Chapter 1344: Confrontation (2)
Chapter 1344: Confrontation (2)
“Saint Yuan defeated the Thunder Dragon King in the Sea of Thunder.”
“The Thunder Dragon King retreated voluntarily.” The two Dao Zenithels exchanged astonished glances, utterly shocked by what they’d witnessed.
Both of them wouldn’t dare provoke the Thunder Dragon King. If confronted, they would frantically flee the Sea of Thunder, shake off any pursuit, and only then risk reentry.
Without hesitation, the two Dao Zenithels spread the news. “Saint Yuan has been spotted in the Sea of Thunder. He just defeated…” The Immortal Court Dao Zenithel promptly reported to the Heavenly Imperator and transmitted the information to other Immortal Court Dao Zenithels.
“Saint Yuan!”
“Saint Yuan rampaged through the Sea of Thunder and defeated the Thunder Dragon King. His attacks likely surpass even Great Emperor Yan Tuo’s.” The Dao Zenithel from the Night Ripper Megaverse relayed this information to his faction’s Dao Zenithels and directly transmitted it to several Dao Zenithel allies from other factions.
The circle of Dao Zenithels was neither too vast nor too small. Many from different factions had agreements to exchange non-sensitive intelligence that violated no secrets or oaths. Thus, as time passed, news of Wu Yuan’s growing strength spread throughout the realms.
Simultaneously, two other pieces of information began circulating:
“Dao Zenithel Biao Huo and Dao Zenithel Yin Yue appear to have fallen. Their tokens have become masterless.”
“Those two had been exploring the Realm of Destruction! How could they have suddenly fallen?”
“Could Saint Yuan have killed them?” Various major factions gradually learned of their demise, deducing and speculating on the truth behind their deaths.
For now, the Immortal Court had not made this news public.
…
Boom! Golden light swept across, annihilating all lightning in its path. Two figures stood tall atop the golden radiance.
“Heavenly Imperator, Saint Yuan has decisively defeated the Thunder Dragon King. The Thunder Dragon King retreated immediately,” Imperial Majesty Nan Guang reported with surprise, having just received the news.
“Not surprising.” The Heavenly Imperator seemed unconcerned, smiling faintly. “Hou Tu and Yan Tuo both did similar things in the past. It’s natural for Saint Yuan to know the Thunder Spirit’s personality. I never expected it to hinder him for long.
“Within the Realm of Destruction, he can’t escape my detection. Unless his flight speed undergoes a fundamental change, we should intercept him within ten years,” the Heavenly Imperator stated calmly.
“Ten years?” Imperial Majesty Nan Guang nodded. They had been pursuing their target for several hundred years already.
In a few more decades, they would likely emerge from the Realm of Destruction.
“Heavenly Imperator, can we kill him?” Imperial Majesty Nan Guang couldn’t suppress the question that had long lingered in his heart.
Seeing the Heavenly Imperator’s confidence, he had finally plucked up the courage to ask.
“Kill? If we can’t kill him, should we simply let him go?” A mysterious smile appeared on the Heavenly Imperator’s face. “I never intended to kill him.
“Rather, I’m curious about him,” the Heavenly Imperator said evenly.
“Curious?” Imperial Majesty Nan Guang was stunned.
…
In the Eldritch Court Voidrealm, within the Eldritch Progenitor Hall, was a spacetime belonging to Wu Yuan. As a leader of the Eldritch Court, Wu Yuan possessed an independent spacetime equivalent to that of Eldritch Progenitor Di Jiang.
Whoosh! Wu Yuan’s mana body materialized on the throne, looking at the two unexpected arrivals with surprise.
Wu Yuan descended from the throne.
“Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu, Eldritch Progenitor Di Jiang, to what do I owe this visit?” Though his strength now approached theirs, Wu Yuan still held deep respect and gratitude for the two Eldritch Progenitors.
The great Eldritch Progenitors exchanged glances.
“I’ll go,” Eldritch Progenitor Di Jiang said in a low voice, fixing Wu Yuan with a steady gaze. “Saint Yuan, are you in the Realm of Destruction? Did you just defeat the Thunder Dragon King?”
“Yes, I did,” Wu Yuan nodded.
There was no point concealing this; the news had likely spread already.
“Were Dao Zenithel Biao Huo and Dao Zenithel Yin Yue killed by you?” Eldritch Progenitor Di Jiang asked directly.
“They were killed by my mana body when I was battling Imperial Majesty Nan Guang in the Lightflare Domain,” Wu Yuan answered candidly.
The two Eldritch Progenitors knew about his two true selves. Besides, killing two Peak Dao Zenithels wasn’t something worth hiding.
Killed by his mana body?
“Wu Yuan, tell us the details,” Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu smiled. “We’re merely curious.”
“Certainly,” Wu Yuan nodded and recounted everything he had experienced since leaving the Ancestral Pagoda Spacetime.
“Tian Chan became a Dao Zenithel? He’s following you?”
“You entered the Realm of Destruction and sensed something unusual about a Lightflare star?”
