Yuan’s Ascension

Chapter 1357: Confronting The Primordium, Half-Real Spacetime (3)

Chapter 1357: Confronting The Primordium, Half-Real Spacetime (3)

Boom! Boom! Terrifying laws of divine order materialized in sequence, their immense power threatening to obliterate Zhuo Haiyue completely.

She had failed the test.

And she wasn’t alone.

Hum~ Hum~ Two more alarming auras erupted across spacetime. In other galactic clusters, Overlords Fu Ben and Lan Yan simultaneously encountered catastrophic tribulations. They too had failed.

The newly ascended Perennial powerhouses trembled at this sight. The path to eternity was clearly not easily traversed. These challengers were extraordinary beings. Yet even Overlord Fu Ben, who had created three eternal ultimate techniques, had fallen short.

“Junior Brother Fu Ben.” Overlord Qian Yang, already undergoing the Primordium’s baptism himself, sensed the disturbance with disbelief. How could his junior brother, the strongest among them, possibly fail? Three eternal ultimate techniques, yet still insufficient?

Rumble~ Devastating Primordial fluctuations swept across vast spacetime, intent on erasing all three Overlords completely. This was an ironclad law: when stepping into eternity, success meant eternal life, failure meant certain death.

Just as everyone resigned themselves to the Overlords’ imminent destruction, a stern command echoed through the entire universe as a powerful will swept through all.

“Begone!”

Boom! The white-robed figure standing in the void finally moved. The assembled Overlords and Perennials witnessed the legendary might of a titan of the cosmic sea firsthand.

Using his finger as a sword, Wu Yuan moved at a speed that transcended spacetime constraints, as if piercing through the universe itself. He directly confronted the Primordial divine laws hovering above the three Overlords. One by one, the divine laws shattered before his single finger strike.

With this move, Dao Zenithel Ming Jian rescued the three Overlords from certain destruction.

Hum~ A terrifying fluctuation erupted, its frightening power sweeping across the entire universe and enveloping the Primordium itself.

At that moment, all Dao Zenithels and True Saints who had left their mark in the River of Universes sensed the disturbance. These eternal powerhouses perceived something unprecedented—the essence of Primordial Rules seemed to be enraged.

Whoosh! Terrifying divine laws cut directly through spacetime, striking toward Wu Yuan’s qi refiner self. This power, originating from the Primordial Rules themselves, contained inconceivable might meant to suppress the challenger, enough to make any Dao Zenithel pale.

Anger? Wu Yuan’s qi refiner self laughed. Primordium, do you have consciousness too?

With a casual flip of his palm, Wu Yuan unleashed his killing move. Sword lights surged like a tide, effortlessly blocking the divine laws’ attacks. He contained the shockwaves completely, preventing them from impacting the surrounding world. He even transported himself to another spacetime to avoid harming his newly transcended friends and family.

Their exchange appeared deceptively simple, like a clash between mortals, yet was actually a profound confrontation of Dao and laws. Wu Yuan’s self-created Dao was now like a blade of unending sharpness. After eons of cultivation, even his physical attacks could rival a Full Dao Zenithel.

As this wave of attacks dissipated, surging fluctuations swept from the deepest parts of the universe, emanating from the River of Universes itself.

Mobilizing the power of the entire River of Universes so quickly? Are you serious? Wu Yuan smiled faintly. How boring!

With a casual wave, an invisible force stretched across endless spacetime, simultaneously reaching three distant universes. It enveloped the gravely wounded Overlords, causing their battered bodies to vanish from the boundless void. All traces of their karma disappeared as well, as if they had been utterly obliterated.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Having lost their targets, the Primordial Rules seemed to believe Wu Yuan had annihilated the three, and its fury diminished.

Boom!! Another overwhelming assault rained down, but Wu Yuan blocked it effortlessly. Within the Ling Jiang Universe, he could unleash his full power. Wave after wave of attacks came, but ultimately, Wu Yuan repelled them all.

This spectacle stunned not only the newly ascended Perennials but also left the secretly observing Dao Zenithels utterly dumbfounded. Defying the Primordium and interfering with another’s transcension should have gravely injured or killed even a Full Dao Zenithel. Yet Dao Zenithel Ming Jian had withstood it with ease. Was this all the punishment the Primordium could muster? Or had Ming Jian’s power reached such astonishing heights?

It seems there are quite a few secretly observing me. Wu Yuan instantly sensed numerous prying consciousnesses—the Heavenly Imperator, Imperial Majesty Dong Huo, Dao Zenithel Wan Yu, and Eldritch Progenitor Di Jiang among them.

The River of Universes spacetime, being the origin of all things, naturally drew immense attention. Though brief, the clash between Wu Yuan and the Primordial Rules had caused quite a commotion.

They’re probably all still wondering why the Primordial Rules aren’t targeting me much. Wu Yuan smiled.

The reason was simple: he had severed his karma and destiny, and invoked the essence of the Great Dao of Spacetime. Though powerful enough to surpass a Dao Zenithel anywhere in the cosmic sea, the Primordial Rules were still rules with operational loopholes—loopholes Wu Yuan could now exploit.

“All of you, return to the Eternal Realm for now,” Wu Yuan transmitted.

Bei You and the other Perennials nodded, transforming into streaks of light as they flew toward the Eternal Realm.

In a vast, mysterious spacetime, three figures appeared out of thin air: Overlord Lan Yan, Overlord Haiyue, and Overlord Fu Ben.

“Where are we?”

“I can’t sense the Primordium anymore.”

“Did we fail to achieve eternity?”

The three looked at each other in confusion. Suddenly, endless light coalesced, forming a white-robed figure.

“Master,” Overlord Fu Ben bowed respectfully.

