Chapter 215: Walk of Shame (Part - 2)
"MAKE WAY!"
"Make way for the Goat-Fucking Young Master!"
A thunderous roar suddenly exploded from the middle of the crowded street, and Gu Bao’s entire body stiffened.
His face, which had already become deathly pale, lost another shade of colour.
The two Gu Clan guards dragging him forward also stiffened, but neither dared to raise his head.
They had been gone inside the brothel for the time it takes to burn barely half an incense, yet somehow, the news had already travelled faster than a Nascent Soul cultivator fleeing from his creditors.
A huge, bald cultivator pushed through the crowd and pointed directly at Gu Bao.
"Look! It’s really him! The Second Young Master of the Gu Clan! and ’The legendary Goat Conqueror!’"
HAHAHAHAHA! The street exploded in a wave of laughter,
"SHUT UP!" Gu Bao nearly collapsed.
But infortunately, his roar only attracted more attention.
"Young Master Gu!" The Bai Clan elder who just had his turn sneered even louder as he cipped his hands and bowed in front of Gu Bao, "Forgive this old sould for his previous transgression and short-sightedness."
"I think I know understand the profoundness behind your actions."
"The Gu Clan is planning to strengthen its bloodline by marrying into the Spirit Goat Clan?! Aren’t I right?"
However just as he spoke, another elder from the Bai Clan looked at his clan brother and frowned while shouting.
"Old bastard, don’t spread nonsense!" He said, "The goat hasn’t agreed to the marriage yet!"
"HAHAHAHAHA!"
"You... Ugghhh!" Gu Bao’s heart could not take it anymore and he vomitted out a mouthful of blackish-red blood.
And while they were here to protect him, one of Gu Bao’s guards suddenly coughed. He was trying his best no to give in. And he immediately straightened.
"You..." Gu Bao looked at the guard, "Did you just...?"
"Young Master, this subordinate was merely clearing his throat."
"You fucking laughed!"
"This subordinate would never dare."
"YOUR SHOULDERS ARE SHAKING!"
"This subordinate has... suffered an internal injury."
"You bastard!"
Gu Bao tried pulling his arm free.
He nearly fell face-first into the road.
The guard quickly caught him.
"Young Master, please be careful."
"Don’t touch me!"
"But you’ll fall."
"I SAID DON’T..."
He instinctively tried circulating his Qi, but the result remained the same. Nothing happened. His meridians felt like someone had stuffed wet cotton into them. He couldn’t even properly stand without assistance.
Running away was impossible for him. Thus, the mighty First Stage Origin Realm cultivator could only be dragged forward by two embarrassed guards while wearing nothing but a filthy blanket.
Then someone shouted the question that would probably haunt Gu Bao throughout his life and into his next reincarnation.
"Young Master Gu!"
"Was sixty thousand spirit stones for the front or the back?!"
Silence. The street went into pin drop silence.
The silence stretched for
One breath.
Two breaths..
Three breaths...
Then the entire street erupted.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Aggh... Mother! Ugggghh!" Gu Bao could not take it anymore and coughin up another mouthful of blood, he collapsed unconscious in the arms of the guards, "Sav...e... M...e..."
The walk of shame officially began.
"Let us through!" One of the guard yelled, clearing the path in front of him.
SPLAT!
Out of nowhere, a rotting cabbage violently struck the unconsious Gu Bao directly on the side of his head, exploding into a foul-smelling green mush that dripped down his cheek.
"Take that, you sick animal!" the crowd yelled, and following that more garbage followed, as people mercilessly pelted the so-called true heir of the Gu Clan with rotten fruits, mud, and half-eaten meat bones, treating him exactly like a cursed, filthy beggar parading through the slums.
"Should we just leave him here?" One of the guards whispered through the barage of rotten garbage.
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND? WE ARE GU CLAN GUARDS!" Anothyer guard clearling the path hissed through his teeth.
"We guard against assassins, Young Master," The guard wreplied back looking helpless as a rotten radish struck Gu Bao on his cheek, "Not vegetables."
"Shut up and keep walking," The guard rebuked.
"Eyut Yup Yand vaulk!" The guard mimicked, Why are you getting angry on me?"
"I am not the one who fucked a goat!"
~~~~~
Gu Bao was no longer the brilliant 1st Stage Origin Realm genius anymore, and he definitely wasn’t the future Patriarch.
