Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband

Chapter 1284: What Are You Thinking

Chapter 1284: What Are You Thinking

At Mr. Wong’s home.

Lu Lian woke up late as she was tired to her bones because certain someone kept her awake the entire night. When she woke, she was alone on that unfolded couch. It reminded her of the previous time when she and Ming Rusheng had spent the night together and when she woke up he was already gone.

‘Where did he go?’ she felt worried and tried to sit but she was sore all over, ‘Damn!’ she cursed.

Just then the door of the workshop opened and Ming Rusheng entered, holding one tray in his hands. She turned her head to look at him and felt relieved seeing him there.

“Are you finally awake?” he asked while keeping the tray on the tea table and came to her.

Still wrapped inside the warm cozy blanket, Lu Lian looked at him, “Where did you go?”

“I went to see an old man,” Ming Rusheng replied.

“Oh! I thought you left…”

Ming Rusheng understood why she thought like that and sat next to her on the couch. He caressed her messed-up hair to move them away from her face and said, “I will never leave you alone. I am sorry for that day when I left you.”

Lu Lian smiled as he understood what she was thinking. “You are forgiven.”

He smiled back, “Thank you so much.”

Lu Lian realized something and asked, “So Mr. Wong knows I am here?”

“It’s his home. What do you expect? Ming Rusheng asked.

“Did he know we were…together…here?” she asked hesitantly.

Ming Rusheng nodded and Lu Lain covered her face with a blanket, “Shit!”

Ming Rusheng couldn’t help but chuckle, “Don’t be embarrassed.”

She peeked out of the blanket, “Can I leave without meeting him?”

“Why?” he asked nonchalantly.

“It’s his home and we stayed here without him knowing beforehand. And after what we did last night….”

“What did we do?” Ming Rusheng asked.

She frowned, “Don’t act. You know well what I mean.”

“I don’t. Seems like I keep losing my memories faster after that accident.”

Lu Lian glared at him and freed her hands from holding the blanket. She held him by the collar and pulled him down, “Don’t you dare forget anything or I will remind you everything in my way.”

He smirked, “Please do so. I would like you to refresh my memories.”

“If my body was not sore, I would have shown you, you monster,” she let go of his collars and calmly lay down as she closed her eyes and furrowed her brows.

Ming Rusheng turned silent as he caressed her head and leaned down to peck on her forehead, “Does it hurt too much. Should we go to the doctor?”

Lu Lian shook her head and opened her eyes to look at his worried ones, “No need. For now, I just want to leave.”

“As you say. Let me help you get up,” Ming Rusheng said and held her hand to make her sit.

Frowning a little in pain, Lu Lian sat up and realized she had no clothes on and held the blanket tight at her chest.

“Don’t worry about it. Not like I didn’t see you,” Ming Rusheng commented and passed her clothes which he had folded and had kept on the table after he woke up.

“I want to freshen up first. Everything is just….”

Ming Rusheng understood and wrapped her in a blanket as it was cold. The next moment she was lifted in his arms like a caterpillar in a cocoon.

“What are you doing?”

“I don’t think you can walk,” Ming Rusheng replied and carried her towards the bathroom inside the workshop.

“Do you want to have a bath?” he asked.

“Hmm,” she nodded.

Just as they entered the bathroom, Lu Lian spoke, “I need a little privacy.”

“Will you be fine alone?” he asked before allowing her to stand.

“Don’t worry,” she said while holding a blanket.

“I will get clothes for you,” Ming Rusheng left the bathroom and returned after a while with the clothes. Lu Lian was still standing in one place. Ming Rusheng kept the clothes on the shelf and left.

“If there is anything, call me,” he said and turned to leave, giving her privacy though he was worried for her.

Lu Lian kept the blanket aside on the shelf and walked towards the shower with much effort. Hot water made her body feel a little better. She cleaned herself and came out of the bathroom in some time changing into her clothes.

Ming Rusheng observed her slow walking pace and she looked uncomfortable. He rushed towards her and helped her walk, “Is it that bad?” He sounded guilty.

“I didn’t even know it would turn out like this. I might need to rest for a day,” she replied and walked to sit on the couch with his help.

Once he helped her, he informed. “I have warmed up breakfast for you. We will leave after you have it.”

Lu Lian nodded and Ming Rusheng brought the tray to her that he carried with him when he returned to the workshop.

“Caretaker made it?” she asked as Ming Rusheng uncovered the food for her.

Ming Rusheng nodded, “When I went to meet the old man, she offered me.”

He picked up a spoon full of soup and held it in front of her. Lu Lijun didn’t deny it when he offered her and ate it obediently. The way he looked at her with his gentle gaze, opposite to how cold he used to be always, she wished to keep looking at him.

“You? She asked.

“After you,” he replied and offered another spoonful. Lu Lian had it and picked up another spoon in the tray and she offered him.

Ming Rusheng, who didn’t remember if he had even been fed by his mother, opened his mouth obediently and ate it. A content smile appeared on Lu Lian’s lips but she observed he was silent from the moment he helped her get into the bathroom.

“What are you thinking?” she asked.

“Nothing,” he replied and instructed, “Eat first.”
