This was all achieved within a span of 10 days. Even with the system’s assistance, Leo simply couldn’t put food into full stomachs.

As for Leon, he was still only a quarter of the way through consuming all the rewards, while Miho had already completed her absorption, since what she received was far less.

Nonetheless, she managed to increase her intelligence and agility stats into the 40 to 50 range, effectively becoming a peak 2-star professional.

Leo looked at his newly unlocked trait.

[Tough Body] – 2%

-Bark-textured skin grants exceptional durability and resistance to magic, physical strikes, and elemental erosion.

As he willed the trait to activate, he realized he could only do so to a very small degree, one that didn’t even show any visible change on his body. He changed tactics, focusing only on the back of his palm. This time, he could see his skin take on a slight bark-like texture.

He touched it with his other hand and felt the faint hardness almost as if callouses have generated.

“Hmm… If I completely acquire this trait along with Shyra’s [Obsidian Hide] trait, my body could become indestructible…” he muttered.

Soon, Lily approached. This time, she carried the football-sized beastcore in her hands, resting on a jade tray.

3-headed Hydra Beastcore (Low 5-star) — Super Bloodline

[Elements — Water, Poison, Earth]

Leo could feel the oppressive aura steadily emanating from it.

“Are you sure, Lily?” Leo asked.

“Yes! I feel like I’m lacking in strength, and I can’t wait for something perfect until it’s too late,” she said, her gaze fixed on the beastcore.

Well, she doesn’t need it to be perfect. I can make anything perfect with my talent. Leo thought.

But the question is, what kind of beast species does a hydra belong to? I’m pretty sure it’s dragons… but will I even be able to find them and obtain their beastcores to advance the hydra’s bloodline?

“How about we give this core to Miho so she can contract it? It contains three elements; it would be more useful for her,” Leo suggested.

“Hmm… but don’t you think the power might overwhelm her? I mean, she has just reached peak 2-star, and suddenly giving her a low 5-star beastcore to contract…” Lily said, hesitating.

“No, there’s nothing to think about. I will contract it. Isn’t this hydra supposed to have a water element? Our territory is in dire need of water.”

“But it also has poison. What if the water becomes poisonous?”

“The water will be poisonous only for our enemies. Don’t worry about it,” Lily said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

“Alright, alright, let me quickly take a trip to the library. I need to check something,” Leo said as he called Brok.

Lily nodded and headed off to pluck some berries for snacks.

Leo reached the library and headed straight to the third floor.

The whole of the library entrance was through a single-story, exquisite building adorned in black metal and crystals.

Apparently, the library was in a spatial pocket created by spatial mages.

After showing his unlimited pass on his phone, the librarian stepped aside without a word.

Moving to the beast-type section, he searched for a book containing information on dragons—but found none. After making an inquiry, he learned that dragon-related information began from the fourth floor, since regular students had no business dealing with dragons.

After getting what he needed, he flipped through the pages, the faint rustle echoing in the quiet hall.

“Territory of Sunborn?”

“A whole region spanning hundreds of kilometres is filled with dragon species? Damn…”

“East side?” He paused, frowning slightly.

“Wait… what region of the planet am I even on? I don’t even know my location…”

He set that thought aside for later and shifted his focus to how he could obtain beastcores of dragon species, specifically hydras.

“What the hell? Even a 1-star dragon species beastcore costs up to 10,000 AC? And those aren’t even true dragons… drakelings?”

After reading further, he realised there were many types of dragon species.

1. Draconic Beasts

2. Drakelings

3. Basilisks

4. Amphipteres

5. Lindwurms

6. Knuckers

7. Drakes

8. Wyverns

“Eh? Only this many? Where are the hydras?”

He realized he needed to go higher.

Heading to the fifth floor, he found where hydras stood in the hierarchy.

9. Wyrms

10. Hydras

11. Lung Dragons

12. Feathered Serpents

13. Greater Dragons

The list still wasn’t complete, but it was enough for now.

He turned to the section on hydras.

There were two types of hydras.

A normal hydra, possessing 2 to 3 elements, and an imperial hydra, which wielded multiple elements.

There were 7 imperial hydras that had been sighted, all of them 7-star beasts. A hypothesis suggested that a normal hydra with a noble bloodline would evolve upon reaching 7-star.

“But Lily’s beastcore is a super bloodline…”

That meant the spirit wouldn’t become an imperial hydra with multiple elements—unless Leo used his talent.

After digging further, he discovered that the nearest recorded imperial hydra was located 30,000 km away, in the region of Velerath Grand Academy.

“So, I can increase the bloodline after all. Then let’s get it tamed.”

With that, Leo checked out of the library. But just as he was about to call Brok, he recalled something.

A/N:

Question by:

Discord -> @ripped_geek [Gentle Gorilla]

’Yow sir author. It was said that Leo can share 50-70 percent of his beast stats. Um, how can he achieve 70 percent stat share? As of now, it only appears that he got a 50 percent share.’

Answer:

The reason I state is that 50 – 70% is due to some inconsistency.

For example,

Let’s say Leo’s personal Vitality stat is at 100.

And let’s say Shyra is a pseudo 3-star beast, which means maximum potential stats at 100 across all factors.

So, at bloodbond, Leo will get 50% of the stats, making it 150 overall in vitality

But it’s not that having the potential means she actually has 100 in all.

Let’s say Shyra is at 80 out of 100.

At that time, you can consider around ~60% or ~70% stat is shared, so Leo gets a perfect 150 value.

(It’s to make things easier for me)
