He’d come into her room, used her bathroom, worn her bathrobe... she could still understand all that, but why did he have to take out her lightbulb?

Did her lightbulb offend him?

"Because your lightbulb is as dumb as you—it can never see through my heart," Dan Tingye seemed to catch her question, stood up from the tatami, and walked toward her.

His tall, slender figure stopped right in front of her, his eyes slightly lowered as he stared at her delicate, pretty face.

He was very tall; Meimei only came up to his chest. When he leaned toward her just a little, he blocked out all the light in front of her, and their shadows completely overlapped.

He lowered his head, his handsome face approaching hers. Their noses were almost touching, their breaths already tangled together. Meimei, nervous, wanted to step back, but Dan Tingye was faster—his hand had already come around to clamp onto her waist.

"Come with me, I won’t eat you," Dan Tingye’s hand slid down and naturally took her hand, pulling her toward the balcony.

"You’ve had a long day, have a glass of wine to relax," his voice was soft, carrying a subtle, inexplicable allure.

Only then did Dan Tingye let go of her, sitting down on the other side of the tatami.

"I’m afraid you’ll get drunk. I have to keep an eye on you," Dan Tingye lied without so much as a blush or a skipped heartbeat.

He wasn’t afraid of her getting drunk; he fully intended to get her drunk!

Obviously, Meimei was already drunk, and badly so. Hearing what Dan Tingye said, not only did she not argue, she even nodded foolishly.

"I can’t hold my liquor, I get drunk easily. Dad never lets me get drunk. If you watch me, I won’t run around..." Meimei hiccupped, and when she heard that Dan Tingye would watch her, she giggled foolishly.