“Xuanhuang Dao Treasure?” The two Eldritch Progenitors remained fairly composed until Wu Yuan mentioned obtaining another Xuanhuang Dao Treasure. Then they were truly shocked.
Heavens! Another Xuanhuang Dao Treasure? And an offensive Xuanhuang Dao Treasure perfectly suited to Wu Yuan?
“This…!” Eldritch Progenitor Di Jiang was dazed momentarily before his expression brightened with delight. “Excellent!! Saint Yuan, impressive, truly impressive… A Xuanhuang Dao Treasure!!
“With this, our Eldritch Court now possesses five Xuanhuang Dao Treasures.
“Most crucially, Saint Yuan, you alone wield three Xuanhuang Dao Treasures. Your body refiner self is now unrivaled in both offense and defense.” Eldritch Progenitor Di Jiang’s eyes gleamed with expectation. “In the future, if your ultimate technique advances further, touching upon the Primordial profundities, you could match the Heavenly Imperator.”
Evidently, Eldritch Progenitor Di Jiang possessed considerable knowledge about the Heavenly Imperator’s capabilities.
“Primordial profundities?” Wu Yuan started momentarily, then gently shook his head. “I’m afraid we won’t need to wait for the future. The Heavenly Imperator is about to arrive.
“I sense him closing in,” Wu Yuan said quietly. Though his mana body couldn’t traverse spacetime at its usual speed within the Realm of Destruction, its perceptive abilities remained intact.
Wu Yuan’s mana body had already detected a great force of destruction stirring spacetime, rapidly approaching. Besides the Heavenly Imperator, Wu Yuan couldn’t imagine anyone else in the entire cosmic sea emanating such a terrifying presence.
“The Heavenly Imperator?” Eldritch Progenitor Di Jiang showed mild surprise.
“This falls within my expectations. I was about to ask why you hadn’t encountered him yet,” Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu remained composed. “It seems that you’ve been fleeing rather efficiently.”
“How much longer until you exit the Realm of Destruction?” Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu asked directly. “Within that realm, no one is his match.”
“About sixty years,” Wu Yuan replied.
“Good.” Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu nodded. “I’ll head to the Realm of Destruction immediately, though it will take several hundred years. With your current strength, you should be able to hold on until then, correct?
“Once you emerge from the Realm of Destruction, the Heavenly Imperator can no longer unleash such overwhelming power.” Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu understood the Heavenly Imperator well.
“There’s no need. Eldritch Progenitor, I’ll come for you,” Wu Yuan smiled slightly. “In three days, we can reach the Realm of Destruction.”
Wu Yuan’s qi refiner self had remained in his Eternal Realm all along.
…
Three days later.
Outside the Realm of Destruction, spacetime distorted slightly, and two white-robed figures appeared.
“Crossing half the cosmic sea in three days?” Even Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu seemed quite shocked.
She couldn’t help but look at Wu Yuan, though without any hint of reproach.
Concealing one’s special abilities was an instinct of every intelligent being, so she found nothing strange about it.
“Eldritch Progenitor, let’s enter together,” Wu Yuan’s qi refiner self suggested.
“Your qi refiner self should wait here,” Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu instructed. “I can enter alone.”
Wu Yuan looked surprised.
“Don’t worry. In the Realm of Destruction, though I’m no match for the Heavenly Imperator, I can certainly protect myself,” Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu smiled faintly. “In fact, your body refiner self is nearly my equal in strength, so you should also manage to make it out alive.
“However, we must still remain vigilant.
“Unless he breaks through to the Grand Supreme stage, the Heavenly Imperator cannot overcome our combined strength,” Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu assured him.
Wu Yuan nodded slightly.
Whoosh! Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu summoned the Samsara Platform with a wave of her hand. The blood-colored lotus platform bloomed with light, six wheels of light spreading outward.
She plunged directly into the Realm of Destruction.
The entire cosmic sea remained unaware that an unprecedented battle was about to erupt within the Realm of Destruction.
…
Several years later, within the Realm of Destruction.
On the outskirts of the Sea of Thunder, extremely close to the region of the black fog.
Swoosh! Blade rays crisscrossed as Wu Yuan continued advancing at high speed.
Suddenly, he halted.
Is he here? Wu Yuan sensed the threat that had been pursuing him for hundreds of years. It had finally revealed itself.
Boom! Moments later, a dazzling golden light swept away all lightning. In an instant, the surrounding magnificent landscape transformed into a world bathed in golden radiance.
This golden light contained endless destructive energy, domineering and forceful.
Hum~ Spacetime solidified as an invisible pressure struck Wu Yuan.
“Hmph! Heavenly Imperator, since you’ve come all this way, there’s no need for such theatrical displays,” Wu Yuan scoffed coldly.
Crack! With Wu Yuan at its epicenter, the surrounding spacetime quaked, layers of golden light disintegrating into nothingness.
“Saint Yuan, your reputation is indeed well-deserved,” a detached voice resonated as a figure clad in golden robes slowly materialized.
The two locked gazes from afar, each sensing the overwhelming willpower emanating from the other.
