Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 927 - 419: Salos’s Submission

Salos’s heart was filled with struggle and conflict.

He knew well that the current situation was extremely unfavorable for him, and if he didn’t accept David’s proposal, he might face a much more miserable end.

However, as a proud wizard, he couldn’t accept a fate as someone else’s servant.

His gaze swept back and forth between David, Shuili, and Fire Dance, trying to find a chance to escape.

“David, do you think this will make me yield?”

Salos’s voice, though weak, revealed determination and defiance, “I, Salos, have pursued power all my life, never bowing to anyone!”

Upon hearing this, a trace of coldness flickered in David’s eyes.

He slowly raised his right hand, palm facing Salos, and that contract mark began to glow more brilliantly, with a powerful pressure descending upon Salos.

Salos felt an invisible force attempting to invade his consciousness, trying to control his thoughts.

“Salos, stop struggling.” David’s voice was cold and firm, “Your power may be strong, but it’s insignificant before me. Accepting the contract is your only way out.”

Salos clenched his teeth, fully resisting the force invading his consciousness.

His eyes were bloodshot with pain, and his body trembled slightly from the struggle.

However, no matter how hard he tried, the force seemed to be gradually increasing, making it increasingly unbearable.

Just then, a sudden energy wave broke the calm of the battlefield.

The master of the Endless Sea appeared in mid-air, clad in a black robe, his face hidden in the shadow of a hood, yet his eyes were as deep and mysterious as an abyss.

“David, can you spare Salos for my sake?”

David’s gaze instantly turned sharp as he looked up at the mysterious master of the Endless Sea in the air, his voice filled with undeniable firmness:

“Your sake doesn’t count for much here. Salos has violated the Chaos Realm’s boundaries; his ambition and actions have brought great disaster to the Endless Sea and the Chaos Realm. I cannot overlook such crimes for anyone’s sake.”

The master of the Endless Sea was slightly taken aback, seemingly not expecting David to reject his request so directly.

He remained silent for a moment, then said in a low, powerful voice, “David, I understand your position, but Salos is a member of my Endless Sea, and his fate should be mine to decide. I hope you can give me face, let me handle this personally.”

David let out a cold laugh and shook his head: “Master of the Endless Sea, perhaps in the Endless Sea, your authority is unquestionable, but here, you do not have such power. Salos’s actions have gone beyond personal grievances, threatening the safety of the entire Chaos Realm. I cannot let you take him away, nor can I let you handle this matter privately.”

A hint of anger flashed in the master of the Endless Sea’s eyes, but he quickly controlled his emotions.

He slowly descended to the ground, standing face to face with David, and the atmosphere between them instantly became tense and oppressive.

“David, do you really want to oppose me?” The master of the Endless Sea’s voice was low and filled with threat, “Don’t forget, my Endless Sea’s power is not something you can underestimate.”

David did not back down. He straightened his back, his gaze steadfastly meeting the master of the Endless Sea’s eyes: “I’ve never intended to be your enemy, but neither will I back down out of fear. Salos must pay for his actions; this is the rule of the Chaos Realm and a necessary means to maintain peace and justice.”

“And not just Salos, your Endless Sea must also pay the price.”

David’s words struck like a heavy hammer on the heart of the master of the Endless Sea, and the surrounding air seemed to freeze, with only the sound of their breathing audible.

The master of the Endless Sea’s expression changed slightly; he didn’t expect David to direct his accusation at the entire Endless Sea.

He took a deep breath, striving to calm his inner turmoil, his voice low yet tinged with unmistakable strength: “David, isn’t your declaration too severe? The Endless Sea and the Chaos Realm have always coexisted peacefully. How can you claim the entire Endless Sea should pay for Salos’s mistake?”

David’s voice echoed across the empty battlefield, each word like a hammer blow to the heart of the master of the Endless Sea.

“Salos’s actions are just the tip of the iceberg. The recent turmoil and unease within the Endless Sea have already raised the Chaos Realm’s vigilance. Your internal power struggles and external expansion ambitions have already crossed the line.”

The master of the Endless Sea’s face grew more somber; he realized the situation before him was far more complex and severe than he had imagined.

He thought that with his status in the Endless Sea, he could easily resolve this crisis, but David’s attitude indicated that this was not just a simple matter of personal grievances.

“David, perhaps you’ve misunderstood the intentions of the Endless Sea.” The master of the Endless Sea tried to argue, “We pursue the balance of power and order, not chaos and conquest. Salos’s actions do not represent the entire Endless Sea.”

However, David was not persuaded.

He gave a cold smile and said, “Misunderstanding? Perhaps. But the facts are evident: some of the Endless Sea’s actions have already threatened the safety of the Chaos Realm. As a Guardian of the Chaos Realm, I am responsible for stopping all this.”

With that, David suddenly moved, like a flash of lightning, charging toward the master of the Endless Sea.
