Young Master Gu, Please Be Gentle

“Mm.”

Madam Fu didn’t say anything wrong, but the corner of Lin Shiyu’s lips twitched a little.

Seeing her noncommittal response, Madam Fu instantly showed an aggrieved expression, though her voice was gentle as she tried to persuade the young woman, “Shiyu, I understand that you youngsters these days don’t want to have children so quickly, but look at me, I’m already so old. If you don’t give birth any sooner, what if I never get to meet my beloved grandchild? Whenever I head out to play mahjong with those other women, they always show off their grandchildren in front of me and I feel so sad. Shiyu, can you understand what I’m saying?”

Madam Fu teared up and held onto Lin Shiyu’s tiny hand pitifully.

Lin Shiyu stared at Madam Fu, who had just claimed to be old. Her mother-in-law’s face was even more youthful than a young woman’s. She was speechless.

“Mother… it’s not only my choice. It’s because… Qinglun has been too busy lately and he doesn’t have the time to conceive a baby with me…” Being ambushed by her mother-in-law, Lin Shiyu didn’t think further before pushing the blame onto Fu Qinglun.

“Qinglun, come here now!” Madam Fu exclaimed.

Lin Shiyu raised her eyes. So, Fu Qinglun was here. Clad in a full black suit, it was ironed so well there were no creases at all. The top-notch fabric accentuated his handsome looks.

Actually, Fu Qinglun was the true role model out of the young masters. The Fu’s had a good family background and hence, the men from the Fu family weren’t addicted to women or sex. They had a strong sense of responsibility not only for themselves, but also for their family. Fu Qinglun had been educated since young that he would only have one woman in his life, his rightful wife and his refined manner wasn’t something that was easy for anyone to imitate.

After comparing with the Gu’s, Lu’s, Lin’s and the Su’s, they all had complicated relationships over the past decades that were difficult to unravel. Hence, Fu Qinglun was the best candidate for all socialites in Karghalik. For them, there was no other choice.

Fu Qinglun ended his conversation with the man beside him, before walking towards the two women. “Mother, is anything wrong?”

“Of course! Shiyu just mentioned that you’re too busy to have a baby with her.” Madam Fu pouted in apparent dissatisfaction.

Lin Shiyu was speechless.

Fu Qinglun hurriedly raised his brows and looked at Lin Shiyu after hearing his mother’s words. She wore a blue halter maxi dress that day and her long, black hair was tied in a low ponytail. Despite her aloof countenance, her feminine features were entrancing and it was hard to take his eyes off of her.

The ocean blue color actually suited her very well, it was cold and mysterious and only served to enhance the perfection of her skin even more. As always, she was stylish in her choices, the clothing and accessories she wore weren’t gaudy or extravagant, but still managed to stand out.

Fu Qinglun placed both hands in his trouser pockets and sneered. “Mrs Fu, are you sure that I’m the one that’s too busy?”

He didn’t even have the chance to sleep with her, how would she even be able to conceive a baby with him?

Madam Fu’s gaze hurriedly became stern and full of suspicion. Seeing her displeased face, Lin Shiyu could only stretch out her arms and hook them around his, before she called to him in sweet voice, “Dear…”

Dear?

This was the first time she had ever called him ‘Dear’.

Fu Qinglun looked at her cold, yet pretentious face, she was as fake as she could ever be. If it wasn’t for his mother, she would never have done it. However, even though he knew this, he couldn’t help but feel touched when he heard her words.

As he stood close beside her, he could smell her attractive body scent, wafting into his nose and distracting his senses. The proximity caused a distinct movement in his Adam’s apple as his pupils contracted. F*ck! This woman’s ‘dear’ had him hard down there!

“Dear, didn’t you tell me that you still want to spend more time building your career and that we won’t plan for a child yet? You can’t back out now, if not, I won’t allow you on our bed tonight!”
