A Farmer's Journey To Immortality

Chapter 805: Investing in the Future

Aksai’s tired eyes immediately became sharper.

“Tell me.”

Yelia slowly floated forward while looking across the enormous underground farm.

“The Enchanted Everwood Farm is not an ordinary artifact space,” she explained calmly. “It possesses the ability to absorb and integrate isolated environments into itself.”

Aksai narrowed his eyes slightly.

“Absorb?”

Yelia nodded again.

“Yes. If certain conditions are met, the farm can directly consume this entire gu insect farm together with its formations, habitats, and environmental systems.

“How do you think the artifact was forged inside the Holy Land Torel in the first place? The space it has now originally belonged to the sect’s isolated dimension.”

For the first time since entering the underground farm, genuine surprise appeared on Aksai’s face.

“You mean to say the whole thing can be absorbed by the Farm?”

“Yes.”

Yelia pointed toward the distant formation pillars spread throughout the underground area.

“You only need to plant spatial flags around the major points of this place. Once the spatial structure becomes stable enough, the Enchanted Everwood Farm can pull the entire area into itself.”

She paused briefly before continuing.

“Of course, the Dadangar World’s space cannot be devoured just like that without facing severe consequences. As such, I will devour most of the space before altering the remaining portion using the spatial runes I have in reserve.

“We will use the Spatial Anchoring feature of the Farm. But instead of using the anchor to give fixed coordinates to the Farm, we’ll use it as a hook to pull a small slice of the original world. Then I’ll use the accumulated spatial runes to patch the void created by the missing slice.

“Basically, we’ll steal a vessel full of fruits and replace it with an empty vessel of equal size and quality. This way, the World Will of this world will not punish us for our actions because it doesn’t care about what is inside the vessel as long as the vessel itself is not harmed.”

Aksai’s heartbeat sped up slightly. If that truly worked, it would become one of the biggest gains of his entire life.

However, Yelia continued speaking calmly.

“There is a cost, though.”

Aksai immediately became cautious again.

“What kind of cost?”

Yelia looked directly into his eyes.

“You will need to spend a very large amount of Spirit Farming Points.”

The moment he heard that, Aksai’s expression instantly stiffened.

“…How many?”

Yelia calmly stated the number.

Aksai almost choked.

“Fuc*k!”

His face twitched violently. Those Spirit Farming Points were something he had accumulated carefully for nearly an entire decade. Every single point was precious.

He had saved them painstakingly while developing the Enchanted Everwood Farm little by little over the years. He originally wanted to alter the Demon Tree’s area using those points so that the tree could grow even further and help him refine his druid bloodline.

There were many other uses for the Spirit Farming Points as well. He needed to upgrade his Spirit resources after obtaining so many high-level alchemy techniques related to poison and other fields.

Plus, he still needed to upgrade various facilities inside the farm. His alchemy lab, talisman creation lab, array formation lab, and smithy—all of them required Spirit Farming Points for upgrades.

Aksai had planned to wait a few more months before upgrading those facilities all at once. But now, it seemed those plans would have to be postponed.

Yelia wanted him to spend nearly all of his Spirit Farming Points in one go.

Aksai immediately felt pain in his heart.

“That’s robbery,” he muttered bitterly.

Yelia smiled helplessly.

“The gu insect farm is enormous. The formations are also very advanced. Integrating such a large isolated environment into the Enchanted Everwood Farm naturally requires tremendous energy.”

She paused briefly before continuing.

“Only Origin Energy is capable of altering the spatial laws of the world you currently reside in without angering the World Will. And since you cannot control or manipulate Origin Energy yourself with your current cultivation base, you have no choice but to use Spirit Farming Points, Master.”

Aksai clicked his tongue. He slowly looked around the underground farm once more.

Rows of valuable gu insects.

Ancient poison formations.

Alchemy dolls.

Rare poison resources.

4th Order gu habitats.

Every single thing here was valuable beyond imagination. Perhaps even more valuable than the things he had ” permanently borrowed” from Arkaal’s apothecary. If he abandoned this place now, he would probably regret it for years.

Aksai remained silent for a long while.

Eventually—

He let out a long sigh.

“…Fine.”

His eyes slowly became firm again.

“I’ll treat it as an investment.”

Yelia smiled softly after hearing his answer. Without wasting time, she immediately started explaining the process.

Aksai quickly began moving through the underground farm. Under Yelia’s guidance, he planted spatial flags at various important locations throughout the area.

Some were placed near major formation nodes.

Some near the central poison chambers.

Others near the 4th Order gu habitats.

The process took quite a while because of the farm’s enormous size.

Fortunately, the remaining gu insects had already become relatively calm after losing their masters. Most of the automatic formations were still functioning normally as well.

Eventually—

After planting the final spatial flag, Aksai returned to the center of the underground farm.

Yelia floated quietly beside him.

“It is ready.”

Aksai slowly inhaled.

Even now, his heart still hurt when he thought about the amount of Spirit Farming Points he was about to spend. Those points could have been used for many future upgrades. But compared to the value of this gu insect farm, it was still worth it.

Probably.

Hopefully.

“…Activate it,” he said with a pained expression.

The next moment—

All the spatial flags lit up together. Bright silver light spread rapidly across the underground farm.

Rumble!

The entire area started shaking violently. Massive waves of spatial power spread outward from every direction. Countless formations inside the farm began glowing brightly at the same time.
