The two old men meditating were quite peculiar, just sitting directly on the ground with their eyes wide open, larger than cow eyes.

Lin Tian found it odd, walked up to the two old men, and waved a hand in front of their eyes, "Hey, you two seniors, have you been hit with an acupoint?"

The two old men’s eyeballs didn’t move at all, let alone respond to Lin Tian.

Outside, cooking smoke rose up, and soon the fragrance of the food wafted throughout the kitchen, drifting out through the doors and windows, reaching the front yard, where the aroma tickled the two old men’s noses.

The two old men’s eyes lit up, and instinctively, they both twitched their noses.

"Haha, Old Man Zhuge, you moved, your nose twitched." Ling Xuesong laughed heartily, joyfully like a child receiving a favored toy.

"Alright, alright, no winner it is. What’s that kid Lin Tian cooking that makes it smell so great?" Old Man Ling waved his hand generously, and once again twitched his nose.

They were about to go in and investigate, but Lin Tian already came out with the dishes, the aroma in the yard even more enticing.

Lin Tian placed the food down, smiling, "Nothing special, just the ingredients you have in the backyard — fish, red mushrooms, and nameless roots."

"That can’t be right, this aroma is richer than anything we’ve made, do you have a secret?" Old Man Zhuge asked, both puzzled and curious.

"Uh, if there’s a secret, it’s not much, during cooking I did a bit of processing, used force to crush the red mushrooms, then refined their essence, and added it to the fish soup, bringing about the aroma." Lin Tian said nonchalantly, scratching his brow.

The two old men listened, eyes widened, Old Man Ling slapped his thigh hard, loudly exclaimed, "Gosh, young man, you even used alchemical skills, your culinary level is incredible!"

Lin Tian dismissed it, "Just simple refining, seniors, give it a try, see how it tastes."

Before he finished speaking, Old Man Ling already picked up a spoon, serving himself soup, gulping it down with gusto, smacking his lips loudly and savoring with relish.
