Chapter 1259: Gathering Of True Saints (1)
Chapter 1259: Gathering Of True Saints (1)
According to the records left by the Dao Zenithels and intelligence gathered by True Saints who ventured into previous Chaos Voids when they opened… a newly born Chaos Void contains a sea of treasures—incomplete Xiantian artifacts, Xiantian Instruments, even fragments of Chaos Treasures. True Saint Yue Luo mused, his thoughts racing.
This knowledge was well-established. Throughout the Nine Chaos Voids, fully intact artifacts almost never emerged. When discovered, artifacts were invariably incomplete, requiring extraordinary skill and resources to repair.
But there will be massive veins of Chaos Orichalcum, and countless other treasures beyond imagination. His eyes blazed with intense fervor as he surveyed the rift before him. Each time a Chaos Void opens, it’s more than just an opportunity; it’s a cosmic event.
Such events drove countless True Saints across the endless cosmic sea into a competitive frenzy.
Yue Luo’s fingers tightened into fists. If I can secure just a fraction of what lies within, the benefits would be immeasurable.
He scanned the void again, confidence surging through him. I should be the first to arrive here. This is my fateful opportunity.
According to the records, this spacetime rift will grow exponentially, until it spans tens of thousands of light-years, making it impossible to prevent other powers from detecting its presence and coming over to investigate.
Tens of thousands of light-years! The very thought made him shudder. A disturbance of that magnitude would be impossible to conceal. By then, half the eternal powerhouses throughout the entire Ninth Chaos Void would sense it.
Once word spread, True Saints would descend in droves. The combined might of numerous great powers would overwhelm the Abyss Alliance easily. This discovery was destined to become public knowledge.
However, it would take several hundred years before the entrance expanded from its current diameter of several light-years to tens of thousands.
I can’t afford to delay. True Saint Yue Luo’s resolve hardened. Every moment I hesitate increases the chance I’ll miss the most accessible treasures.
My strength cannot compare to the top tier of True Saints across the cosmic sea. In the end, I cannot hope to compete with them directly.
The Chaos Nucleus, Chaos Treasures… those are beyond my reach. But securing one vein of Chaos Orichalcum and perhaps a dozen incomplete Xiantian Instruments should be achievable.
Let’s go.
Whoosh! True Saint Yue Luo plunged directly into the spacetime rift, which swirled with dense Xuanhuang qi. At his level of power, resisting the impacts of spacetime was relatively effortless. Simultaneously, he relayed news of his discovery to the highest levels of the Abyss Alliance through the voidrealm.
His strategy was clear: what treasures he personally seized would remain his. By sharing this information, however, any True Saints of the Abyss Alliance who gained an early advantage would owe him a karmic debt.
…
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! True Saint Yue Luo advanced rapidly through the rift. In less than ten years, he had reached an area deep inside the spacetime passage.
Almost there. True Saint Yue Luo’s heart pounded with anticipation.
He could already sense the vast, mysterious world waiting at the passage’s end. Despite his excitement, he remained vigilant. The Chaos Void contained not only rival eternal powerhouses but inherent dangers, such as spacetime tides and Void Spirits. And a newly born Chaos Void was certain to be especially perilous.
Caution was paramount. Losing his life before obtaining any treasures would be the ultimate failure.
With a final burst of speed, True Saint Yue Luo traversed the remaining distance and emerged into another realm—the newly opened Tenth Chaos Void.
Endless light filled the void. Spacetime twisted around him, and terrifying spacetime rifts extended into the deepest reaches of space. Most striking, however, were the blazing colossal celestial bodies at the void’s edge, radiating boundless light in all directions.
Each celestial body outshone a true star by over a million times.
These celestial bodies? True Saint Yue Luo started in surprise. With a brief probe, he discovered that this void contained over a hundred such celestial bodies, a truly strange phenomenon.
I never encountered anything like this in the Ninth or Eighth Chaos Voids. Could they be unique to the Tenth Chaos Void?
Each of the previous nine Chaos Voids possessed distinctive characteristics. Perhaps these celestial bodies were a signature of this Chaos Void.
These stars seem to harbor danger. He concluded, instincts flaring. I should vacate this area and explore safer regions first.
He dared not proceed recklessly. Following a vague directive from the threads of destiny, he began flying in what appeared to be a relatively secure direction.
Then, the previously silent void erupted.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Each fiery red celestial body, seemingly eternal and spanning millions of li across, suddenly exploded with activity. Molten magma burst forth, exceeding the speed of light by a hundredfold.
In one horrifying instant, over a hundred stars erupted simultaneously, endless flames engulfing the void, surging toward True Saint Yue Luo with a thunderous roar.
