Kong Lizhen had promised to take Mu Yan to the hospital for a checkup, so she came over to call Mu Yan after getting ready.

Seeing that the breakfast on the table had been touched, she smiled and said, "At last, you have an appetite, if you don’t eat soon, I’ll worry myself sick."

"I was really starving, so I ordered some food myself. Godmother, have you eaten?" Mu Yan asked.

"Not yet, so I’ll have some here with you." Kong Lizhen said, "Then we’ll go to the hospital together."

"I’m fine, so maybe we can skip the hospital," Mu Yan said quietly.

Kong Lizhen stared at her for a few seconds; her complexion indeed looked much better than yesterday, and today she had an appetite.

"Then shall we go for a walk?"

Mu Yan hesitated and said, "Godmother, I’ve been staying here for a few days; I should go home now."

Kong Lizhen’s expression changed slightly, she looked at her and asked, "Aren’t you comfortable staying here?"

"Of course not; living with you makes me very happy," Mu Yan said.

Seeing her expression, Kong Lizhen seemed to understand, "You’re worried about the one at your place?"

Mu Yan felt a bit embarrassed but didn’t deny it.

"When he left yesterday, he entrusted you to me. If you go back now, how will I explain it to him?" Kong Lizhen pretended to sigh.

Hearing how concerned Jiang Jingheng was about her, Mu Yan felt a sweetness in her heart.

"I’m an adult; I shouldn’t need you to take care of me. I should be taking care of you instead."

"Alright, if you want to go back, I’ll take you back. Otherwise, I’d be the bad guy splitting up a couple."

"No way!" Mu Yan said playfully, placing a piece of dessert in Kong Lizhen’s bowl, "Eat more, godmother."

She also picked up a grilled sausage and took a bite, but suddenly felt a bit nauseous.
