Yandere Villainess CEO is obsessed with me
Chapter 46: My Name is Julian Vance
Driver Wang carefully checked Victoria Sterling’s reflection in the rearview mirror.
Sure enough, the heavy, storm-like gloom that had clouded her features earlier had completely dissipated, replaced by a soft, satisfied smile.
"President Sterling," Driver Wang suggested cautiously, "if I may... I think we should install privacy partitions in all your personal vehicles immediately."
Victoria raised an eyebrow slightly. "Why?"
"With a glass partition in place, the view between the front cabin and the rear passenger section will be entirely blocked," Driver Wang explained, picking her words with extreme care. "That way, whenever you and Master Vance share a drive, you won’t have to worry about anyone observing your private moments."
Victoria’s mind flashed back to the intimate fifteen minutes they had just shared in the back seat. Her rosy lips curved upward in an approving arc. "An excellent idea. Make it happen today."
"Yes, President Sterling." Driver Wang let out a quiet sigh of relief. From now on, whenever her boss felt like kissing Julian on the road, at least she wouldn’t have to awkwardly pretend to be invisible while holding back a cough.
"Let’s go," Victoria instructed smoothly.
The custom extended Rolls-Royce glided away from the campus entrance and merged into the morning traffic.
Meanwhile, a crowd of lingering students had secretly followed Julian at a distance as he made his way inside the main building.
"I wonder which department that guy belongs to," one girl whispered, clutching her books. "I’d give anything to sit in the same lecture hall as him."
Natasha couldn’t help but entertain the exact same thought. If they happened to share a major, her chances of approaching him would multiply dramatically. The more time she spent around him, the easier it would be to win his affection.
Capital University operated on a specialized private model. Students within the same major took almost all their core academic modules in the exact same home lecture hall, breaking out into separate classrooms only for elective courses.
Julian walked into Lecture Hall 3 for the senior class of the Finance Department.
"Natasha!" Rosy’s eyes went wide as she grabbed her friend’s wrist. "He actually went into Lecture Hall 3! He’s not just in our department—he’s in our exact class!"
Rosy was practically glowing with excitement. She knew her own average looks meant she had zero chance with top-tier heirs, but Natasha was gorgeous and knew how to play her cards. If Natasha managed to secure a man who casually rode in multi-million-dollar vehicles, Rosy stood to gain plenty of perks by staying by her side.
Natasha lowered her head, a soft blush rising to her cheeks. First, she had encountered him at the high-end venue, and now they were seatmates in the same major. It really must be fate, she thought.
Julian found an empty desk near the back, sat down, and pulled out his heavy finance textbooks.
Looking at the complex equations and market analysis charts, a subtle frown formed on his face.
The original host of this body had scored exceptionally well on the entrance exams, but after arriving at university, his life had dissolved into working odd jobs to earn pocket money while spending every remaining waking second desperately chasing Natasha. He hadn’t spent a single hour actually studying his major. Consequently, his academic standing was near the very bottom of the department.
The system wants me to secure first place in the department within seven days, Julian thought with an inward sigh. How am I supposed to study four years of elite finance theory into one week?
Resigned to his fate, Julian flipped open the first page of the advanced portfolio management manual.
Then he stopped.
He flipped to the next page, scanning the dense blocks of text and analytical models.
Wait... what is this?
Every single word, chart, and financial formula seemed to print itself instantly onto his mind with crystal clarity. It wasn’t just photographic memory—the moment his eyes swept over a concept, the underlying logic, mathematical proof, and practical application clicked in his brain effortlessly!
He turned another page. Arbitrage Pricing Theory. In an eye-blink, the complex multivariate regression equations unfolded in his mind like a simple, intuitive puzzle.
It felt as though an invisible dam in his intellect had burst open. He was no longer just reading information; he was absorbing human knowledge directly into his hard drive, completely mapped with deep, intrinsic mastery.
