Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree

Chapter 1141: Ten Years Later, Demigod Level

The tenth winter arrived silently.

The Central Islands have silver-blue daylight all year round, without real seasons, but Duke could feel the air getting colder through the very narrow vent in the corridor outside the Magic Potion Laboratory.

He had just emerged from a fifteen-day retreat, his stubble had grown out, and he had lost some weight.

As he walked to the dormitory door, he suddenly stopped.

There were several letters sealed with various colors of wax stacked there, some from Black Sail, some from the Thorn Holy Tower, and some from the Florence Continent.

He didn’t rush to open them. Instead, he went inside, changed into clean clothes, drank half a pot of warm water, and then sat by the desk to read them one by one.

There was no urgent matter in the letters. Vivian wrote that a third Defense Witch Array would be built on the Florence Continent before spring; the site and materials were ready, just waiting for him to return and take a look someday.

The letter from Black Sail was even shorter, Shari just mentioned that Black Sail had nothing recent of concern, so he didn’t need to worry.

Leon, with his typical flamboyant handwriting, wrote half a page of casual talk, saying his Holy Silver Battle Body had new changes and asked when Duke would come out to spar with him.

After reading the letters, Duke felt strangely calm.

He refolded the letter paper and put it back in the drawer, then walked to the bathroom and turned on the hot water.

In the few breaths as the steam rose, he suddenly had a premonition, like after a long journey, he lifted his head and saw the wall at the end.

His retreats were becoming longer and more frequent.

The most recent entry into the Light God Court had Duke sitting cross-legged on the grass beside the World Tree for nearly ten days.

The conflict between the Life Rules and the Six-Color Divine Light had almost been reconciled, the seven rules in the Spiritual Sea like seven rivers destined to converge into one sea.

He could feel that the power of those Divine Fragments was no longer external energy he needed to maintain deliberately. They had become part of his rules, like seven fully absorbed seeds.

That night, Duke entered the Light God Court once again.

The trunk of the World Tree now towered over a hundred meters.

Its trunk so thick it would take over a dozen people to encircle it, rising from the Spring of Life, its canopy like a deep green cloud suspended low in the sky, too vast to see in its entirety.

Fine aerial roots dangling between the leaves swayed gently in the wind, which was the airflow the giant tree brought while breathing.

He sat by the Spring of Life, facing the luxuriant World Tree, and slowly closed his eyes.

Seven rules simultaneously emerged deep within the Spiritual Sea: dark red, earth yellow, pale blue, azure, light gold, ink black, and that extremely difficult-to-define vibrant green light of life.

They circulated, collided, and fused within him, no longer requiring him to suppress or guide them manually.

As light rose from his palm, Duke slightly lowered his head and saw a color never seen before slowly taking shape in his hand.

Like a rainbow, as if a bridge suspended in the sky after rain, and like a ball of flowing rainbow light molded into a pearl.

Each strand of light came to life, slowly spinning in the palm of his hand, like seven snakes biting their own tails.

Duke gently clenched his hand, and the seven-color light spilled between his fingers, yet obediently crawled back up along his arm into his sleeve, finally sinking back near the heart.

He knew the Seven-Color Divine Light had formed.

And at that moment, he felt the seven rivers in his Spiritual Sea simultaneously burst through a gate.

They almost boiled at the same time, like seven overlapping roars rising from the very depths of consciousness far and deep.

In Duke’s vision, the World Tree suddenly shone, vibrant green light shooting up from its canopy, illuminating the entire sky of the Divine Court with flowing jade green.

Those words floated at the edge of his consciousness, like leaves slowly surfacing from underwater. Following were the second line, the third line.

With his eyes closed, Duke felt like his body was being washed by seven warm rivers at once, every inch of bone, every magic circulation was swelling and growing.

He could clearly feel his Spiritual Power rising like the tide, and at last surpassing the water level it had been stuck at many times before.

The seven rule branches simultaneously expanded, like seven ancient trees sprouting in spring, their roots plunged into the depths of the Spiritual Sea.

Not knowing how long he sat in that light, Duke slowly opened his eyes as everything settled down.

The World Tree remained, but the leaves on the tree were brighter than when he had first entered, as if they shared a bit of his overflowing seven-color light.

With a thought, the Skill Tree in the Spiritual Sea revealed the attribute panel.

In ten years, his physique had grown considerably, mostly accumulated naturally through the practice of the Elemental Holy Body.

In terms of Spiritual Power, the increase was significant, from 657 to 793, more than a hundred points.
