Chapter 819: Chapter 819: Dead

He casually waved his hand. The next second, Nanami suddenly grabbed his head.

His face twisted in agony as though something had violently pierced through his mind. His knees buckled beneath him, and he collapsed onto the floor.

When Ivy, Silas, and Jade saw this, none of them immediately reacted.

Bella, however, could not hold herself back. "You bastards!"

She rushed toward them and attempted to attack. Alex merely waved his hand.

An invisible force struck Bella and sent her flying across the room. Her body slammed violently against the wall before she fell heavily to the floor.

Ivy’s expression changed immediately. "Bella!"

She quickly rushed toward her. Silas, Alana, and Jade followed as well, immediately creating a protective barrier around Bella and Ivy.

Alex chuckled. "There is no need to be so wary. Even if you look at us with such hostility, you will not be able to escape from our grasp."

His gaze shifted toward Nanami. "So, it is time for you to die."

He blinked. The next second, Nanami’s body jerked violently.

He fell onto the floor and coughed up a mouthful of blood. His eyes slowly lost their focus, and after one final breath, they closed completely.

Nanami was dead. The entire sequence had happened so quickly that even the seven superior beings who had betrayed him remained expressionless.

Ivy clenched her fists tightly.

For a moment, she wondered whether Nanami could somehow be faking everything.

’Could this be another part of his plan?’

She immediately contacted her Temporal Storage and asked it to check.

The response came almost instantly. "Nanami is dead."

Ivy felt as though something had shattered inside her.

Even though she had never completely trusted Nanami, the suddenness of his death still shook her to the core.

Alex calmly turned toward Silas.

"I will not make things difficult for you. All of you will willingly wear these handcuffs. If you dare resist, I will have no choice but to kill you one by one until you become obedient."

Silas’s expression became grim. He had a strange feeling that these people were far more powerful than they had initially appeared.

Jade seemed to have reached the same conclusion. Suddenly, Jade coughed twice. The sound immediately attracted everyone’s attention.

He calmly looked toward Alex.

"I only want to make sure of one thing. As long as we remain obedient and do not resist, you will not attack us, correct? I have had a weak constitution since birth, so I cannot afford to fight."

Alex laughed.

"You seem far more cowardly than Nanami described, but yes, we will not harm you as long as all of you listen to us."

Hearing that, all five of them surrendered and allowed themselves to be restrained. However, Jade’s coughing twice had not been meaningless.

It was one of the secret signals he had taught them.

If Jade ever learned something about the future that he was absolutely certain about and wanted everyone to stop whatever they were doing immediately, he would cough twice.

That was exactly what he had done. Once everyone was handcuffed, Yilia calmly walked toward Ivy. "Since you are pregnant, we will not handcuff you."

Ivy’s eyes flickered. For a brief moment, a faint sense of relief appeared within them.

So she had a chance to turn things around.

However, it disappeared almost immediately when Yang spoke.

"Regardless, I can read your mind, so I can easily know what you are thinking. Therefore, if you are considering attacking us or launching a sneak attack, you should forget about it. You will not be able to do anything."

The moment she said those words, Ivy clenched her fists. She did not respond.

The remaining five days of the journey toward the superior beings’ planet were nothing short of hell.

They were not allowed to use any of the items on their bodies.

Even Ivy could not access her Temporal Storage.

The superior beings had somehow discovered a way to sever the connection between her and the Temporal Storage, although Ivy knew they had done so unintentionally rather than deliberately.

’If they knew about the Temporal Storage, they would have treated me much more brutally.’

After all, if they had known that she possessed such an extraordinary ability, they would never have been satisfied with merely imprisoning her. They would have done everything possible to seize it.

The only reason they were still being somewhat careful with her was because of the children she was carrying.

But now that Alex and the others had decided to imprison them, Ivy could not help wondering about her children’s future.

’What will happen to my children once they are born?’

As they finally approached Planet Astra, all five of them were stunned.

Planet Astra was completely different from Earth.

From a distance, the entire planet appeared to be surrounded by an enormous layer of red mist. The crimson haze seemed to wrap around the planet like a veil, making it look both beautiful and ominous.

Even from inside the spaceship, Ivy could feel the heat radiating from it. ’It is going to be extremely hot.’

As the spaceship entered the outer perimeter of Planet Astra, it was suddenly stopped by an invisible force.

The vessel shuddered to a halt. No matter how much the systems attempted to move forward, it could not pass through the barrier.

Only after Alex displayed his identification card and spoke into the communication system in his own voice did the invisible barrier finally release them.

The spaceship slowly continued forward. Seeing this, Ivy’s expression became thoughtful.

’Without Nanami, we might never have been able to enter Planet Astra.’

What surprised her even more was the spaceship’s speed.

It had traveled across an unimaginable distance in only a few days, something that would have been completely impossible with Earth’s technology.

It was incredibly fast, far faster than any ordinary rocket humanity possessed.

If Ivy had to compare the two, Earth’s fastest spacecraft would have been at least three hundred and forty thousand times slower than this spaceship, which had carried them across an entire star system in only a matter of days.

Once they entered Planet Astra, Ivy finally had the opportunity to see what the planet truly looked like.

She was mesmerized.

If one ignored the superior beings occupying the planet, it would have been almost impossible not to sigh in awe at the breathtaking scenery.

The vegetation was unlike anything Ivy had ever seen on Earth. Most of the plants were red with subtle pink undertones, making the entire landscape look as though someone had painted the world using nothing but shades of crimson and rose.

Even the sunlight seemed slightly different, reflecting off the unusual vegetation and giving everything a faint reddish glow.

At the same time, Planet Astra was incredibly technologically advanced.

Yet, despite all the sophisticated technology, the planet had preserved a remarkable amount of its natural environment. It was not simply a world covered in towering buildings and artificial structures.

When the spaceship finally landed, Ivy looked outside and found herself surrounded by a dense forest filled with deep green trees, pinkish bushes, and winding paths that disappeared between the vegetation.

The contrast between the advanced technology and untouched nature was strangely beautiful.

Ivy could not help staring through the window for several moments.

However, Alex quickly brought her back to reality. He looked at all five of them with a cold expression.

"We are leaving this place now, so do not even think about trying to escape. If any of you misbehave, do not blame me for making all of you suffer."

Hearing those words, none of them dared to oppose him. Soon, Alex led all five of them toward the prison.

As they traveled, Ivy noticed that their primary mode of transportation was hover cars.

Once they finally left the forest, they arrived at a highway-like area where numerous hover cars were constantly moving through the air. Some glided only a few meters above the ground, while others floated much higher.

Ivy watched everything with curiosity despite her circumstances.

’So this is how transportation works on Planet Astra.’

A hover car was already waiting for their arrival.

The moment it detected them approaching, it smoothly moved forward and stopped directly in front of the group.

The doors opened, and one by one, they were loaded inside.

The interior was far more spacious than Ivy had expected. The seats were smooth and comfortable, while faint strips of light ran along the walls and ceiling.

Once everyone was inside, Alex looked toward them and finally spoke.

"Now, let us discuss where all of you will be staying."
