Chapter 804: Gu Insect Farm
It is said that the loot goblins won’t rest until their work is thoroughly completed.
Aksai wasn’t any different. At one corner of the apothecary, he found several sealed black cabinets protected by smaller formations.
After breaking the seals, his eyes narrowed slightly. Inside were dozens of potions and pills radiating terrifying pressure. Even the air around them felt different.
[4th Order medicinal products identified.]
[Warning: Several contain lethal poison.]
[Recommended handling method uploaded.]
Aksai carefully stored the items one by one. Some bottles contained healing medicine. Others contained poison capable of killing Core Formation Lords within seconds if used properly.
One black pill even caused the surrounding space to distort faintly. Aksai immediately became cautious.
“Nuri?”
[Unknown poison compound.]
[Danger level extremely high.]
[Recommendation: Store without direct contact.]
Aksai instantly sealed the pill inside multiple containers before sending it away safely. The deeper he explored the apothecary, the more shocked he became. It seemed that Arkaal had kept a large part of the apothecary hidden from Aksai’s view when they first arrived.
And rightly so, Aksai thought. After all, Arkaal’s collection was absurdly rich.
“This old man really was preparing to become a Nascent Soul King someday,” Aksai muttered quietly.
Eventually, Aksai reached the innermost section of the apothecary. This area was much cleaner and more organized than the others.
Several large alchemy furnaces rested there quietly. Strange poison formations glowed beneath them faintly. Nearby stood rows of locked cabinets made from black spirit wood.
Aksai slowly opened one of them.
The moment he did—
Dense Spirit light burst outward. Inside rested dozens of high-grade spirit stones along with several rare 4th Order poison materials.
Even Aksai’s breathing slowed slightly. Then he smiled.
“Looks like my losses today were not as terrible as I thought.”
Without wasting any more time, Aksai completely emptied the cabinets. At this point, the once-packed apothecary had become almost empty.
Shelves stood bare. Cabinets remained open. Containers vanished. Only dust and faint poison smells remained behind.
Aksai slowly looked around the robbed treasury with satisfaction. Then he stretched his sore shoulders lightly.
Crack.
Crack.
“Nuri,” he spoke calmly.
[Yes, Master.]
“How much did we earn today? An approximate figure in Spirit Stones will do.”
A brief pause followed.
Then countless numbers and estimates started appearing before his eyes.
Even Aksai’s lips twitched slightly after seeing the total value.
“…Damn,” he muttered honestly.
“Robbing people really does feel rewarding. It makes me wonder why am I trying to earn money through my guild?”
Aksai thought to himself and was just about to leave the apothecary when Nuri’s voice suddenly echoed inside his Mind Palace.
[Hidden structure detected.]
Aksai stopped walking immediately.
“Hm?”
He turned around slowly while looking at the now half-empty apothecary. Shelves had already become barren after he robbed most of the important resources. Spirit herbs, poison ingredients, alchemy records, talismans, manuals, and countless valuable items had already been sent into the Enchanted Everwood Farm.
And yet, Nuri’s notification appeared again.
[Abnormal spatial density detected behind the eastern wall section.]
[Probability of hidden passage: 93.7%.]
Aksai’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“There’s more?”
His exhaustion instantly lessened a little. A hidden passage inside a place controlled by Qishan and Arkaal definitely wouldn’t be ordinary.
“Lead the way,” he said calmly.
The next moment, several spectral lines appeared inside his vision. They guided him toward the far corner of the apothecary where rows of poison ingredient cabinets were placed against a thick stone wall.
At first glance, nothing looked unusual.
However, after reaching the location, Aksai quickly noticed something strange. The Spirit Essence flowing through that section of the wall was slightly different from the surrounding structure.
Very subtle. So subtle that even many Lords would fail to notice it. But under Nuri’s constant analysis, the flaw became obvious.
[Layered concealment runes detected.]
[Recommended destruction point marked.]
A small glowing red symbol appeared in Aksai’s vision. Aksai immediately raised his hand. Spirit Essence gathered rapidly around his fingers.
“Earth Control.”
Rumble!
The ground trembled violently. The nearby stone walls cracked apart as the pressure of earth-attributed Spirit Essence slammed directly into the marked location.
Boom!
The outer layer of stone shattered instantly.
But beneath it—
Another wall appeared. This one was covered in dark-green runes.
A sealing formation. A faint smile appeared on Aksai’s face.
“So there really was something hidden here.”
The runes suddenly lit up brighter as if sensing outside interference. Poison mist started leaking out from the gaps.
Unfortunately for the formation—
This was no longer the same Aksai from a few hours ago.
