Chapter 92: — Grandma.

Kael woke up early. After freshening up, he went downstairs to find Amber still fast asleep.

She looked beautiful in the morning light, one of her breasts spilling out from her nightgown. Kael felt his cock throbbing with a massive morning hard-on, begging for release.

He paused, remembering his decision from the night before. He didn’t want to overwork her by using her for his pleasure constantly. He turned away, choosing to let her rest instead.

Stepping out into the garden, he started his cultivation, focusing his energy on the earth around him.

He sat in the center of the yard, letting his mana flow through the soil. He decided that since he had the whole day ahead of him, he would focus on his training before heading over to his grandmother’s house.

He pushed the thoughts of his morning horniness deep down and committed himself to the cycle of his power, feeling the mana swell within him.

After a quiet breakfast, Kael headed to the bathroom for a quick wash. He was on his own this morning, needing to get an early start for his grandmother’s place.

“Hey, Mom, I’m heading out to Grandma’s,” he called out.

“Take care, Kael,” Amber replied with a warm, soft smile.

He stepped out the door, the morning air crisp and cool. As he walked down the street, he couldn’t help but notice the way people stopped and stared.

It was clear his performance at the ceremony had left a mark on the town. Every pair of eyes that tracked his progress seemed filled with awe and a sudden, sharp respect.

Kael wasn’t aiming to be some legendary mage—his only real goal was to be strong enough to survive whatever life threw at him—but he couldn’t deny that the attention felt good. Still, he kept his head clear.

He knew the type; he’d seen enough shows back on Earth to know what happened to guys who got too cocky and started acting like untouchable villains.

He made a mental note to stay grounded. He wanted power, not a shallow grave.

Ignoring the whispers following him, Kael’s initial pride quickly curdled into irritation.

He realized too late that people weren’t whispering about his impressive display of power at the ceremony; they were gawking and gossiping about the spectacle he’d made of himself with the village chief wife, Nana.

Finding that his dick was getting more attention than his hard-earned cultivation, Kael seethed, struggling to decide who he wanted to snap at first.

He kept his head down and his pace fast, refusing to stop or engage with anyone until he reached the outskirts of town and found Emily’s home.

The house itself was tiny—hardly more than two cramped rooms—but the garden attached to it was massive, overflowing with vibrant, flowering plants.

As he approached, he saw Emily standing in the middle of the greenery, calmly watering the flowers as if she hadn’t just watched him fucking his mother in the dirt the day before.

Kael let himself through the gate, offering her a warm, genuine smile. “Hello, Grandma. I’m here, just like you asked.”

He felt a deep sense of comfort whenever he was around her. Unlike the rest of the world, Emily always looked at him with such kindness—like she truly understood his heart and loved him exactly as he was.

Her presence felt like a safe harbor.

Emily’s face lit up with a sweet, affectionate smile as she set down her watering can. “Oh, my sweet boy! Come, take a seat right here in the garden. I’ll go inside and get you something delicious to eat.”

Kael settled onto the cool, soft grass, feeling the tension of the walk melt away.

“You don’t have to go to any trouble, Grandma,” he said, his voice softening with genuine care.

“I already had a good breakfast before I left home.”

“Nonsense,” she chuckled, patting his shoulder tenderly. “But very well. Just wait for me here, dear. I’ll be finished with these flowers in just a few minutes.”

Kael nodded, feeling perfectly at ease as he watched her work. While she moved among the vibrant blooms, he began to look around her little home with newfound curiosity.

It was small and humble, but it felt incredibly warm and inviting—much like Emily herself. He leaned back, enjoying the peaceful hum of the garden and the simple, loving company of his grandmother.

“So, how are you feeling after your outstanding performance from yesterday, kid?”

Emily asked with a twinkle in her eye, settling down on the grass beside him.

Kael tried to play it cool, giving a small, bashful shrug. “It was nothing much, really,” he laughed.

Emily chuckled, a warm, bright sound that made Kael feel instantly at home. “Nothing much? If Nana heard you saying that, she’d be fuming with rage!”

Kael felt his face heat up, a deep blush creeping across his cheeks.

“What are you…” He wanted to ask what she was talking about that, but Emily just patted his hand gently, her expression softening into one of pure grandmotherly affection.

“I was there, dear,” she said, her voice dropping to a comforting, conspiratorial whisper.

“You don’t need to be so stiff with your granny. You can open up to me. I like to think I’m much better at understanding what’s going on in that head of yours than anyone else around here. If you’re facing any struggles or have things weighing on you, you can tell me.”

Kael’s entire body went on high alert. A cold prickle of tension ran down his spine despite the warmth of her presence.

Why did she think he was facing problems? Did she see through his act entirely, or was she just a grandmother picking up on his restless energy?

He looked at her kind, beautiful face, searching for a hint of judgment, but found only the genuine, doting concern of a woman who loved him deeply.

Kael held her gaze, testing the waters. “Why would you say that, Granny? I think you already know pretty much everything I’m facing.”

He knew there was no point in wearing a mask with her. He had successfully fooled the people of Korua with his displays, but Emily was different.

Last time she had examined his mana meridians, she had sensed a strange, ancient resonance—a signature strikingly similar to that of a dragon.

At the time, he had hoped it was just a coincidence, but after his bursts of power at the ceremony, he knew she had definitely made the connection.

Emily looked at him for a long moment, her eyes filled with infinite patience. She could see he wasn’t ready to spill all his secrets yet, so she chose not to push him.

She knew her grandson better than anyone; he would come to her when the burden became too heavy.

She smiled softly and patted his thighs. “Okay, let’s leave that for later. I actually pulled you up here to discuss a different matter.”

She paused, her expression turning serious yet encouraging. “I would like to mentor you for your mana cultivation, Kael. You have a unique gift, and I believe I can help you master it properly. What do you say?”
