Chapter 753: Chapter 750: You Are Destined to Never Get Rid of Me
Jean Jarvis stared blankly at the dagger for two seconds, then quickly bent down and gripped its hilt.
’It’s all over. Cedric Grant won’t have any affection left for me or Chloe. I’ve already been kicked out of the Grant family, and Chloe will be next.’
’Our dream of living as a wealthy socialite and a young heiress, enjoying a life of luxury, has been shattered. We’ll have to go back to the days of being outcasts, suffering from gossip and scorn. How could I possibly accept that?!’
’And this was all his fault!’
Jean Jarvis looked up at Adam Warren, whose back was turned to her. She then glanced at Chloe Grant, still unconscious on the sofa.
’When she wakes up and finds out her own father violated her, how will she be able to go on living?!’
’Adam Warren... he’s unforgivable. He doesn’t deserve to be forgiven.’
"Adam Warren, go to hell!" Jean Jarvis suddenly screamed, lunging at him.
Adam Warren heard her voice and turned around. When he saw her charging at him with the dagger, it was too late to dodge.
The dagger plunged straight into his left abdomen, the entire blade disappearing into his body.
He looked down in disbelief at the blade embedded in his torso. ’Heh, the daughter failed to kill me with this knife, but the mother actually did it!’
’It seems I’m destined to die at the hands of this mother and daughter.’
Adam Warren looked up, wanting to say something to Jean Jarvis, but the moment he opened his mouth, blood trickled out.
"Jean... I didn’t... I didn’t touch her..." He had wanted to. But he had just finished switching their clothes and hadn’t had a chance to do anything before her thunderous knocking ruined his mood.
But Jean Jarvis spat viciously, "You put Chloe in this state! Even if you didn’t touch her, does that give you a clear conscience? Does that erase the trauma you’ve seared into her mind?"
"Adam Warren, meeting you has been the shame and regret of my entire life! You didn’t just ruin me, you ruined Chloe, too. You deserve to die!"
With that, Jean Jarvis violently yanked the dagger from his body, preparing to stab him in the chest for a fatal blow.
But Adam Warren summoned all his strength and grabbed her hand. Before she could react, he wrenched the dagger from her grasp, and with a swift reverse motion, plunged it into her chest.
Jean Jarvis’s brow furrowed in pain. Before she even had a chance to look down, Adam Warren yanked the blade out again.
Blood gushed out, and Jean Jarvis immediately collapsed to the floor.
Adam Warren clutched his left side with one hand, the dagger still in the other. He let out a few crazed laughs at Jean Jarvis. "Meeting me is your shame and regret? Then let’s make that regret last forever. Even in death, even in hell, I’ll never let you go."
"Hahaha, Jean, you’re destined to never be free of me! Not in this life, not in the next, not for all eternity!"
It had all happened too suddenly. At the doorway, Cedric Grant and Clara Grant stood frozen, unable to process the scene for a long moment.
When they finally snapped back to their senses, they saw that both Adam Warren and Jean Jarvis had been stabbed. One lay writhing in a pool of her own blood, while the other stood laughing maniacally, blood streaming from his wound.
Jean Jarvis’s vision began to blur, and the light in her eyes started to fade.
She looked at Chloe Grant on the sofa, then stirred. Inch by painful inch, she began to drag herself toward her daughter.
When she finally reached the sofa, she reached out and picked up a piece of clothing from the floor. Using the very last of her strength, she tried to cover Chloe Grant, as if to preserve her daughter’s final shred of dignity.
