Wizard: Stronger through Marriage
Chapter 1395: Prelude to Hijacking
Sofia fixed her gaze, and saw a vast phantom woven from pure Star Core Energy, its center blazing with the radiance of Decrees.
“The Observer Mother Star… the legendary place where Star Cores are stabilized. If this planet is seized, the order of the multiverse will undergo a tremendous upheaval.”
Annie swiftly channeled Energy through her Magic Staff, further purifying the Prism data. “We’ve received abnormal frequencies from the magic tides around the Mother Star. That means the Star Core wasn’t destroyed, but has entered some kind of dormant state.”
Reina gently clasped the elemental scepter; Flame and Frost entwined and whirled about her, and that Elemental Storm gradually settled into calm.
“The recovery of the magic tides is a crucial sign of the Star Core’s self-repair. We can use this to stabilize the barriers of multiversal order.”
Liya’s face softened into a relieved smile. She whispered the Life Decree, pouring Energy into each of their bodies. “This means our efforts weren’t in vain. The realms still have hope of continuing to flourish.”
In that moment, though the squad members’ faces were etched with fatigue, their eyes shone with resolve and hope.
They knew this was only one part of the battle, yet they had already taken a step of vital importance.
David slowly closed his eyes, infusing his Spiritual Power into the data fragments cradled in his arms.
The scarlet-gold holy sigils within him flared brilliantly, as though forging a road toward new life.
His lips parted slightly. “We will embark on a journey to seek the Observer Mother Star. That is the key to ending the Reset Virus Project and reshaping the multiverse’s future.”
Sofia said gravely, “I will use the phantoms of the Shadow Forest to continuously track enemy movements, leaving no room for any latent threat to take advantage.”
Annie adjusted the Runes on her Magic Staff. “I’ll keep reinforcing the Purification Array, boosting program efficiency to prevent the virus from erupting again.”
Reina nodded with solemnity. “The Power of Elements will become a vital bulwark guarding multiversal balance. I’ll give everything I have.”
Liya smiled, steadfast. “The Life Decree will safeguard everyone’s body and mind. No matter how ferocious the storm, we will move forward hand in hand.”
At that instant, the rivers of data in the void slowly calmed, no longer surging in wild torrents;
The fringes of the Star Core flared with steady, luminous radiance, like the hottest strand of light before dawn.
From afar came a muffled voice, sent by the communication Array dispatched by the Wizard Alliance delegation.
They had once protested incessantly over the tremors in the Divine Kingdom, yet now, as the magic tides gradually steadied, they fell temporarily silent.
David’s gaze was unwavering. With a sweep of his hand he recalled the Prism shards, briefly composed his consciousness, then sent out a mental command: “Report our current progress to the Wizard Alliance. Request the suspension of all hostile actions and full support for the restoration of multiversal order.”
Sofia’s expression eased slightly. “A softened stance from the Alliance is a major boon for us. More forces will join the battles to come.”
Annie’s lips also curved into a slight smile. “Mechanical Divinity and Magic Power are beginning to fuse. This will help us unravel deeper layers of the informational enigma.”
Reina lifted her head to the sky. The sunlight piercing the mottled cloud banks grew ever more dazzling, like the light of newborn hope for the multiverse.
Liya prayed softly, pouring the blessings in her heart into the Life Decree. “As long as we hold fast to our faith, the realms shall see true peace and prosperity.”
The storm would pass in the end, and they now stood before the gate of renewal, ready to meet the boundless possibilities of the future—
“Let us press on, and bring an undying dawn to the multiverse!” David proclaimed in a ringing voice. Clad in scarlet-gold holy-sigil Armor, he shone in the morning light like reborn Flame.
All answered in unison, their voices echoing through the empty valley like a solemn oath.
In the distance, the storm’s lingering reverberations slowly faded, and the multiverse was gently drawing back from the brink of annihilation toward calm.
Yet beyond the light, a more eldritch and perilous Shadow was quietly spreading.
Hilvia moved alone, her figure slipping through a dim forest like a Ghost.
Mist coiled among the trees; the trunks were warped and twisted, mottled with dark red patches as if corroded.
Her face was pale, and her eyes carried a faint, restless struggle.
Her hands clutched tightly at the ancient Protective Talisman on her chest—that was her only link to her bloodline of Divinity.
“Why do I feel so chaotic?” she murmured, her voice trembling yet tinged with stubbornness. “This power… is not one I know… It’s like a beast that has lurked for ages, now stirring restlessly inside me.”
Suddenly, a gust of bone-chilling wind swept in from all directions. The leaves in the forest shivered incessantly as though torn by an invisible giant hand.
Hilvia jerked around. A mass of black phantom leaped from the depths of the Shadow—that was the leader of Eclipsed Moon, the “Shadow Curse.”
His black-robed form seemed to flicker in and out of existence, every inch of his skin inlaid with dark-golden lines, each inscribed with eerie, flickering Runes.
Those eyes of his, fathomless and bottomless, as if able to devour light and hope alike, locked onto Hilvia with the cold, razor focus of a Falcon on its prey.
“I’ve finally found you.” Shadow Curse’s voice was low and rasping, yet carried a harrowing, ill-omened force. “The spark of fallen Divinity has awakened within you. With the proper guidance, it will become a power that annihilates and remakes new life.”
Hilvia’s heart lurched violently. She tried to break free, but felt a surge of alien Energy within her, like iron chains binding her every motion.
“No… I will not become your new spore-host!” she roared, yet her cry was swiftly swallowed by the invasive chill.
The air warped abruptly; the Earth began to quake.
A jet-black fissure split open at the edge of the forest like a torn wound—that was the gate to the Abyssal Rift. From it poured countless corrosive, freezing breaths, rendering the surroundings deathly still and cold.
