Chapter 1344 - 1330: Sudden Incident

The seven Mountain Elders already understood Baiyu’s intention.

However,

Baiyu’s approach was somewhat incomprehensible to most people. After all, they had such a vast source of power at their disposal, yet instead of exploiting it fully, they intended to free these entities from the constraints of the White Bone Ship.

After a stern lecture from the Butterfly, the seven Mountain Elders quickly realized that as long as they maintained the current state of the White Bone Ship, it would be sufficient.

Soon,

Baiyu understood everything about the White Bone Ship.

This massive vessel could be manipulated at will by him, but it would consume a great deal of energy — alchemical energy that could be converted from Blood Qi and Spirituality, yet no matter how it was converted, Baiyu had to expend it.

After traversing the Spirit Realm,

Baiyu quickly made his way to Holy Scar 17, based on the address Alfred had previously given him.

This was a planet of the Scarred Church.

The entire planet belonged to the Scarred Church, and in almost every city, there was a church with the Scarred Church’s iconic structures.

Here,

the Scarred Church’s doctrine was paramount, superseding even the Imperial laws.

This was a church planet.

Almost everyone here was a follower of the Scarred Church.

As a Bishop of the Scarred Church, Baiyu was naturally able to access this planet.

With alchemy,

Baiyu simply disguised the White Bone Ship to make it look like a normal starship to avoid drawing unwanted attention.

After verifying his identity,

the planetary defense system indeed opened up to him.

After docking the White Bone Ship in near-Earth orbit, a small transport ship swiftly approached, from which a powerful voice emanated:

"Bishop Geman, what brings you to this planet?"

Baiyu replied solemnly, "Just stopping by for a short rest. May I know who am I speaking to?"

"I am the Bishop of the Blast Church of the Scarred Church, Yane. If you haven’t found a place to dock, you are welcome to join us in the city,"

Bishop Yane said.

The Bishops of the Scarred Church were always amicable; after all, within the same church, it’s inevitable to cross paths, and who knows when they might need each other’s help.

Very quickly, Bishop Yane arranged a place for Baiyu.

In Bishop Yane’s city, he found a large military zone just right for docking the White Bone Ship.

"While I’m out, keep watch over the White Bone Ship. If someone tries to intrude, inform me immediately."

Baiyu instructed the Butterfly.

It nodded obediently, "Understood. If anything unusual happens, I will inform you immediately, Master."

Baiyu donned the Bishop’s Robe of the Scarred Church.

Then he exited the White Bone Ship.

Waiting below, Bishop Yane smiled, "Welcome to Ancient Stone City."

Bishop Yane appeared to be around sixty years old, with deep crow’s feet, the marks of time etched profoundly on his face.

Of course,

the most striking feature was Bishop Yane’s forehead.

A twisted scar resembling a centipede lay upon it.

The Bishops of the Scarred Church, to some extent, all bore scars; one like Baiyu was a rarity. After all, scars represented strength. It’s said that some Bishops who have their entire bodies etched with scars possess greater Divine Power from the Scar God.

And they might not even get injured anymore.

The Scar God’s path is indeed peculiar.

The more one fears getting hurt, the fewer scars there are, and thus the less power one can gain.

"Mr. Geman, do you have a mission?"

Yane asked solemnly, "If you have a task, I will fully support you."

Baiyu shook his head, "To tell the truth, some issues have occurred in my parish. I contacted the Judgement Court’s Chief Judge, but I’m not yet sure of the situation."

Yane nodded, saying solemnly, "Chief Judge Alfred? You know him?"

"Yes, I suppose you could say I know him,"

Baiyu said with a smile.

Yane’s expression changed slightly, showing respect, "Then it won’t be long before you’ll work in the Judgement Court."

The Judgement Court.

It was the most feared institution within the Scarred Church.

And, naturally, the one with the most power.

This was the Scarred Church’s militant organization.

In both inner and outer church affairs, the Judgement Court was a force to be reckoned with.

"The Judgement Court? I don’t think so," Baiyu frowned slightly.

Unless Alfred was in desperate need of personnel.

Otherwise,

there shouldn’t be a need to pull him into the Judgement Court.

But behind Alfred was the Scar God, who could converse directly with the Scar God, and Alfred’s actions, in some sense, represented the will of the Scar God.

Even now,

Baiyu was unsure of what the Scar God intended.

The Scar God, along with the City Lord of the Great City, intended to annihilate several Evil Gods, but instead, they fell into a trap and were besieged.

Then the Great City’s Lord employed a backup plan and is now slowly recuperating inside a planet’s Star Core.

And the Scar God fled directly.

To face many and still escape was indeed commendable.

Given it’s a deity who once slain two Stone Gods, its combat ability was assured.

They conversed as they moved along.

Soon, they arrived at the Blast Church.

Just as they were about to delve further into the doctrine and Divine Techniques of scars, inside the church, the statue symbolizing the Scar God suddenly glowed.

Yane approached in wonder.

The light rapidly coalesced into a human shape, transforming directly into Alfred’s appearance.

"Geman, stay here for two days; I am just now heading to the Central Holy Continent for some matters and to handle your issue,"

Alfred said.

Baiyu was not unfamiliar with this form of communication; regarding the two days’ wait Alfred mentioned, Baiyu didn’t have any pressing matters, so waiting was no issue.

"It seems, Bishop Geman, you are indeed to join the Judgement Court."

Yane spoke with great envy.

"I’m not really sure, but every time Alfred seeks me out, it’s never for anything good,"

Baiyu said with some helplessness, spreading his hands.

Two days quickly passed.

Alfred arrived on time, and upon meeting Baiyu, he said, "An acquaintance is looking for you."

"Looking for me?"

Baiyu was quite puzzled.

Inside the Profound Origin Realm, time differed vastly from the Outer World.

The usual ratio was a hundred to one.

That meant a hundred days in the Profound Origin Realm would only be one day in reality. By all accounts, his time within the White Bone Ship was barely a month.

How could someone be suddenly searching for him?

"Yes, the City Lord of the Great City is looking for you, along with several of the Lord’s subordinates,"

Alfred stated.
