“Finally, this is it.”

The skies had long darkened, and the patrols below had intensified a bit. A small group of orcs and Uruks could be seen passing the area on a leisurely stroll. Viktor watched everything unfold with eager eyes, as he smiled atop his blue warg mount.

If this plan works, Viktor may be able to finish two or three objectives. However, on the other hand, if he failed at all, he might not achieve even one.

But he was not afraid, for, at this moment, Viktor is once again reminded of his own favorite words.

“Carpe Diem!” “Seize the Day!”

Though Viktor was not the type to make sacrifices, the situation was oddly fitting for those words. As he cried out, he rode down the hill at top speed towards the wooden fortress while shouting at the orcs.

“Here I am, again! Do you all miss me?”

The patrolling orcs ran towards the war drums and shouted, while others pulled their weapons and charged. As the thrum of the drums filled the area, the ground started to rumble as 200 orcs and 100 uruks poured out from the fortress.

Thum! Thum! Thum! Thum!-.

Growl! Growl!

The war drums resounded, and the creatures all charged toward him with their weapons in hand. Their expressions looked fiercer than ever before.

Viktor acted as if he was about to meet them halfway, but right as they got close enough, Viktor swerved to the side and pulled away from the thick of battle.

“What are you? Are you a sloth or an orc?! Why are you so slow, come at me!”

Growl! Growl! Growl!

He was lucky that the orcs were no smarter than elementary school children. While taunting them all, Viktor made them run around the fortress and far from the stronghold to the attack point his team had agreed upon.

Then, a huge metallic machine appears driving down the hill through the forest, crashing over and uprooting all the trees on its way.

Woooooot! Woooooot!

As the strange machine came into view, the orcs in the backline started to blow on a crude horn, a signal for all the war parties to pull back to their camps.

Woooooot! Woooooot!

Thanks to the steep hill, the war machine rolled down the hill faster than anticipated. On one hand, that helped to chase and even roll over some of the orcs who were falling behind, but on the other hand, it may get a bit too fast.

“Faster! faster!!”

Jessie shouted at the two who were pedaling inside the heavy tank. In response to the orders, Barry and Kosta rotated a metallic lever near the front, ensuring the tank railing would move and make the heavy metal box go faster.

“Faster!!”

They arrived halfway to the fortress before a few war parties emerged from the forest behind them. Hundreds of orcs all rushed at the metal machine with their weapons drawn, while the orcs who were guarding the walls atop the fortress started to rain wooden arrows onto them.

Sshhh! Shhhhs! Shhhh!

Clank! Clank! Clank

No matter how much the orcs rained down arrows on the machine, none of them could pierce the thick, tempered tier 2 metal plates. They only make scratches and noises.

Then, a part of the tank was opened, revealing holes enough to aim. Boris and Torri have both prepared high-caliber guns and started shooting.

Bam!!! Bamm!! Bamm!!

Torri used his sniper rifle to shoot the orc who gave orders to the archer orcs, while Boris aimed his machine gun towards the back. As soon as the orcs arrive within range, he pulled the trigger.

Tratatatatatata Tratatatataa

The sound of bullets and explosions started to echo inside the metallic tank, and Liza started to tear up. Her body and lips trembled, but then she felt someone hug her from behind and speak in a calming voice.

“Shh… Don’t worry, girl, you are fine.” Eva whispered to her and patted her head. “No need to be afraid, okay?”

As they got closer to the gate, Viktor returned as he had finished distracting all 300 orcs. He dashed towards the tank, jumped on top of it, and shouted as the tank was right in front of the closed gate.

“Fire!!”

The tank cannon moved and aimed towards the well-reinforced wooden gate. Then, Jessie tugged on a lever. It was connected to a massive weight placed near the back to ensure the tank wouldn’t flip over, while gunpowder served to help enhance the makeshift cannon’s strength.

Baaaammmm!!!

A sphere the size of a bowling ball shot out from the cannon, glowing and pulsing with heat from red runes on its surface. As soon as it touched the gate, the sphere released its energy, causing the gate to explode into pieces.

Kabooommm!!!

“Yesss!!!!”

Everyone inside the tank was cheering, as they could see the results of their hard work. Even though the fires outside could be felt inside the metal box, none of them were complaining about the heat.

The gate shook, collapsed, and fell off its hinges into piles of useless rubble. Right after, the next horde of 100 Uruk that had been waiting behind the gates poured out, along with the 300 or so Uruks that Viktor previously managed to distract.

Luckily for Viktor, his improvised bait worked, as he managed to get the tank inside the fortress while 300 orcs were still lagging behind leaving only 100 Uruk standing on their way.

Then, after the tank was inside, the war machine suddenly turned around, stopped, and blocked the entrance to the fortress. This was the crux of their actual plan.

Viktor knocked at the metal tank a little before he quickly used [Metal Fusion] to charge at the 100 uruk blocking his way. Meanwhile, Boris and Torri opened the prepared holes behind the tank and prepared themselves.

A few seconds passed, and Jessie shouted.

“Fire!”

Kaboom!!! Kaboom!! Tratatatat Tratatata

The metallic war machine proceeded to shoot several cannonballs at the same time, each glowing in the distinct runes of fire, lightning, and ice elements. Each cannonball was aimed at the most crowded groups, killing a lot of orcs while everyone else cleared the horde by using the firearms they had prepared.

Everyone was busy, leaving Viktor to fight alone. However, with the tier 2 metal armor increasing his strength, Viktor was confident that he could do a solo fight against 100 uruk with his own strength..

Splat! Splat!

Growl! Growl!

The bracelet vibrated again, and Viktor took a quick glance at it, it was a notification showing how much time was left.

[30 minutes left]

With quick slashes and dodges, Viktor kept on attacking the uruk army until blood started to pool in front of the fortress. Then, the ground shook and a loud rumbling sound echoed, an indication the main army had arrived to face him.

A hundred uruk berserkers, the strongest elite uruk army, have arrived to face him. They fiercely growled and snarled as they charged forward.

Behind the special elite hordes, a massive orc could be seen. The orc was barely shorter than the massive fortress gate, and in front of him, even the berserkers looked like little children.

The most awaited figure has arrived, and the celebrity has joined the party.

It was an orc that is around four meters tall, with two large blades each as tall as a man strapped on its back.

[You are now facing Raz Gulag – the Orc Warchief]

[Battle power 150]

Roooaarr!!!

The strength radiating from its battle cry alone was overwhelming, but Viktor was already prepared. He raised his axe and swung right as the cannon turned away from the horde. Now with the cannon facing the war chief,

Booommmm!!!

A cannonball glowing with ice runes shot right towards the massive figure. However, it roared, pulled both of its blades, and slashed onto the incoming sphere. As the two attacks met, the cannonball exploded, releasing cold mist that froze the area around the orcs.

“Yes!”

Viktor cheered. He was happy and waited for the notification informing the death of the orc boss. Unfortunately, it never came. The icy smoke dissipated, revealing a few orc berserkers have been wounded or even frozen in ice.

Meanwhile, the war chief was unscathed.

“What kind of monster is this?!” Viktor shouted in slight bewilderment as the orc boss charged forward with his soldiers in tow all 100 elite berserkers. To make it even worst from behind he started to see hordes of orcs climbing above the tanks that cover the gate and more overflowing into the fortress, meaning charging from his back.