This—! Yue Luo gasped, stunned. In his perception, these blazing celestial bodies had come alive in that moment, each posing a lethal threat.
Over a hundred of them erupted at once!
Void Spirits! Understanding dawned on him. These fiery stars are powerful Void Spirits, similar to the Nine-Star Celestial Tree. A cold dread washed over him. The strength of each star likely rivals that of a Full True Saint.
Unfortunately, his realization came too late.
The combined eruption of over a hundred Void Spirits was equivalent to an attack from a Dao Zenithel, engulfing True Saint Yue Luo completely. Though he wore Xiantian Instrument armor and had cultivated an Eternal Matter Body, he perished instantly.
True Saint Yue Luo was dead!
…
In the Abyss Alliance Voidrealm, deep within the temple of the Nanga Eternal plane, True Saint Yue Luo’s avatar conversed with Dao Zenithel Nanga’s avatar.
“Yue Luo, as the first to enter, your chances are greatest,” Dao Zenithel Nanga said with an encouraging smile. “You must strive to seize the Chaos Nucleus. That’s your best chance of advancing to Dao Zenithel.”
“Yes,” True Saint Yue Luo nodded respectfully. “I will do my utmost.”
His avatar continued reporting calmly, “I’ve just entered the Tenth Chaos Void and haven’t encountered any dangers yet. I’m preparing to explore deeper—”
Suddenly, terror flashed across Yue Luo’s face. He cried out instinctively, “No! They’re Void Spirits!”
Boom! True Saint Yue Luo’s avatar instantly dissipated, leaving behind a dumbfounded Dao Zenithel Nanga.
He perished? Dao Zenithel Nanga could scarcely believe it. True Saint Yue Luo died in an instant? What sort of danger did he encounter?
Dao Zenithel Nanga muttered, brow furrowed. Void Spirits? Do terrifyingly powerful Void Spirits inhabit the Tenth Chaos Void? But even exceptionally strong spirits should reach the Threshold Dao Zenithel level at most. They shouldn’t be able to kill Yue Luo instantly, unless he was ambushed.
Are the Void Spirits of the Tenth Chaos Void exceptionally skilled at concealment? Dao Zenithel Nanga pondered. I must relay this intelligence to the other True Saints and pass this warning to Chen Mo and the others as well.
He sighed deeply. With such danger lurking, who knows how many True Saints will still venture forth, or what treasures they might claim?
He shook his head slightly, then dismissed the matter. Though the newly born Chaos Void was enticing, it held less allure for Dao Zenithels like himself. Moreover, regardless of their desires, Dao Zenithels couldn’t enter anyway.
They could only watch as the True Saints battled it out.
…
“What? A new Chaos Void has been born within the Nine Chaos Voids?”
“Extremely dangerous?”
“True Saint Yue Luo was the first to discover the entrance and also the first to enter, but he has already fallen?”
After recognizing the dangers of the Tenth Chaos Void, the highest-ranking Dao Zenithels of the Abyss Alliance finally stopped concealing the news. They swiftly relayed this information to all True Saints under their command. Whether to venture in or not would be each True Saint’s personal choice.
“I’ll go!” declared one, eyes gleaming with determination.
“Haha, the other Chaos Voids have long since been picked clean over the years,” laughed another. “Even spending great lengths of time there now might yield nothing. I can’t be bothered anymore.”
“The birth of the Tenth Chaos Void means countless fresh treasures!”
“An opportunity!”
“This is absolutely a grand opportunity.”
“I’ll risk it. I’ve cultivated for endless years, yet remain stuck at this level. I’ll venture in and try my luck. I don’t dare hope for the Chaos Nucleus, but even obtaining some Chaos Jade Crystals would be worth it. Perhaps it could help me break through.”
“At worst, I perish once. With my accumulations, I can be revived and return.” The countless True Saints of the Abyss Alliance boiled with excitement.
Immediately, the true selves of numerous True Saints began to set out.
Indeed, the opening of a Chaos Void was destined to be incredibly dangerous. Many True Saints would die. But this grim reality could not dampen their enthusiasm for adventure.
Death? Having lived through endless ages, these True Saints yearned to break through even more than their fear of death. The promise of advancement outweighed the risk.
…
Despite the Abyss Alliance’s fervent attempts to suppress the news, it quickly spread.
Meanwhile, within the Ninth Chaos Void, the spacetime rift expanded with alarming speed, its violent fluctuations intensifying with each passing moment. Powerhouses from rival factions had begun to detect these fluctuations. The news raced outward, completely unstoppable.