After cracking the massive 4th Order sealing formation outside, his understanding of formations and Heretic Dao had improved tremendously.
More importantly—
Nuri had improved as well. Countless spectral notifications instantly appeared before his eyes.
[Formation structure analyzed.]
[Weak points identified.]
[Recommended corruption sequence uploaded.]
[Estimated cracking time: 47 seconds.]
Aksai grinned slightly.
“Now that’s more like it.”
The next moment, both his hands moved rapidly. Spirit Essence flowed into multiple runes at the same time while he used Heretic Dao methods to interfere with the formation’s internal structure.
Instead of directly destroying the formation, he corrupted the flow of energy between the array eyes. The glowing runes started flickering chaotically almost immediately.
Buzzzzzz!
The formation attempted to retaliate. Several poison needles shot outward.
Aksai casually stepped aside while redirecting a nearby rune flow. The poison needles instantly turned around and smashed into the wall instead.
Boom!
Cracks spread further across the formation. Then Aksai opened his mouth slightly.
“Fire Breath.”
Whoooosh!
Blazing flames exploded outward and swallowed the unstable rune structure completely. The already corrupted formation finally collapsed.
Crack!
Crack!
Crack!
The glowing runes shattered apart one after another before fading completely. A heavy stone door hidden behind the wall slowly moved aside.
Rumble!
Cold air rushed outward from the hidden passage.
Aksai raised an eyebrow slightly.
“Interesting.”
Without hesitation, he stepped forward and entered the hidden area.
The moment he crossed the passage—
He froze briefly.
An enormous underground space appeared before him. The area was so massive that it looked like a hidden underground world.
Rows upon rows of formations covered the ground in every direction. Countless glowing array circles pulsed faintly while dense poison essence filled the air.
And inside those formations—
Gu insects.
Everywhere.
Aksai’s eyes widened slightly as he looked around.
“This…”
Even he felt shocked. There were countless types of gu insects spread across different sections of the underground farm.
Some were tiny flying insects with glowing wings. Some looked like black beetles covered in poison spikes. Some resembled centipedes longer than a human body.
Others looked like translucent worms floating inside liquid-filled containers. The farm was divided carefully into multiple sections based on cultivation order.
1st Order.
2nd Order.
3rd Order.
And even—
4th Order gu insects.
The deeper areas of the farm released terrifying poison pressure. Even the surrounding formations looked far more complicated there.
Meanwhile, numerous alchemy dolls moved throughout the farm mechanically.
Some fed poison resources into formations. Some cleaned dead insects. Some adjusted formation temperatures.
Others carried corpses of demon beasts used as food for the gu insects. Everything operated automatically. The entire place looked like a massive production facility dedicated solely to raising gu insects.
Aksai slowly exhaled.
“No wonder the Gu Poison lineage became so terrifying.”
This place alone could support an entire poison sect for generations.
Nuri’s notifications continued appearing rapidly.
[Scanning active formations…]
[Warning: Most gu insects linked to environmental habitats.]
[Removing them directly may result in mass death.]
Aksai’s expression quickly became complicated. That was the biggest problem with gu insects. Unlike ordinary demon beasts, many gu insects depended heavily on their formation environments to survive.
Temperature.
Poison density.
Spirit Essence flow.
Humidity.
Corpse nutrients.
Alchemy liquids.
Everything mattered.
If removed carelessly, many of these gu insects would die within days or weeks.
Even storing them inside the Enchanted Everwood Farm would not solve the issue immediately. Unless he recreated the same habitats and formations there, the insects would slowly perish.
Aksai suddenly felt a headache coming.
“So many…”
He rubbed his forehead tiredly while staring at the enormous gu farm.
“This is going to be a nightmare to move.”
The aspirant gu insect farmer scratched the back of his head in thought as he looked at the edge of the massive gu insect farm.
At that moment—
A soft green light suddenly appeared beside him. Tiny particles of light gathered together slowly before forming into the figure of a young woman.
Long green hair flowed gently behind her body like soft vines. Her dress looked as though it was woven from leaves and flowers themselves. A faint natural aura surrounded her entire body peacefully.
She was Yelia. The Artifact Spirit of the Enchanted Everwood Farm.
Aksai blinked slightly in surprise.
“Yelia?”
The beautiful spirit floated quietly beside him while observing the massive gu insect farm calmly. Then she smiled softly.
“Master,” she said gently, “you do not need to leave this place behind.”
Aksai raised an eyebrow.
“You have a solution?”
Yelia nodded lightly.
“Indeed. There is a simple method.”
