Chapter 673: Chapter 670: Sierra Sutton? He’s Back in the Country?

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, several days had passed. It was now the day before Theodore Quinn’s sixtieth birthday.

These past few days, Clara Grant had been constantly thinking about the lie she told Seth Quinn, and it made her feel awkward whenever she was with him.

She realized that people really shouldn’t lie. Ever since she had, it felt like a heavy stone was constantly pressing on her heart, making it hard to breathe.

So, she decided she had to tell Seth the truth.

After making this decision, Clara felt much more at ease.

Early that morning, Seth and Clara Grant got up and headed to the main residence for breakfast. On the way, Clara glanced at Seth, who was driving, and said, "Seth, are you free this morning? I don’t have class. Will you go shopping with me?"

’The more relaxed the atmosphere, the easier it’ll be for me to confess,’ she thought. ’And the more likely Seth will be to forgive me for lying.’

Seth turned to look at her and smiled. "Of course. Whenever you’re free, so am I."

His words brought a blissful smile to Clara’s face. "Thank you, darling."

Seth gazed at her dotingly, slowed the car, and leaned over to give her a kiss.

Before his lips could touch her cheek, a loud wolf whistle suddenly cut through the air.

Seth and Clara simultaneously looked out the window. Miles Quinn had driven up from behind them, pulling his car up alongside theirs on a road just wide enough for two vehicles.

"Hey, Big Bro, Clara! You two aren’t going to let a single second on the road go to waste when it comes to PDA, are you?" Miles Quinn teased, one hand on the steering wheel and the other resting on the open window frame.

His words made Clara blush instantly. She greeted him shyly, "Miles, are... are you going to eat too?"

"Clara, what are you saying? If I’m not going to eat, what am I supposed to do? Watch you two eat? Then I’d really be the miserable third wheel, watching you two feast," Miles chuckled, teasing her.

Clara’s face turned an even deeper shade of red. Seth, however, shot Miles a death glare, his words laced with a clear threat.

"Miles, it seems like your life has been a little too comfortable lately. Has it been a while since the old man last pestered you about getting married?"

"Alright, alright! Bro, Clara, I’ll get going! Don’t want to interrupt. You two take your time with the PDA."

With that, as if afraid his big brother would snitch on him to the old man if he delayed another second, he slammed on the gas. The car shot off with a WHOOSH.

...

At the mall, Clara Grant dragged Seth into a men’s clothing store. She had him try on a shirt she’d seen a few days ago that she thought would be perfect for him. Sure enough, it looked fantastic on him, so she bought it.

The two of them left the store carrying the bag with the new shirt. Seth turned his head to look at Clara and asked, "Clara, what do you want? I’ll buy it for you."

"Hmm..." Clara pretended to think for a moment, then said with a smile, "I want a cold drink. I’m dying of thirst."

"Let’s go get one," Seth said with a smile, ruffling her hair affectionately.

They went to a drink shop and bought a cold drink. Clara took a few big gulps as they walked, then offered it to Seth. "You have some too."

Seth lowered his head and took a symbolic sip. "It’s actually really good," he nodded.

Clara let out a small laugh. ’It should be about time to confess,’ she thought.

So she cleared her throat and began, "Seth, actually, that day..."

She had only gotten a few words out when Seth, who was beside her, suddenly stopped in his tracks.

Clara looked over in surprise. His gaze was fixed on a certain direction, a look of mild astonishment on his face as he murmured, "Sierra Sutton? She’s back in the country?"