“You all failed to step into eternity,” Wu Yuan sighed softly. “The path to eternity is indeed arduous for countless living beings.”

The three felt their hearts sink.

“When stepping into eternity, failure means death. In the Nine Megaverses Spacetime, you have all perished,” Wu Yuan explained. “I transferred you here. Now, to be precise, you are the animi remaining after your bodies were destroyed.”

“Perished? Animi?” The three Overlords, familiar with matters of samsara, immediately grasped some understanding.

“Then where is this?” Zhuo Haiyue asked.

“This is a spacetime realm I’ve created, separate from the Primordium and unbound by the Primordial Rules,” Wu Yuan replied.

The three were stunned, finally comprehending the level of cultivation Dao Zenithel Ming Jian had attained. His methods clearly transcended the legendary Primordial Rules.

“This realm exists between reality and illusion, so it cannot manifest in the nine megaverses,” Wu Yuan continued. “But all laws and rules here are real and complete. You can continue to roam and cultivate in this spacetime. One day, when I can fully manifest this spacetime realm in reality, you’ll be able to return.”

This place represented the culmination of Wu Yuan’s qi refiner self’s eons of cultivation. He had derived the combination of reality and illusion, merging the Dream Megaverse and the Samsara Platform to create this special spacetime, somewhat similar to the Azure Saint Tomb.

However, while the spacetime within the Azure Saint Tomb was independent of the Primordial Rules, it was still completely real. Beings born there, like Dao Zenithel Tian Chan, could live and exist freely within the Nine Megaverses. In contrast, though the inhabitants of the spacetime Wu Yuan had created possessed some traits of reality, they were unable to leave the spacetime. If any of them tried to enter the Nine Megaverses, they would be destroyed by the Primordial Rules.

Nevertheless, this spacetime was vast enough for cultivation. Due to the drastically different flow of time between the two spacetimes, countless beings had been born here, with over ten thousand eternal powerhouses now residing within.

“Thank you, Master.”

“Thank you, Dao Zenithel.” The three Overlords spoke in turn.

“No need,” Wu Yuan said, waving his hand. “Continue your cultivation in peace. Take your time to learn about this spacetime realm.”

An intangible ripple directly entered the minds of the three Overlords.

In the heart of the Realm of Destruction.

Since Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu’s death in the battle years ago, all major powers across the cosmic sea had come to acknowledge one truth: “The Heavenly Imperator stands invincible within the Realm of Destruction.”

Since then, few Dao Zenithels dared venture into the Realm of Destruction. It had essentially become the exclusive domain of the Immortal Court.

Streaks of black light pulsed through the void, birthing and dying in rapid succession. These energy ribbons, charged with raw destructive force, encircled and enveloped the endless void. At the center of this maelstrom hung a massive black divine sword spanning heaven and earth, seemingly capable of piercing through all existence. Blood-red light flickered across its surface.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Two projected figures materialized.

“Heavenly Imperator,” they intoned in unison, bowing respectfully to the golden-robed figure beneath the divine sword.

Imperial Majesty Nan Guang and Imperial Majesty Dong Huo now wielded Xuanhuang Dao Treasures, elevating their powers significantly. Yet throughout this samsara cycle, each encounter they had with the Heavenly Imperator revealed his ever-growing strength. His aura had become nearly indistinguishable from the Original Sword itself. The destructive nature he unconsciously radiated would make any Dao Zenithel pale.

“You should be aware of the events in the River of Universes spacetime,” the Heavenly Imperator stated, his voice measured and calm. “Dao Zenithel Ming Jian’s power has grown tremendously. His physical attacks alone may rival your current capabilities.”

The Imperial Majesties listened intently. They had indeed been shaken by Ming Jian’s might. His annihilation of the Lord of the Abyss had sent shockwaves through the cosmic sea, and now he had easily resisted the suppression of the Primordial Rules. Whatever methods he employed, the results spoke volumes.

“Hou Tu’s consciousness has awakened,” the Heavenly Imperator continued with a faint smile. “We can delay no longer.”

“Hou Tu has awakened? Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu?” The Imperial Majesties stood stunned. With the cooperation between the Eldritch Court and Blood Dream Alliance already presenting a significant challenge, Hou Tu’s return would tip the scales dangerously.

“It’s merely her consciousness stirring,” the Heavenly Imperator clarified calmly. “Her true self’s return remains distant. However, the time for waiting has passed.”

His tone turned serious. “Long ago, I told you that when the right opportunity presented itself, I would launch the final battle. Now, I can tell you—that time has come.

“Summon all Dao Zenithels back to the Immortal Court Universe,” he commanded.

The Imperial Majesties exchanged glances of surprise. “Shouldn’t we gather in the cosmic sea before attacking one of the Eternal Realms?” Imperial Majesty Dong Huo ventured.

“No. This final battle will unfold within the River of Universes spacetime,” the Heavenly Imperator replied. “When the calamity of samsara arrives, the Original Sword will reach its peak power. That is when we strike.”

His voice hardened. “Destruction! In this battle, we shall utterly annihilate the Eldritch Court Universe and the Eternal Realms of Wu Yuan and Ming Jian.”

The Imperial Majesties recoiled at these words. Total annihilation? Destroying the Eldritch Court Universe directly?

“Go now,” the Heavenly Imperator rose, his voice resonating with authority. “I shall first visit the Wan Yu Eternal Realm. This time, that old loach must join our cause.”

“The Wan Yu Eternal Realm?” Imperial Majesty Nan Guang’s eyes widened. “Heavenly Imperator, you’ve located his Eternal Realm?”

The Heavenly Imperator merely smiled, offering no explanation. In an instant, he vanished without a sound, taking the massive black divine sword with him. The tendrils of destructive dark light that had enveloped the weapon dissipated completely, leaving only silence in their wake.
