Chapter 547: Chapter 546: Sea Demon Queen

CREAK. The door swung open.

A faint, serene scent drifted out.

The room was as vast as a palace chamber, furnished with silk and brocade. In the center stood a large bed draped in a sheer silk mosquito net.

Qin Feng glanced around, unconcerned. He had long since replaced sleep with meditation.

His gaze fell upon a meditation cushion off to the side.

"How thoughtful of the Sea Demon Clan," he muttered to himself.

He walked over and sat cross-legged on the cushion. Instantly, Qin Feng felt an incredibly dense Water Spiritual Qi surging up from the cushion and flowing into his meridians.

The Spiritual Qi here was dozens of times denser than in the outside world.

Fuhai Palace was a Spirit Mountain deep in the sea, built by the Sea Demon Clan with Great Divine Abilities upon a nexus of countless intertwining undersea Condensing Veins. The Spiritual Qi here was as rich as that of any Spirit Mountain Blessed Land belonging to the first-class sects.

He took a gentle breath, and his vast Black Water True Power began to circulate. With every cycle through his body, a change occurred within his meridians and acupoints. His bones and meridians grew denser, and an ancient aura emanated from his True Power, suffusing his Hundred Acupoints and all the major vital points of his body.

’Such abundant Spiritual Qi!’ he thought with a sigh. Qin Feng glanced around and fell into thought. He had wanted to find an opportunity to visit Bai Yan’Er.

But after mulling it over, he decided it wouldn’t be appropriate.

’Still, I have to find a way to put some distance between her and Xuan Wuji, or Ye Ding,’ he thought. ’Those two are notorious for their incredible luck with women. If she spends too much time with them, complications are bound to arise!’

His expression was troubled. Qin Feng was secretly fuming. He was a Star Reincarnation Body, too, but his luck with women was nowhere near as absurdly good as Ye Ding’s and Xuan Wuji’s.

After some thought, Qin Feng decided that his cultivation was still the most important thing. As for dealing with Ye Ding and Xuan Wuji, there would surely be opportunities within the Sea Soul Realm.

For now, the priority was to improve his cultivation.

His progress with the Void Mystical Meaning was slow, so Qin Feng turned his full attention to comprehending the Water Element Mystical Meaning.

He had already dabbled in all Nine Basic Mystical Techniques of the Water Element. If he could just comprehend them thoroughly, or perhaps synthesize a Composite Mystic Thought, he could significantly boost his combat power in a short amount of time.

Cultivating the Black Water Righteous Method was also crucial. If he could break through to the Twenty-eighth Layer and form the Black Water Profound Snake Body, not only would his lifespan increase dramatically, but his power would also skyrocket.

Qin Feng had a gut feeling that breaking through to the Twenty-eighth Layer of the Black Water Righteous Method wouldn’t be difficult for him.

He sat cross-legged, and after a moment of contemplation, focused all his energy on circulating the Black Water Righteous Method.

Wisps of black light swirled around him, emanating from the Hundred Acupoints of his body. The light was like tangible scales, rippling like dark water.

As his Black Water True Power intensified, a single, hexagonal, diamond-shaped black snake scale materialized between his eyebrows, looking as if it had grown directly from his Flesh Acupoints.

If anyone could see him, they would notice a subtle change in his aura. His eyes grew more slanted and elongated, lending him a strange, demonic handsomeness.

His shadow, cast upon the wall, resembled a colossal, primeval black serpent, radiating an incredibly ancient and majestic aura.

Qin Feng gradually lost himself in his cultivation.

At that moment, a pair of eyes on the bed was watching this scene fixedly.

When she saw Qin Feng enter the room, the naked young woman on the bed had been tense to the breaking point.

But when she saw he had no intention of coming toward the bed, she let out a silent sigh of relief.

She was completely immobilized, her power sealed away. If Qin Feng were to discover her, she feared her virtue would be lost.

’Mother, oh Mother, how could you be so cruel!’

Her eyes turned ice-cold as she prayed that Qin Feng would simply meditate on his cushion for the entire night.

...

In a palace chamber deep within Fuhai Palace.

"Your Majesty, the Ninth Princess has been sent in. As you commanded, her entire cultivation has been sealed."

After speaking, an elderly woman in water-blue, cloud-patterned robes let out a sigh.

"Your Majesty, was this really necessary? The Ninth Princess is your own flesh and blood. She may be rebellious, but she is still a princess of our Sea Demon Clan!"

A middle-aged man with the refined air of a Great Scholar also spoke up. "Your Majesty, what Elder Hai Hun says is not without reason. The Ninth Princess possesses outstanding talent. At such a young age, she’s already on par with the geniuses on the Martial Arts Pride Ranking. If she is nurtured properly, she could become a Sea Stabilizing Pillar for our Sea Demon Clan!"

From the throne, a voice as cold and clear as the crescent moon replied. "Do you also fail to understand my painful intentions? Xiaojiu is utterly possessed. Infatuation is the quickest way to bewitch the heart. Her mind is consumed with thoughts of that Third Prince. She came back this time intending to steal the Clan Treasure of the Sea Demon Clan to help that Third Prince cultivate his Divine Abilities."

"It is one thing to disregard my will, but she can no longer even distinguish right from wrong. I would rather have an obedient daughter of mediocre talent than a genius who ignores the survival of her clan for selfish gain."

"Countless generations of the Sea Demon Clan have sacrificed themselves to achieve our current standing. Since taking the throne, I have worked tirelessly. I will not allow it all to be thrown away by a few unfilial children!"

The two Elders exchanged a look and sighed in sorrow.

The Sea Demon Clan had indeed paid a terrible price to achieve their current status.

In the Ancient Era, Sea Demons were treated as little more than pets by the Dragon Race, traded like commodities with no status to speak of. If not for the rise of the Three Ancient Emperors, which provided an opportunity to break free from the Dragon Race’s control, the Sea Demon Clan would likely still be slaves to the dragons, just like the Mermaid Clan.

Yet even so, their beauty caused countless other factions to covet them.

At events like the Cyan Forest Banquet, they were forced to use their allure as a tool. Countless ancestors sacrificed themselves in this way before the Sea Demon Clan finally grew strong enough to claim its own territory.

The Ninth Princess’s actions were truly a heartbreak to the Sea Demon Clan.

"This is a lesson for her, and it will force her to abandon this fantasy. She will come to understand that the Third Prince is only interested in her looks! The Dragon Race is notoriously fickle. If I don’t do this, she will never learn!"

The elderly woman sighed softly. "But the Ninth Princess will likely hate you forever for this."

"Then let her hate me. From the day I took the title of Sea Demon Queen from my sister’s hands, what have I not been willing to cast aside? I am not a mother now; I am only the Queen of the Sea Demon Clan!"

A faint, cold laugh echoed from the throne.

The two Sea Demon Elders looked on with admiration in their eyes.

...

The Ninth Princess’s prayers went unanswered.

After cultivating for several hours, Qin Feng suddenly exhaled softly and opened his eyes.

His aura had reached its peak. It felt as if, given the right catalyst, he could break through to the Twenty-eighth Layer of the Black Water Righteous Method at any moment.

He stretched his limbs, feeling the Black Water True Power surging within him, and a small smile formed on his lips.

Suddenly, he turned around.

THUMP. The Ninth Princess’s heart sank as she saw ’Yu Hua’ stand up and his gaze sweep in her direction. She knew she was in trouble.

Sure enough, Qin Feng took a few steps forward, muttering to himself, "That’s right, there was a gift. I wonder what the Sea Demon Clan prepared for me!"

In just a few strides, he arrived at the side of the bed.