…
Among the fourteen first-rate powers that dominated the boundless cosmic sea, none remained as shrouded in mystery as Wan Yu Tower. Its stronghold’s location had confounded all beings for countless ages.
Unlike other major factions such as the Eldritch Court, Immortal Court, and Blood Dream Alliance, whose headquarters, while heavily fortified and impenetrable, at least existed at fixed spacetime coordinates, Wan Yu Tower defied all conventional understanding. Everyone knew its base was somewhere within the Eternal Realm of Dao Zenithel Wan Yu, but the exact coordinates? An absolute enigma.
No being in existence, save for those within the faction’s inner circle, could pinpoint where the Eternal Realm of Dao Zenithel Wan Yu actually existed. Even members of the faction could only enter or exit through the Eternal Realm passages using tokens crafted for this purpose.
No other domain had earned such a reputation for secrecy as the Wan Yu Eternal Realm.
On this particular day, deep within a secluded plane of the Wan Yu Eternal Realm, a silver-haired youth sat motionless atop a frost-covered mountain peak. Howling icy gales whipped around him, and knee-deep snow frozen for countless millennia blanketed everything in sight. The youth had remained there, still as an ice sculpture, for what seemed an eternity.
Suddenly, his eyes snapped open, glinting with surprise.
Hmm? He murmured, sharp awareness breaking through his meditative state. The ancestor is summoning me?
Without a moment’s hesitation, he stepped forward. The world blurred around him as spacetime distorted, and in an instant, he materialized within a mysterious realm. Here, brilliant starlight danced across a kaleidoscopic backdrop of twisting spacetime currents.
An elderly man with flowing white hair sat serenely upon a spacetime river.
“Ancestor,” the silver-haired youth bowed respectfully.
He was naturally prideful, looking down on most Dao Zenithels, believing he would one day surpass them all. But toward this white-haired elder, he harbored sincere respect. Without the elder’s guidance, he might have struggled to achieve eternity in this cycle, let alone reach the apex of True Saints.
“Yin Yu, sit,” the white-haired elder said warmly, waving his hand to conjure a jade platform beside him.
Yin Yu obeyed without question, settling into the offered seat.
“How long have you been in seclusion this time?” the elder asked.
“Eight samsara cycles of heaven and earth,” Yin Yu replied.
The elder’s gaze turned searching. “Have you found the path forward?”
“I have some vague intuitions,” Yin Yu admitted, “but nothing concrete yet.”
“Indeed,” the elder nodded sagely. “Advancing from the third step to the fourth is tremendously difficult. The more powerful one’s self-created Dao, the greater the challenge becomes.”
He sighed, “Those Dao Masters pioneered only superior self-created Daos, making their journey relatively simpler. But your Dao, while not quite matching the Primordial self-created Daos, ranks among the strongest top-tier Daos in existence. It certainly surpasses mine at your stage.”
“Ancestor, your Dao is celebrated as the foremost in Spacetime,” Yin Yu countered respectfully. “Even the Spacetime Dao Master’s Dao pales in comparison.”
The elder laughed, a warm, rumbling sound. “Don’t underestimate the Spacetime Dao Master. His direct combat prowess may be lacking, but his auxiliary techniques are formidable indeed. Even the mighty Heavenly Imperator and Eldritch Progenitor Hou Tu will likely fall prey to his subtle machinations.”
His expression grew serious as he studied Yin Yu. “I believe you will surpass me someday, with the potential to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Heavenly Imperator and others of that caliber.
“Naturally, taking the fourth step of your self-created Dao is extraordinarily challenging.”
Yin Yu listened attentively. From his keen intellect and guidance from the threads of destiny, he sensed that the conversation was building toward something significant. Everything suggested that the ancestor had summoned him for an important matter.
“You’re familiar with the Nine Chaos Voids?” the elder asked suddenly.
“Yes,” Yin Yu nodded. “I wandered the Eighth Chaos Void extensively in my younger days.”
“Good.” The elder’s lips curved into a subtle smile. “The Tenth Chaos Void has been born.”
He fixed Yin Yu with a meaningful look. “You should understand what this implies.”
“The Tenth Chaos Void?” Yin Yu’s composure shattered. He leapt to his feet, eyes wide with shock. “The Chaos Nucleus? Chaos Jade Crystals?”
“Precisely.” The elder’s voice grew solemn. “Since the Primordium, six Chaos Voids have emerged from the Chaos. Each birth produces one Chaos Nucleus and nine Chaos Jade Crystals, all ultimate treasures for Dao comprehension.
“You were born too late to witness previous emergences, but this opportunity is yours to seize.”
“I understand.” Yin Yu’s breathing quickened, his eyes blazing.
