Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close
Chapter 477: Wife, Are You Satisfied With My Service?
Without a doubt, Ivy Sherwood had been devoured whole once again.
Quentin Blackwood didn’t consider himself an impulsive man in this regard. After all, he’d been single for nearly thirty years and had never shown much interest in women.
But the moment he was with Ivy, he wanted nothing more than to keep her tangled up with him in bed. She was like an addictive drug.
He loved every side of her. She had no idea how beautiful she was in the throes of passion, her eyes misty, her cheeks flushed, her long lashes trembling.
Sometimes she would hook her arms around him, holding him tight in a way that tugged at his very core. She was a little vixen who could steal his soul.
Every time Quentin tried to hold back, one look at Ivy was enough to make him cast his reason aside. ’Fuck self-control.’ He just wanted to possess this woman, completely and utterly, to make her his from the inside out, to leave his mark on every part of her.
Quentin had never thought of himself as a pervert, but when it came to Ivy, he was willing to be one.
He loved hearing her call him Uncle, but he loved it even more when she called him hubby.
When she was angry, however, she would call out his name fiercely: "Quentin Blackwood!"
Ivy’s glare was vicious—or at least, that’s what she thought.
In reality, she was just a disgruntled little fox who looked like she was about to bite but was only putting on an act.
Quentin didn’t like his own name, but when Ivy said it, he found it exceptionally pleasing to the ear.
"Wife, are you satisfied with my service?"
Ivy’s eyes widened in disbelief. This was the first time Quentin had ever called her ’wife’, wasn’t it?
"Who’s your wife? You’re so shameless!" Ivy’s face was beet red as she wrapped her arms around Quentin’s neck and bit down.
When Ivy was angry, she liked to bite Quentin’s neck.
And Quentin would dotingly let her, since her bites were never too hard or too soft.
Quentin picked up Ivy’s phone. "Did you manage to get your evidence just now?"
She hadn’t even had time to think about that. Then she heard Quentin say, "If you didn’t get a shot, why don’t we do it again so you can?"
"If you want to film it, film yourself. I have some shame, you know."
Ivy snatched her phone back and opened the gallery. Although she hadn’t filmed their lovemaking, she had taken quite a few pictures of Quentin kissing her earlier.
Ivy didn’t dare look for more than a second before quickly closing the album.
Only then did she notice the flood of messages on her phone.
There were messages from Nina Scott, from her big brother, and even Edie had messaged her to get in on the gossip.
"Nina asked me to have lunch with her," Ivy said, knowing Nina must have a million questions.
Quentin said, "I’ll drive you."
"This is between us girls. What are you going for? She might want to punch you if she sees you."
"I’ll just be your chauffeur," Quentin said. "I’ll drop you off and won’t interrupt your date."
He felt a little jealous as he said the word "date." He and Ivy had barely gone on any dates themselves.
He knew that in Ivy’s heart, Nina Scott was definitely more important than he was.
If forced to choose between spending time with him and spending time with Nina, Ivy would undoubtedly choose Nina.
The thought left a bitter taste in his mouth, but he couldn’t blame Nina. After all, she was always there for Ivy, whether she was happy or sad.
Ivy rubbed her sore lower back as she got out of bed. Because Quentin knew about the baby, he didn’t dare get too rough with her, so she wasn’t in any real discomfort.
After a few simple bites of breakfast, Quentin drove Ivy to meet Nina Scott.
Watching Ivy get out of the car and head toward Nina’s studio, Quentin couldn’t help but feel like he was personally handing his wife over to someone else.
Quentin called out to her, "Ivy."
Ivy paused. "What is it?"
Quentin got out of the car, strode over to her, bent down, and gave her neck a light bite as well.
It was less of a bite and more of him sucking a bright red hickey onto her skin.
"Quentin Blackwood, how am I supposed to face anyone like this?" Ivy could tell her neck must be red. She hadn’t brought any makeup, and her clothes couldn’t hide it.
"It looks good like this."
Quentin pulled her into his arms, looking reluctant to let her go. "Come back soon. I love you."
