Chapter 1409 - 859: The 996 Rumor

"According to the latest statistics, Zhang Yu is the leader with the fewest total murder records among all the Soul Cultivation Companies at the Old Graveyard, almost never having participated in the manufacturing of soul cultivation. It’s hard to imagine how a leader with such a lack of grassroots experience, not engaging in frontline work, could manage a soul cultivation enterprise successfully."

Some are refuting with rumors that Zhang Yu killed many in the Lower Realm, but no one seems to care. After all, from the perspective of those in the Upper Realm, is that the same? Are the deaths in the Lower Realm even considered people? Can it be compared to the manufacturing of soul cultivation in the Upper Realm? Even the poorest soul cultivator at the Old Graveyard thinks it’s absurd.

Besides, all sorts of rumors are frequently emerging.

"Have you heard? Zhang Yu’s company only works from 9 AM to 9 PM every day and even takes an actual day off every week!"

"Working only 12 hours a day? And still resting? Is 996 soul cultivator work? I’ve never seen such lousy working conditions in my life!"

Although the Wanfa Sect stipulated a 4-hour work system internally, soul cultivation obviously doesn’t count, especially since many soul cultivators are privately employed by cultivators, making them unrelated to sect laws like the ’Employment Law’ and ’Enterprise Protection Law’."

As the news spreads, the voices of criticism and doubt are endless."

As for the paid visibility, although Zhang Yu’s side has refuted the rumors, all sorts of rumors persist."

"I heard that working for Zhang Yu requires paid visibility."

"Wasn’t it refuted? Zhang Yu even paid the visibility fees for the soul cultivators."

"You actually believe that? Do you think that’s possible? It must be just for show. Trusting him is worse than trusting I’m the Immortal Emperor!"

As various opinions continue to ferment, the outcome of this public opinion battle seems to have been decided."

"President, according to the latest soul survey, only about 2% of soul cultivators have a positive attitude towards Zhang Yu’s company."

Listening to the report from his subordinate, Xiao Yunhe nodded slightly, "Continue, press the support rate below 1%!"

"I want Wanfa Sect’s soul cultivation company to have no foothold in the Old Graveyard."

With the public opinion offensive launched by Xiao Yunhe, Zhang Yu and the soul cultivation companies invested by Wanfa Sect in the Old Graveyard, as well as those co-invested with the Sky Demon Sect, though not yet officially open, have already become notorious, resolved by countless soul cultivators in the Old Graveyard never to visit."

When Lu Hengzhang arrived at the Old Graveyard to report, he saw such a one-sided situation."

Lu Hengzhang thought, "Heh, Zhang Yu, although you beat me, it seems your own situation isn’t looking good."

Since experiencing the Heaven Collapse Incident, being captured by the True God, and losing all his property, Lu Hengzhang had become a soul cultivator."

And what he didn’t know whether to feel fortunate or worried about was being assigned to the Wanfa Sect soul cultivation company on the Old Graveyard side, even as a cultivator from Wanfa Sect."

Lu Hengzhang thought to himself, "Zhang Yu’s company has yet to officially open, but can already receive soul cultivation criminals from the Heavenly Court. It seems there’s someone from Wanfa Sect pulling strings to find soul cultivation resources for the new soul cultivation company at the Old Graveyard."

Lu Hengzhang wasn’t surprised at all about this, as Wanfa Sect, since getting involved in soul cultivation companies, naturally had various methods."

"Fine, at least this way, I remain part of Wanfa Sect and continue serving the sect, fulfilling duties for the Immortal Clan and being loyal to the Immortal Emperor."

"No matter what, Zhang Yu is also a cultivator from Wanfa Sect, serving Wanfa Sect’s cultivators is surely better than serving those from an Outer Sect."

"I hope there’s a chance to be assigned under the Immortal Clan eventually."

Lu Hengzhang considered himself devoted to the Love Sect, even causing the Heaven Collapse originally to push High Intelligent Artifact Spirits, bringing Wanfa Sect further ahead in this field, stabilizing Innate Dao Inheritance, maintaining orderly sect, with his devotion to the sect beyond question."

...

Meanwhile, in the Netherworld Property Department office.

Before Zhang Yu, a message appeared from Zhao Tianxing.

Zhao Tianxing: Director, public opinion is fierce, do we really not need to do anything?

Zhang Yu stated: Golden Core already?

Zhao Tianxing replied with slight delight: Yes

But soon Zhao Tianxing worriedly said: Now it’s getting more and more exaggerated! Director, they all say you rely purely on hard practice, your Immortal Dao cultivation lacks solidity, besides having never been killed, nor having much experience in manufacturing soul cultivation."

Zhao Tianxing: Some even spread false rumors claiming we’re the ridiculous 996 working system! Working only 12 hours a day and resting one day a week!

Zhao Tianxing: Director, according to the latest soul survey, only 2% of soul cultivators have a positive attitude towards us, and this figure is decreasing more."

Damn it... Zhang Yu thought you couldn’t even be a good leader without killing someone, right? Besides, who said I’m practicing hard? I’m gaming the system, exploiting genius-level talents!

But Zhang Yu also understood, flaunting the ’Yu Shu’ is impossible, yet flaunting wealth might still be viable."

Meanwhile, in Zhang Yu’s mind, the Kao Sect Avatar exclaimed, "Outrageous! How dare they falsely claim our Wanfa Sect’s soul cultivation is a 996 working system? That’s not acceptable!"

Fu Ji said, "This is good timing! Zhang Yu, since they’re spending money to start a public opinion offensive, let’s take advantage and retaliate!"

Transformed into a Black Pearl, jointly with Fu Ji, Xiang Shen was drawn to the meeting, and upon hearing it agreed,"Fu Ji is right, this is a great opportunity for hype."
