Chapter 218: Finally Home! Maia, Hurry, We Don’t Have Much Time ~

With Xuexue trotting gently on the cobblestone street and the wind blowing my hair, I looked at everything around me.

At a height of a little more than three meters one can feel the difference in the viewing angle that I have had from the seat of a magical-motor vehicle.

Respectfully following the traffic speed without invading other lanes, I was advancing with my back straight and my forehead raised.

But after some time and with the cold wind of the season, I finally opted to lie down on Xuexue.

I am team cold. I prefer it to heat, but that does not mean I like to freeze. I like the cold because I have the option to bundle up and feel comfortable.

It is a shame that, even though the human city is very friendly with nature, at this time of year the trees are already dressed in autumn colors and the leaves fall to the ground.

After about fifteen minutes following the main road I arrived at the river bridge.

This river is named the River of the Right Shield Mountain.

This river has protective laws since it is the main source of fresh water for the city and feeds the artificial lake that surrounds the royal castle.

Although apparently further down the river, to the south and outside the city, there are beaches used for tourism where one can swim in the river and play in its fresh waters.

The stone bridge is very wide and I can cross with Xuexue without problems.

On each side of the street there are large mansion-style houses like villas and chalets with wide gardens and high fences of iron and wood.

As always there are very few people on the street and I can only see people heading toward the villas that the Corinth family uses for housing scholarship students.

Another couple of minutes and I finally arrived at the entrance of my house. Calculating the time it took me, perhaps I was slower than Vasi vehicle. Although the idea of taking a shortcut through other streets to arrive more directly crossed my mind, I worried about getting lost.

Despite having lived in this city for more than fourteen years I do not know even half of it in its entirety.

While Xuexue approaches the large steel gate of my house, I was thinking whether to shout or write a letter to notify them to open the gate, but the gate itself opened on its own.

Giving Xuexue some pats so she would not stop and would enter through the gate, I could see Aunt Odalis standing at the double door of the house and next to her was Maia.

"Aunt Odalis! How did you know I was going to arrive right now? You have not been waiting since before sunrise, right? ~ "

I jumped off Xuexue and landed on the stone path to then trot and hug the middle-aged woman who serves as the butler of my family.

"Welcome home, young master Vremya. You have grown more ~ "

Odalis received me with her arms and hugged me softly and politely. Although I know she says I grew just to cheer me up, it is obvious that I have not grown at all.

While in Odalis arms my face stays exactly in the same place as always, feeling the softness of her chest on my cheeks.

Aunt Odalis is tall, a little shorter than my mother and my aunt Kaleria, but tall.

After separating from Odalis, I turned and gave a strong hug to Maia who was nearby.

Unlike Odalis, with Maia my cheeks stay right next to hers allowing me to rub against her well.

Unlike the familiar, soft and maternal scent of Odalis, Maia’s aroma is very youthful and floral.

After a week I really missed these familiar scents a lot.

After releasing a shy and embarrassed Maia with a blushing face, I looked toward a large tree to my right and could see a shadow hidden behind the thick trunk of the tree.

Aunt Odalis seemed to follow my gaze but said nothing.

"Amalia just sent a letter saying that you had just arrived at the academy and that you would not take long to get home. By the way, she says that your older sister, the young miss, is a little angry because you did not go to see her after arriving at the academy."

"Oh~, I had planned to go, but I did not want to bother her if Vasi is busy..." I could only say that.

"But it is not only Xuexue, there are also these three little ones and they will want to enter my room to sleep ~ " I said while expelling Ling, Yue and Bing from the Reminiscence Room.

The moment the three kittys came out they started looking around and running and sniffing.

Yue, the smallest, ran until she was between Xuexue front legs. Ling stayed running around me and sniffing Odalis and Maia. On the other hand Bing simply ran toward the flowers and bushes in the front garden of the house.

"Vremya, four Vorshaan. Do you know how big they will be? More than your room, the house will not be enough... Forget it, I will not be in charge of adjusting your room." Odalis looked at the three little ones and then at Xuexue and shook her head. Then, with a sigh, she accepted to modify my room.

"Hehehe~ Thank you Aunt Odalis. You are the best. If I ask mom she might refuse~. I will go to my room to change. Xuexue, you can explore the house as you like and do not leave the walls of the house!" My mother is not home or she would have already come out. It seems that only Maia and Odalis are at home.

And after that I gave instructions to Xuexue.

"Hehehe~. Fine, Maia help Vremya carry his backpack. I will prepare a meal for your Vorshaans. Do not take too long~ "

Odalis, after saying this last thing, turned around as if nothing and entered the house.

"Vrem... Let me help you." Maia said shyly and extended her hands to take my backpack.

But Maia’s scent starts to make my heart itch.

Taking her hands directly with mine I stopped her and pulled her with me to enter the house.

"Leave it, you heard, we do not have much time to go down to eat. Follow me quickly!"

Collecting pollen can wait. There is another fuel tank that also needs to be refilled and that has suffered from drought for a week.

Without letting go of Maia’s left hand, I ran with her to the stairs to then go up two at a time and run toward the right wing and quickly push the door of my room with my left hand.
