Chapter 155 - Christmas Morning

I groggily opened my eyes and yawned. The sun peeked through the blinds, slightly illuminating the room.

Despite sleeping for over ten hours, I still felt tired. I wanted to go straight back to sleep and sleep until tomorrow.

As I stared at the ceiling in silence, I seriously considered it before flipping over to my side.

Luna was quietly snoozing peacefully. We were sharing the purple blanket that Julia had gotten me for Christmas.

“Hehe…” I let out quietly and smiled.

Right…Let’s get up. I need to make breakfast.

Sitting up, I rubbed my eyes before getting out of bed and carefully making my way to the bathroom.

As I stepped into the hot bath water, I exhaled a deep breath of relief.

That energy potion Nathan wanted yesterday was feeling more and more desirable.

Today, I felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness. I’d finally be putting my bouncy potions—my heart-on the market. I’m 99% sure of the quality but who knows what the public will think.

Despite the uses that Martin and all of them thought of, the true purpose of the potion was simple: Making things bouncy. I didn’t specifically try to invent purposes or ways to use it.

“Haah…” I let out another breath before sinking the bottom half of my face into the water and blowing bubbles.

“When are you planning on putting the potions on the exchange?” Luna asked as she ate breakfast.

“12:00.” I answered.

“Oh, that’s pretty soon. Is everything ready? Can I help with anything?”

“It’s four hours away, plenty of time.” I said, “Yeah, after we finish eating can you help me bring all the boxes to the living room?”

“Of course,” Luna nodded, “Did you time it to release alongside the ALG update?”

Eh? That’s not out yet? I thought it’d release at midnight, but, they waited until the afternoon?

“I didn’t,” I shook my head, “Just a coincidence.”

“Mm,” Luna nodded, “How many are being sold?”

“Um…I think 5,000 or at least close to it? About a forth of that aren’t in the custom bottles though.”

Wow…Saying that number out loud puts it into perspective. If I sell all 5,000 potions, I’ll get 100,000,000 points! That’s $1,000,000! Hehe…I’m gonna be rich!

“Wow, yeah, you’ve put in a lot of work.” Luna said, “I’m proud of you.”

“Oh stawp~ I’m gonna blush.” I giggled, “Right, that does remind me.”

“Hm?”

I opened Tawer and posted a little something.

“I think it’s drunk?” I said uncertainly, “And, it’s, they’re not gonna poison you or anything.”

“Your organs won’t fail or anything?”

“Nope! The body’s properties are stronger. Though, if I were to use stronger materials, that can happen.” I said.

“Scary.” Luna said.

“Hehe.” I giggled.

I’m really thankful to the alchemy misters for confirming the effects, especially on a human or animal. I wouldn’t even know where to begin if I wanted to test that stuff out. At most, I’d be able to know the theory of what would happen.

Merry Christmas, everyone!! I don’t know if you all have this tradition, but, in my world, every year on December 25th, we decorate the house festively. Usually, there’s a Christmas tree and under that we’d put presents or gifts we’d give to loved ones or friends.

So, I’d like to give you all a gift. Unfortunately, I can’t exactly give it to you all in person, so, it’ll have to be digital!

I closed the gallery and smiled. That was something I had worked on in my free time. I’m liking the three days of rest every week more and more. If I had purely focused on bouncy potions, I’d have never had the time to draw that for them.

While I’m at it, I might as well greet everyone else.

“Hehehe…” I giggled evilly.

After that, I messaged the group chat with my friends. They had renamed it to ‘Bouncy Potion Waiting Room’

I had mailed my each of my friends a potion and a bouncy ball. I even used express shipping! Now, is it a little wrong of me to mail them a bouncy ball alongside it so they are sure to test it out? Not at all! Hehe!

I could have gave them the potions and bouncy ball in person, however, knowing them, they’re immediately going to test it out while I’m still there. Now, as fun as seeing their reactions in person would be, I also don’t want to get a noogie. The consequences would be dire.

[Cassian: Merry Christmas! Excited to finally see what happens to the bouncy ball!]

[Bryson: Merry Christmas! Would it be wrong of me to upload a video of it online?]

[Me: Definitely.]

[Colby: Merry Christmas. Are the potions resealable? Like can I use just a little and then use the rest later?]

[Me: Yep! The expiration date is in the years so, use as little as you’d like!]

Hehe…Now, I know I’m definitely gonna get cursed out in the group chat, but, it’s gonna be hilarious.

It’s a shame that Rumi won’t be able experience it. I’m expecting absolute chaos on the internet when I released these. Unless all 5,000 people who purchase one collectively decide to not expose what happens. But, let’s be real, that’s not happening. Plus, there’s gonna be people who stream it.

Oh well, as long as I can troll a lot of people, that’s fine.

I sent a few more texts out before turning off my phone. Long enough had passed that most of the alchemy misters had replied by now.

I smiled before closing the gallery. I’m really grateful to these misters for everything. It’s really a shame that we’re not in the same world, I really want to meet them. But alas, unless there’s a potion or something that can cross dimensions, that’ll never happen.

“Alright!” I said, standing up, “Can you help me?” I asked.

“Of course.”

It took way longer than I expected it would, but, eventually, we had brought out all the boxes of bouncy potions.

“That’s a lot.” Luna commented, staring at the more then a dozen boxes.

“Yeah, but! They’ll all be gone soon!” I said, glancing at the clock.

There were only three more hours until it was officially time to list them.

“How are you feeling?” Luna asked, holding my hand.

Oddly enough, the nerves I had felt this morning had mostly faded and were replaced with confidence. I know exactly how fun these potions are, and I know that they’re worth it.

Thinking about the time and effort I’ve put into them boosted my spirits.

I showed her a bright smile.

“Confident.” I said, “We’ll sell out within seconds.”

Luna returned the smile,

“I think so too. You’ve actually hyped them quite well.”

“I’m a marketing genius.” I shrugged.

“You just wanted to troll.” Luna said.

“Shh!” I pressed my finger to her lips.

“Hah,” Luna chuckled, “What more do you have to do before they’re ready to sell?” She asked.

“Well, just double checking and making sure that everything is properly sealed. Other then that, nothing.” I said.

“Can I help with that?”

“Yeah,” I nodded, “Basically, just tap the tops of each bottle and make sure they’re not loose.” I showed her an example by tapping one.

“I have another way.” She said.

“Huh?” I turned to her.

Luna closed her eyes.

Wait…Don’t tell me…

After several moments, she eventually opened her eyes and spoke,

“They’re all good, nothing that looked loose.”

“…Did you just see that with your trait?”

“Mhm.” Luna nodded.

“What a broken trait!” I exclaimed

“Now…Since you have free time, how about we watch a Christmas movie?” Luna asked.

“Pfft,” I chuckled, “Alright.”

…

And, three hours later. I listed everything on the exchange.
