Chapter 2832: Chapter 2832: A Beautiful Time for Two (Part 5)
Meimei stumbled a bit underfoot, almost falling, and looked back at him in surprise.
What did he just say?
He’s going to help her wash the dishes? Did she hear wrong?
Just imagining Tingye standing in front of the sink washing dishes made Meimei shake her head uncontrollably, biting her lip, "It’s not necessary, it’s just two bowls, I can do it myself."
He is the idol of countless girls; how could she dare to let him wash dishes for her? She’s afraid of shortening her life.
Tingye watched as she walked into the kitchen, not hurrying forward, just standing at the door, watching her put down the bowls, rinse them with water, squeeze out some detergent to create a handful of foam; only then did his tall figure walk forward, hugging her from behind, taking the dishcloth from her hand, and washing the dishes effortlessly.
"Tingye..."
Meimei’s petite body stiffened, embraced in Tingye’s arms, feeling as if she was encased in plaster, not daring to move an inch.
"Be careful of the foam, just stand still, I’ll wash them," Tingye said indifferently, his arm wrapped around her waist tightening slightly, pulling Meimei more firmly into his embrace.
Noticing Meimei’s body tense up, instead of releasing her, he deliberately grabbed her hand, holding onto it, pulling her along to help him wash the dishes.
Meimei’s fingers became rigid, her large crystal-clear eyes revealing a bewildered helplessness, only able to follow his lead in washing the dishes.
Even though there were only two bowls, Tingye managed to keep her washing for more than ten minutes, until Meimei, unable to hold back, spoke up.
"They should be clean now, just rinse them with water."
Tingye glanced at her, with a wicked smile tugging at the corner of his lips, "Really? I don’t often get the chance to wash dishes, I’m inexperienced."
"..."
He was a rich young master, who at his private villa would dare make him wash dishes?
Meimei was silently grumbling to herself when Tingye, already bending down, moved closer to her cheek, his warm breath on her neck, causing an itch she couldn’t describe, making her blood feel like it’s on fire, turning her into someone she’s not.
She wanted to run, but her entire being was enclosed in Tingye’s embrace, surrounded by his overpowering presence, with no place to escape.
"I’ll just rinse them now, you don’t need to help anymore," Meimei summoned the courage to say, turning on the faucet, placing the bowl underneath, not daring to look at Tingye.
Her face was already flushed red, like fiery clouds in a sunset.
Unknowingly, the arm at her waist had already released her, but Meimei was too tense to notice, and it wasn’t until she came to her senses that she realized Tingye had left the kitchen at some point.
Was he angry?
Meimei’s heart tightened, her pearl-like teeth biting at her cherry lips, as she placed the bowl properly, washed her hands, shook off the water, and walked outside.
Arriving at the living room, she found it empty.
Instinctively, she looked toward the entrance, seeing Tingye’s shoes still there, her heart relaxed suddenly; he hadn’t left.
This time, she didn’t go looking for a guest room, instead heading straight toward her own room.
The room lights weren’t on, leaving the place dimly lit.
Just as Meimei reached the doorway, her attention was caught by the flickering firelight on the table.
Beside the floor-to-ceiling window, a small coffee table held two glasses of red wine, a red candlestick swaying romantically in the night.
Tingye sat on the tatami next to it, his slender fingers gently tapping the rim of a glass, looking at her deeply, extending his hand toward her, his thin lips gently parted.
"Meimei, come sit by my side."
