Chapter 843: Chapter 843: Lova

The older woman had been so impressed by Alana’s kindness that she even went as far as asking one of her sons to visit the store and help with the business.

Several of her sons had never married.

Her youngest son, Lova, was one of them.

Lova had long been wary of people approaching his family members with ulterior motives.

Because of this, he had used his abilities to erase almost every piece of information about his family from the internet, making sure that no one with malicious intentions could investigate them.

’How could someone still manage to approach my mother after all that?’

When Lova heard what had happened, he became furious.

He immediately decided that whoever this woman was, he would expose her intentions, crush her plans, and make sure she regretted approaching his mother.

So he waited for her to return. Meanwhile, Alana reported the entire process to Ivy.

After the weekly report was completed, everyone eventually came to the same conclusion.

They needed to start supplying food to the new storefronts.

Ivy decided to personally visit Alana’s store and inspect the place.

Bella’s storefront passed the inspection without any problems.

However, when it was time to check Alana’s storefront, Alana suddenly rushed inside and headed straight toward the restroom.

Ivy frowned slightly.

Recently, Alana had been vomiting frequently and often complained about dizziness. She had also been struggling to control her bladder, which had become increasingly inconvenient.

Ivy had already recommended that Alana see a doctor, but Alana had simply waved her hand dismissively.

"It is not a big deal. I am fine."

Ivy still felt that something was wrong, but she did not force her.

Instead, she sat down at the reception desk and began examining the entire storefront.

The interior was spacious, clean, and newly renovated. Just then, the door opened.

Ivy frowned and looked toward the entrance.

She was about to explain that the restaurant had not officially opened yet when a very handsome man walked inside.

He had short silver hair, several piercings in his ears, and a necklace hanging loosely around his neck.

His classic black suit contrasted sharply with his pale complexion and silver hair, giving him an unmistakable bad-boy appearance.

The moment he saw Ivy sitting behind the reception desk, he chuckled.

’So this is the woman my mother was talking about.’

His eyes narrowed slightly. ’Now is the perfect time to test her.’

He walked toward Ivy with an easy, confident stride.

Ivy looked at him calmly.

"Sorry, but the business is not open yet. Please come back another time."

Lova chuckled. "I am not here for business. I am here to warn you to stay away from my mother."

Ivy blinked in confusion. ’His mother?’

She stared at him for several seconds.

She did not even know who this man was, let alone who his mother might be.

’What kind of nonsense is he talking about?’

Ivy frowned. "Are you all right?"

The moment she said those words, Lova laughed.

"What? Are you pretending to care about me now? Don’t tell me you have taken a liking to me and want to marry me."

Ivy’s expression became increasingly strange.

Lova continued without giving her a chance to respond.

"Let me make this clear. I already have a girlfriend."

Ivy was completely speechless. ’Is this man delusional?’

She decided that continuing the conversation would only waste her time.

"Sir, please leave. I think you are obstructing my business, and I am not interested in arguing with you."

Lova stared at her.

’This woman is truly pretentious.’

He could not believe that she was able to maintain such a calm expression.

’Perhaps she is trying to hide her infatuation with me. Or maybe she has already set her sights on one of my other brothers.’

He snorted. "Keep pretending like this. Let us see how long you can keep up this act."

With that, he turned around and walked toward the entrance.

As he left, Lova could not help sneering inwardly.

’A restaurant in this area? Is she stupid?’

Among the nobles, almost everyone preferred food prepared by their own private chefs. Even nutrient liquids came in countless specialized flavors that only a handful of highly skilled chefs knew how to create.

’Why would anyone visit a restaurant owned by someone of unknown origin?’

He was already waiting for the restaurant to fail.

’Eventually, she will lose everything, cry, and finally admit that she approached my mother because she wanted something from our family.’

Meanwhile, Alana finally came out of the restroom.

She looked slightly pale but quickly composed herself.

"What happened? I thought I heard someone talking. Did a customer arrive?"

Ivy waved her hand dismissively.

"Nothing happened. It was just a stupid person. Let us ignore him."

She paused for a moment before looking toward the storage area.

"I am going to store the vegetables here. Let us check the ice cellar first."

Alana nodded. "All right."

She led Ivy toward the ice cellar.

Once they entered, a wave of cool air immediately brushed against their skin. The temperature was low enough that a faint chill settled over Ivy’s arms.

Ivy began placing the vegetables inside the storage area, carefully arranging them so that everything would remain fresh.

Alana looked at Ivy and nodded. "From here onward, I will take care of everything."

This was how they had divided their responsibilities.

Bella would be responsible for the restaurant in her town, while Alana would take care of the restaurant in this town. None of them wanted to manage everything by themselves, especially because they weren’t worried that someone might eventually copy their recipes.

After all, even if someone managed to imitate the recipes, what would they do about the ingredients?

The most important part of their food was the ingredients themselves.

That was why none of them planned to handle everything personally. Instead, they intended to hire more workers as the restaurants expanded, allowing them to focus on the things that truly mattered.

After Ivy left the restaurant, Alana remained behind.

The next day, when Lova arrived, he immediately noticed that Ivy was nowhere to be seen.

A smug expression appeared on his face. ’She must have been frightened and run away.’

He walked toward the reception desk, only for Alana to quickly stand up.

"Sorry, sorry, but we are not open yet. We will have a proper opening soon, and..."

Lova interrupted her midway. "Just pack your things and leave this place."

Alana frowned in confusion. Lova continued in a calm voice.

"I am allowing you to stay here only because my grandmother was helped by someone from this restaurant."

Hearing those words, Alana frowned. "Your grandmother?"

Lova nodded. "Don’t you know the pink-haired woman? She helped my grandmother."

Alana’s expression changed slightly.

"You mean Miss Ivy? She is the one who founded this entire restaurant."

Lova nodded again.

"I am someone who respects my grandmother’s decision and does not question it. However, I still think you should not continue staying here."

A frown appeared on Alana’s face. She stared at him for several seconds before she heard him say,

"You want me to feel attracted to your boss and make things easier for you, right? That is why you are saying all these things."

Alana was genuinely stunned by his strange thought process.

She stared at him with a completely straight face. "Can I ask how much pocket money you receive every day or every month?"

Lova sneered.

"What? Are you asking on behalf of your young master now? It seems your young miss truly cannot wait anymore."

He stared at her intensely before proudly declaring,

"My pocket money is 100 million credits per month. That amount is more than enough to feed ten average families for the rest of their lives."

Alana gave him a faint smile.

"Then let me explain something to you. Our entire foundation can already generate close to one billion credits at this moment, even though we have barely started expanding. This is only our second branch, and we will most likely continue opening more branches in the future."

She calmly folded her arms.

"Our revenue may currently be around one billion credits, but once the branches expand, it could easily rise to ten billion and eventually even reach one trillion credits. When that happens, do you really think your mere 100 million credits will matter to us?"

Lova snorted.

"It is easy to say this kind of nonsense. Even I know that you do not mean any of it. Your restaurant owner simply wants my attention."