That random, out-of-the-blue "I love you" made Ivy’s heart feel as if it were soaked in honey, filling her with a gentle sweetness.
’How can this man be like this! How could she possibly stay mad at him now?’
A blush crept to the tips of her ears. "I... I know."
...
The news about the Blackwood Family was so sensational that even Ruby Sterling had heard about it, and she was growing anxious.
She had no idea how Ivy Sherwood had managed to get involved with Quentin Blackwood. If he was on Ivy’s side, then certain things would become very difficult to handle.
If she offended Quentin and ended up like the Blackwood Family... her company would be ruined, and she’d probably end up crippled. Ruby couldn’t imagine herself in a wheelchair.
She had no idea how to handle the tasks her godfather had given her. Lately, she didn’t even know where Ivy was.
Besides, if she captured Ivy for Charlie Rhodes and Quentin found out...
It was a dead end either way. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Just then, her phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, Ruby Sterling quickly answered.
"Hello, Claire."
"Mom, is all that stuff online about the Blackwood Family true?" Claire Sherwood asked bluntly.
"It is. The Blackwood Family is finished, and so is Caleb Blackwood. Such a massive family, gone just like that."
They were the top family in Lustre, a family of unparalleled prestige.
"I’m not talking about the Blackwood Family. I’m talking about Ivy and that Quentin Blackwood. Are they really together? And they had a childhood engagement?"
"That woman, Yvonne Summers, arranged it. I’m not too clear on the details. I had to stay hidden back then. Claire, darling, I have a real headache here. Your godfather has taken a liking to that Ivy and is demanding I get her for him. What am I supposed to do if Quentin comes after me for helping him?"
"That old man has his eyes on Ivy?" A smirk tugged at the corner of Claire’s lips. "Isn’t that a good thing?"
"How could that possibly be a good thing? I don’t know what to do."
"He’s the one who wants her, what does that have to do with you? It would be great if he actually did have his way with her. That woman’s no good anyway. She’s ugly but thinks she deserves the world."
Ever since they were children, Claire had known that Ivy was a nasty piece of work.
No matter how many times she had used Timothy Sherwood to frame Ivy for something, Ivy would never admit to it, even if she was forced to kneel all night or take a beating.
It was as if she had her own stubborn principles, and that, of all things, made her even more detestable.
Ivy’s looks were average, but for some reason, everyone around them seemed to love spending time with her.
Even the boy she had a crush on in middle school liked Ivy. The only way she could get people to stay away from Ivy was to smear her reputation by spreading rumors that she had a contagious disease or something similar.
But Claire was clever. She never did the dirty work herself. Her pathetic little sister, on the other hand, was a fool who believed everything she said and even spread the rumors for her.
It worked out perfectly. No one ever knew she was behind it, and she could maintain her good-girl image.
"But what if Quentin retaliates against me? I don’t dare provoke him," Ruby said, a little scared.
Claire said, "Just do it. Don’t worry. If Quentin really does come after you, I have my ways. He absolutely will not touch you."
"Really?"
"You don’t trust me? Your daughter is outstanding. The only reason Quentin would give Ivy the time of day is because he’s never met me." Claire was brimming with confidence.
She had been beautiful since she was a child, and now that she had blossomed, her face was truly stunning. She had a whole legion of suitors abroad.
"That’s true. My precious daughter is so exceptional. Only you are worthy of Quentin Blackwood. What does that make Ivy?" Ruby was immensely satisfied with her daughter, whom she had meticulously groomed since childhood.
"Alright, I’m hanging up. Just go ahead and do it. I’ll have your back."
"Thank you, my darling daughter! Mommy loves you!" This was the reassurance Ruby needed.
Claire hung up the phone and picked up a box nearby. She opened it, revealing a small Jade Pendant inside.
’Looks like a lot has happened recently. It’s been a while, and Ivy has really gotten bold, even managing to hook a man like Quentin Blackwood.’
’But so what?’
’Ever since they were kids, anything Claire Sherwood set her sights on had to be hers. She would do whatever it took to snatch it away from Ivy.’
’And that included people!’
