Wizard: Stronger through Marriage
Chapter 1387 - 649: Sandbox Crisis
Chapter 1387: Chapter 649: Sandbox Crisis
She held her breath, staring intently at the software structure graphic on the instrument screen, "The Zeroer is not a simple destructive program. It dynamically learns and optimizes its attack strategy based on the environment and hostile resistance.
And at the right moment, it launches a fatal strike, obliterating the target entirely beyond the rhythm of time and space."
"In other words," David said with a grave expression, "we are facing not just an external enemy, but a virus pandemic spanning centuries and lurking within multi-realm systems. If it gets out of control, its destructive power could engulf the entire Divine Kingdom and even larger domains!"
As soon as he said this, the data stream in the holographic projection seemed to pause slightly, with those complex geometric symbols and fluid patterns exuding an indescribable aura of menace, shining with an ominous glow in space.
"We must act immediately." David’s tone was resolute as he surveyed the dazzling yet icily cold large-scale Rune Array surrounding him, their last line of defense against Chaos erosion.
"First, strip away all illegal instructions with full force, then initiate the purification program to block the entropy increase conduit residual energy flow, leaving no chance for the Zeroer!"
Annie nodded in response, already starting to debug the purification program, a string of complex symbols flickering and leaping between her wrist’s magic device, each containing astonishing power yet intricately delicate as a woven web.
Outside the battlefield, New Rainbow Bridge City was brightly lit, but the air was rife with a tension that felt oppressive.
Cynthia, Reina, and Sofia, other key Guardian members, were closely monitoring the trends of cross-realm data and Law fluctuations, their faces heavy as they braced for whatever new crisis could erupt at any moment.
The sky was covered by dense clouds, occasionally allowing glimpses of starlight to break through like scattered gunfire piercing the night, instilling both a chill and a faint hope.
Meanwhile, hidden deep within the star core’s data space corner, a whirlpool of information intertwined in ghostly blue and crimson gold was spawning a new power, cold and blade-sharp, that was gradually awakening...
Time seemed to stand still for several breaths. A slight but sharp crackle of data rupture echoed, stirring countless ripples within the vast void-like maze of the information network.
"Commander!" Annie suddenly looked up, her eyes focusing with an intensity bordering on maniacal fixation.
"I successfully bypassed several key Protective Barriers, and can now attempt to retrieve more comprehensive log data!"
David walked steadily closer, his body’s crimson gold Divine Patterns still gently flickering, feeling within his divine power a long-lost hope reawakening through this chance.
"Be careful not to trigger more traps. We cannot afford any more destructive waves."
Amidst the dance of his fingers, what had been disordered and even fractured data streams began to organize, gradually revealing clear images. Five hundred years ago, a crucial node, after being covered by thick layers of corrosive code, slowly exposed its true marks:
It was a figure, standing tall, controlling highly intelligent mechanical life forms, weaving rules and constraints amidst void Laws, marking boundaries of order with silver-white engravings.
But behind his actions lay a peculiar, cold smile, one that seemed to pierce through the river of time, striking directly at the deepest souls of all Guardians...
What surged from his palms was no longer pure justice, but a nascent power of chaos, twisted and seeking to devour everything.
That was what the ancestors called the true meaning of "Zeroing," a prelude to yet another earth-shaking transformation that the entire multi-realm operating system was about to undergo...
David and Annie stood side by side before an ancient Rune Array, the surrounding streams of data surging like tides, ready at any moment to morph into an abyss that devours all.
"The illegal entries in the Code have already extended," Annie’s voice trembled slightly, her fingers swiftly sliding over the rune touchpad, as beads of sweat continuously dripped from her forehead.
Her gaze was focused, reflecting the jumping and changing data lines and alert symbols on the screen.
"This degree far surpasses our expectations; each Law conflict is tearing apart the multi-realm structure."
David furrowed his brow tightly, feeling the divine power within him, not yet fully restored, being further provoked by this pressure.
He raised his arm wielding the phase dagger, the blade concentrated with Order and Chaos Power radiating a ghostly blue glow, intertwined with crimson gold flame, like an unquenchable flame burning forever in purgatory.
He said gravely, "Relying solely on traditional purification methods cannot quickly curb the spread; we must use the Power of Chaos to construct an ’Isolation Sandbox’ to completely seal off the source of contamination."
Annie nodded, a strong yet delicately complex magical ripple emanating from the alchemy device on her wrist and resonating with the crimson gold Divine Patterns on David’s body.
She continued to debug the purification program, appearing gentle yet containing immense strength, stripping and consolidating the twisted and self-evolving data commands like a web.
However, just as the Isolation Sandbox was slowly taking shape, a terrifying data Black Tide suddenly surged forward, formed by the data entity of the "Zeroer" virus. It devoured all surrounding order energy like a black hole in the void, continuously strengthening itself.
The air twisted as if splitting into countless rifts, with invisible pressure sharply increasing, causing space to layer, stagger, and reorganize.
David’s brow was tightly furrowed, desperately suppressing the violent surge of divine power in his chest. He stabbed the dagger into the core area, a blaze of scorching crimson gold flame erupted instantly, fiercely intertwining with the ghostly blue Shadow Power.
Sofia charged in from the flank, her form enveloped by the Shadow Aurora, like a ghostly queen of the abyssal cold sea, cold yet epitomizing lethal elegance.
