Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband

Chapter 1101 - That Someone Is My Wife...

Chapter 1101 - That Someone Is My Wife...

The things were taken care of by announcing to the media that the bride and groom didn't want to continue with the engagement. The two were young and decided in haste. It was a mutual decision from both sides.

Though there were so many questions regarding how it happened at the last moment just before the engagement ceremony, no one dared to say a word due to the influence of Lus and Wens.

The media people were directed to say only what these two families asked them to, and no further discussion was there.

Till morning, everything was buried for the outside world as if nothing had happened.

-------

Wen's residence.

All the guests left, leaving only Mr. Wen's family. Liwei didn't come out of her room for breakfast, and no one forced her to do so, to let her take time.

"How is she?" Mr. Wen asked his wife.

"Must be embarrassed to face her father," Mrs. Wen replied.

"We should let go of what happened. They are young, and mistakes are bound to happen," Wen Zac suggested.

"I am sure it's not her fault. She is so soft by heart to blame him and became his partner in crime," Mr. Wen commented.

"If she doesn't wish to cause a big issue, then the father should respect her decision and let everything be peaceful," Wen Zac added.

Mr. Wen didn't react to it and stood up. "I have some work to do." He left.

Wen Zac looked at his mother. "Father seemed to be up to something."

"He loves his daughter more than anything. What do you expect from him?"

"It will affect his relationship with uncle Lu."

Mrs. Wen sighed. "I know, but we can't stop him if he wants to do something."

-------

Wen Zac went to Liwei, who was sitting silently on the bed, resting at the headboard.

"How are you?" Wen Zac asked.

Liwei tried to act normal and replied as if nothing happened. "Good. Just a little exhausted."

"You can keep that act to show our father. No need in front of me."

Liwei turned silent and lowered her sight.

"You really liked him, right?" Wen Zac asked.

With her sight lowered, Liwei nodded.

"Liking someone is not in our hands, so what are you feeling sad for? Is it because he backed out of engagement?"

Liwei nodded.

"Isn't it better he realized it even though it was at the last moment, or both of you would have regretted it."

Liwei nodded again.

"I know it hurts when one we like doesn't love us back. If you wish to cry, you have this," Wen Zac patted his shoulder that was on Liwei's side.

Liwei, who didn't shed a single tear till now, couldn't hold it back and put her head on her brother's shoulder.

"I know you look bad when you cry, so I don't plan to look at you. You can take your time."

Liwei continued crying silently as she held her brother's hand.

"At least you got to have some nice moments with him. The person I liked doesn't even know I like her, and I never got the chance to be with her."

Liwei looked at her brother as she wiped her tiers.

Wen Zac looked back at her and spoke, "You can cry as much as you want now, and later you will be fine."

"Who is she?" Liwei asked.

"The one who never even once looked at me," Wen Zac replied.

He stood up and fetched the water for his sister. Before she could ask anything more, he spoke. "That much information is enough."

Liwei didn't ask and accepted the water.

Noon passed by, but Lu Lijun was still sitting in Jiang Yuyan's room, waiting for her fever to go down and when she would wake up.

"He hasn't eaten anything?" Elder Lu asked.

"He must feel guilty as she is sick because she went to search for him," Ning Jiahui replied.

Elder Lu nodded. "Till a few days back, he acted as if he hated her, but now he is the most worried for her."

-----

Finally, before the evening, there was a movement in Jiang Yuyan's bed, and Lu Lijun noticed it. He was worried to think how she would react when she would see him, but at the same time, he wanted to be with her and check if she was fine.

Lying in a bed, Jiang Yuyan opened her eyes. She had a headache and felt dizzy as her eyes felt heavy to open.

She closed them again and breathed deeply to get some energy, and looked around. She saw Lu Lijun sitting in the chair and while looking at her.

"Finally, you are awake," Lu Lijun said calmly and stood up to go to her. He acted as if nothing happened and everything was fine.

Inhaling deeply, she frowned, "Get out of my room." she warned before he could reach her.

He didn't stop and went to her, "Mother asked me to take care of you as she is busy."

Seeing him coming closer to her, she sat up in the bed even though she had a little strength left.

"Don't come close to me," she warned furiously, which hurt her head even more.

Lu Lijun was still calm. Her anger was nothing in front of how worried he felt for her. "You can get angry at me later. For now, you need to take care...."

She glared at him. "When did you learn to obey others, and do you even know how to care for someone?"

"No. I don't, but for the first time, I want to take care of someone, and that someone is my wife." Came the calm reply from the man as he looked at her with his sight full of love for her.
