Chapter 725: Chapter 722: His and Her Son

"So, I decided to have him. Sierra Sutton and I went to the U.S.A, and my parents were responsible for stalling you. Three months, then another three, and another two...

Finally, you chose to break off our engagement. But what good did that do? For a long time after, you weren’t with any other women. So I thought that if I just came back, we could start over.

I know you too well. Women don’t mean that much to you. You wouldn’t waste your time getting to know some strange woman you just married!

But I was wrong! Clara Grant’s appearance shattered my every fantasy. You knew her for such a short time and you fell in love with her! Of course I couldn’t accept it. Why?! Why did she get something I couldn’t have in over twenty years, and without even lifting a finger?

So, I came back as soon as I could. I was going to drive you away from Seth Quinn! I was supposed to be his wife! But..."

As she spoke, she paused and looked at Clara Grant. "Now that it’s come to this, Clara Grant, you’ve won, and I’ve lost everything! Are you happy now? Are you happy?!"

Autumn Shelby grew agitated and lunged for Clara Grant. In a flash, Seth Quinn pulled Clara into his arms protectively and gave the attacking Autumn a hard shove with his other hand.

Autumn Shelby stumbled back two steps and fell to the ground...

Startled, Sierra Sutton put down the baby and immediately rushed to her side, crouching down to help her up.

But Autumn Shelby shoved him away again. "Sierra Sutton, don’t touch me! This is all your fault! It’s all because of you! If you hadn’t touched me that day, I would have married Seth Quinn without a problem, and I’d be Mrs. Quinn right now! It’s all because of you! I hate you! I hate you!"

Sierra Sutton stared at her, stunned, for a moment. Then he silently got to his feet, his eyes filled with a bleak sorrow.

He knew she didn’t love him. He’d always known. Even after she’d given birth to his child, she had never loved him.

’But even if she didn’t love him,’ he thought, ’she at least knew that *he* loved *her*, right? Even if she didn’t love him, shouldn’t she at least respect his love for her?’

But she actually *hated* him!

’Maybe he really had made a mistake back then. He knew she didn’t love him, yet he hadn’t been able to resist when she took the initiative.’

’Otherwise, things never would have turned out this way.’

Silence. No one in the grand hall spoke. There was only the sound of Autumn Shelby and Yvette Zimmerman crying.

After a moment, Theodore Quinn shifted, his gaze sweeping over everyone. "Everyone is tired," he said. "Let’s call it a day."

Then, he looked at Sienna Hale and said, "Sienna, come help me upstairs."

Sienna Hale gave Autumn Shelby one last look, looking as if she wanted to say something but holding her tongue. In the end, she turned, went to Theodore Quinn’s side, and helped him upstairs.

Seeing that Theodore Quinn hadn’t brought the hammer down on the Shelby Family, Evan Shelby was flooded with relief. ’Thank goodness, thank goodness. The Quinn Family isn’t planning to move against us.’

He turned to Yvette Zimmerman, strode forward, and grabbed her arm. "What are you still crying for? Hurry up and get your precious daughter out of here!"

Yvette Zimmerman shot him a glare but said nothing. Together, they helped Autumn up from the floor and prepared to leave.

Autumn Shelby’s gaze, however, fell upon the baby in Sierra Sutton’s arms. She knew his name was Samuel Sutton. Sierra had chosen it to signify that he was *their* son—his and hers.

Looking at his chubby little face and clear eyes, Autumn Shelby’s lips parted as if she wanted to say something.

The baby stared at her for a second, then instantly turned away toward Clara Grant, reaching out his little hands for her to hold him and calling, "Mama."