A sharp grin touched his lips. A photographic memory paired with instant comprehension cheat code! Getting first place isn’t just possible—it’s going to be a walk in the park.
"Benefactor!"
A sudden, eager voice interrupted his reading. A young man dressed in sharp designer attire slid into the seat right beside Julian, looking at him with shining, heroic eyes.
It was Sean—the transfer student Julian had casually saved at the auction house by steering him away from a bad investment.
"It really is you!" Sean declared enthusiastically, leaning over to grab Julian’s hand. "We are truly destined to be brothers! I had no idea we were in the exact same class!"
Julian quickly pulled his hand back. "Keep it down. And there’s no need for dramatic titles."
Sean grinned unabashedly. He had followed Julian’s brief tip at the venue to invest in Huachang Technology, and the stock had surged by thirty percent overnight, earning his family a massive profit. He was convinced Julian was a hidden financial genius.
"Let me introduce myself properly," Sean said cheerfully. "I’m Sean. But since you’re my financial savior, I’m just going to call you Jules!"
"Jules?" Natasha, sitting three rows ahead, murmured the syllable softly under her breath.
The name Julian instantly flashed through her mind, overlapping strangely with the mystery man’s presence. But she quickly dismissed the thought with a contemptuous smirk.
Julian Vance is a broke, pathetic loser who follows me around like a stray dog. How could he ever compare to someone this extraordinary?
At that moment, the door to the lecture hall opened, and Professor Mira walked up to the podium.
She was a sharp, relatively young academic with a known weakness for aesthetic charm. Scanning the room, her eyes immediately locked onto Julian sitting by the window.
Her eyes lit up instantly. When did our department get a student who looks like a runway model? Is he auditing the course?
"Good morning, everyone," Professor Mira announced, placing her notes on the lectern. "Before we begin today’s lecture on corporate valuation, let’s do a quick pop-quiz to see who actually reviewed the assigned reading over the break."
A collective groan echoed through the room. Most of the wealthy students had spent their vacation partying; no one had touched a textbook.
"Let’s see..." Professor Mira smiled, pointing directly toward the back. "The gentleman in the white shirt, fourth row on the left."
Sean nudged Julian softly. "Jules, she’s calling on you."
Julian stood up smoothly, calm and unbothered. He glanced at the complex valuation case study projected on the screen and began to speak.
His deep, clear voice resonated through the silent room with an easy, measured cadence. He didn’t just state the textbook answer; he systematically dismantled the valuation model, highlighted two hidden market risks, and presented an alternative hedging strategy—all off the top of his head.
The entire class fell dead silent.
"Oh my god," a female student whispered frantically to her desk mate. "He’s rich, breathtakingly handsome, AND a genius?!"
"If I could be his girlfriend, I’d wake up smiling every single day!"
Sitting near the front, Natasha let out a quiet, disdainful scoff under her breath. Look at these common girls drooling over him. Do they honestly think they stand a chance?
However, another student nearby frowned, listening closely to Julian’s cadence. "Hey... doesn’t his voice sound exactly like Julian Vance’s? Even his height and jawline look similar... Could he actually be Julian?"
"Are you crazy?" her friend scoffed instantly. "Julian Vance is a scruffy, penniless loser who spends all day waiting outside Natasha’s dorm. If this guy is Julian Vance, I’ll chop my own head off and let you kick it like a soccer ball!"
At the front of the room, Professor Mira’s eyes shone with unreserved admiration. "Flawless execution! I haven’t seen an analysis that sharp in years. Young man, what is your name? I don’t believe I’ve seen you in my lectures before."
Julian adjusted his posture in the wooden lecture hall seat, feeling the collective gaze of two hundred students shift toward his middle-row desk. . Meeting Professor Mira’s beaming gaze from across the podium, he unclasped his hands, leaned forward slightly with a composed nod, and let his voice carry across the room. "
"My name is Julian Vance."