He was the Goat-Fucker, and that title would violently haunt him until the day he died.
By the time the guards finally dragged his trembling, garbage-covered body through the massive iron gates of the Gu Clan estate, Gu Bao had woken up his eyes were wide but vacant as his mind practically shut down from the sheer, suffocating trauma.
The once magnificent Second Young Master looked like something dragged out of a rubbish pit.
His hair was sticky.
His face was covered in rotten vegetable juice.
His lips trembled.
His Dao Heart had entered a mysterious state.
A state beyond anger.
Beyond sadness.
Beyond humiliation.
It was called...
’I want to fucking die.’
The Gu Clan guards stationed at the main gate immediately straightened when they saw the guards drag Gu Bao.
One guard narrowed his eyes, "Second Young Master?"
Gu Bao’s lower lip trembled. Finally... He was among his people, his home, his safe haven. But there was absolutely no safe haven waiting for him inside his own home.
The younger gate guard whispered, "Is that really him?"
The older guard elbowed him, "Shut up."
"But I heard..."
"Shut up!"
"...that there was a goat."
"Shut up!"
And with that, ignoring the younger guard, the older guard hurriedly opened the gate.
"Welcome home, Second Young Master," The guard hurriedly growled in front of Gu Bao.
The guards dragged Gu Bao slowly past the gate.
"Stop!" As soon as they were about to walk past the younger guard. He turned his head.
The younger guard immediately looked at the sky.
Gu Bao stared at him.
"You."
"Yes, Young Master?"
"If I hear you mention a goat..."
The young guard swallowed, "This subordinate has never seen that thing in his entire life."
"Good..." He then looiked at the guards hpolding him, "Take me to my courtyard."
He wanted hot water. He wanted new clothes. And most importantly, he wanted to crawl beneath his bed and remain there until every living creature in Poison Valley Town died of old age.
Unfortunately...
The guards escorting him suddenly turned left. They were not taking him to his courtyard to clean up, but instead, they dragged him directly toward the towering, imposing doors of the Gu Clan’s Grand Audience Hall.
Gu Bao frowned, "My courtyard is that way."
Neither answered.
Gu Bao struggled to break free, "I said my courtyard is that way."
One guard looked uncomfortable and spoke unapologetically, "Young Master... We have received strict instructions. The Patriarch has asked us to bring you directly to the Grand Audience Hall."
Gu Bao’s face collapsed, "No."
"Young Master..."
"I said... No!" Gu Bao struggled to break free as he wacthed the Grand Audience Hall grew closer.
"I’LL GIVE YOU FIVE HUNDRED SPIRIT STONES!" Gu Bao offered the guards, however the guards did not stop and looked helpless.
"Young Master..."
"ONE THOUSAND! You wouldn’t have even seen a hundred Spirit Stones together."
"Young Master!"
"You don’t have any spirit stones left."
~~~~~
Soon the heavy doors of the Audience Hall were pushed wide open, and the guards walked in dragging the limp body of Gu Bao whohad stopped struggling by now.
They walked to the centre of the audience hall and the moment they stopped, they let go of Gu Bao who collapsed right then and there.
The atmosphere inside the Audience Hall was terrifyingly cold, thick with an oppressive, suffocating silence that felt infinitely heavier than a mountain.
Meanwhile, sitting high upon the golden throne was Patriarch Gu Yangtian, and his face was blacker than the bottom of an old iron pot, with thick veins aggressively pulsing on his forehead as his 8th Stage Origin Realm aura wildly flared out of control.
Lining the sides of the hall were dozens of clan elders, and every single one of them was glaring down at Gu Bao with expressions of unadulterated disgust, pinching their noses to block out the foul stench of vomit, goat manure, and rotting garbage radiating off his body.
And standing casually near the back of the room, leaning lazily against a jade pillar with his arms crossed over his broad chest, was Gu Fan.
Gu Fan’s face was a perfect mask of calm indifference, but his eyes were practically dancing with satisfaction as he watched his pathetic brother grovel on the floor.
’Is this always so easy to make someone fall from grace to the bottom of the hellhole?’
CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!
"And here comes the true heir of the Gu Clan!" Gu Yangtian slowly stood up from his seat and walked down the stairs clapping his hands slowly, "And my favourite son!"
"I hope I did not interrupt your fun, son?!"
