World-saving Plan: The Only Savior
Chapter 2005 - 78: Demon Lord?
The Demon Clan, an immensely powerful and thriving race.
Much like the Spiritual Wisdom Clan, the Demon Clan isn’t strictly referring to a specific group, but rather a form of existence possessing qualities of the Demon Series, collectively called the Demon Clan.
Within the Demon Clan, there are Primordial Demons and Derivative Demons. Generally speaking, Primordial Demons are stronger, such as most demons in the Demon Realm belonging to the Primordial Demon Clan.
Conversely, Derivative Demons are typically less powerful. They usually originate from other races via special rituals or consumption of unique items. For instance, those fishmen that Zhang Xiaoman encountered in the Abyss, and the Rothschild family members who transformed after consuming the Magic Grass, all belong to the Derivative Demon Clan.
Therefore, within such a massive system as the Demon Clan, the petty grievances between Zhang Xiaoman and them practically count for nothing. At least in the eyes of this Demon Lord, it shouldn’t even qualify for a notable position.
In short, they simply don’t care.
Putting himself in their shoes, now that Zhang Xiaoman is the Star Alliance Master, the largest race under his command is the Spiritual Wisdom Clan.
If one day, a member from a different faction of the Spiritual Wisdom Clan intruded upon another race’s planet, committing mass slaughter, only to get wiped out by them, would Zhang Xiaoman intervene? Would he stand up for this person or harbor resentment against that race, listing their experts among his enemies?
Of course not.
He’s not that idle.
This kind of matter may be handled by the grassroots rulers within the clan, but at his level, it’s simply unnecessary to intervene—their realms are no longer comparable.
Obviously, this is just his self-imposition of a guess, as for what the white-clothed woman before him truly thinks, he dare not guarantee.
But at least from the current situation, things have not developed in the worst direction.
Zhang Xiaoman currently doesn’t quite know how to handle the scenario before him, having consistently treated the Demon Lord as an adversary, as the ultimate boss, only to have them tell him face-to-face that they actually have no reason to fight, and might even be aligned.
The Demon Lord is a woman, her identity was once Ni Yang’s master, her relationship with Ni Yang, his relationship with Ni Yang... Looking at it strictly speaking, she seemingly accounts as his... grandmaster?
Zhang Xiaoman was in chaos, the turn of events had completely exceeded his expectations, leaving him feeling rather fantastical.
Naturally, for the Demon Lord not to be an enemy, it is certainly positive news; who would want to be at odds with such an existence, especially when they’ve yet to fully mature?
Beside him, Ni Yang was also stunned for quite a while, only now did it gradually grasp the situation.
Unlike Zhang Xiaoman, regarding the Demon Clan, aside from events later on the Divine Ancient Continent, Ni Yang hadn’t had much interaction. Strictly speaking, Ni Yang counts as neutral, his understanding of the Demon Clan even less than an average Star Alliance member.
Now Ni Yang was also part of the New Alliance, naturally standing united with Zhang Xiaoman posed no issues.
However, after the conversation just now, Ni Yang also understood one thing, that is, its Zizi turned out to be the Demon Lord that Zhang Xiaoman had always mentioned.
"Zizi, are you the Demon Lord? So according to this, could the Primordial Heavenly Emperor also be you? Was it you who opened the gateway to this universe? No wonder you suddenly disappeared back then, did you come here to be the boss?"
Ni Yang reacted, if according to its previous joint deductions with Zhang Xiaoman, the Primordial Heavenly Emperor may very well be the Demon Lord herself, and now Zizi admitted herself to be the Demon Lord, isn’t she then that legendary Primordial Heavenly Emperor?
Ni Yang’s complexion kept changing.
"No, no, how could you be the Primordial Heavenly Emperor? When you were with me back then, I had even heard of the Primordial Heavenly Emperor battling an Outer Realm Demon God in the Immortal Realm, you shouldn’t be him..."
Ni Yang seemed to recall something, shaking its head furiously.
The white-clothed woman maintained an expression of calm and tranquility while watching them, her emotions hadn’t fluctuated much throughout.
However, upon hearing Ni Yang’s words, her gaze involuntarily shifted slightly, Zhang Xiaoman who had been carefully observing her expressions immediately captured a hint of information, not daring to believe it, because from the Demon Lord’s eyes he saw a trace of nostalgia and tenderness.
The scene descended into silence for a moment, Zhang Xiaoman and Ni Yang were awaiting an answer from the white-clothed woman, the dead silent environment in the Chaotic Void gave a feeling of the world’s nonexistence. If not for the thoughts binding to her body constantly absorbing her Spiritual Power, there would be not even the slightest ripple in the scene.
Finally, time passed unknowingly, the woman opened her mouth slowly, breaking the silence.
Yet what she said next made Zhang Xiaoman and Ni Yang’s faces change again.
"You’ve thought of quite a bit, only... When did I say I was the Demon Lord?"
"What?"
Zhang Xiaoman and Ni Yang were stupefied, especially the former, feeling as if he might have misheard earlier, with everything evidently aligning in terms of evidence and causality, so how in the world could she actually have said these words.
