Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree
Chapter 1133: Points Auction
Chapter 1133: Chapter 909: Points Auction
Duke glanced at the brief description of the fragment on the list, the core of a Level 5 Abyss Demon, a rare item that could entice large organizations even if just a fragment on the Wizard Plane.
And Leon practiced the Holy Silver Breathing Technique, which was deeply tied to his personal foundational heritage, making it extremely important to him.
Edmond spoke up at this time, his tone carrying a bit of helplessness: “I don’t have a lot of points, so I won’t compete with you for those big items. I plan to see if there are any inconspicuous items within my price range in the middle of the auction, and grab some useful ones.” He paused and added, “If you need me to help watch anyone in secret, I can keep an extra eye out.”
Morris then spoke up: “Frost Giant Dragon, complete dragon bones.”
The Necromancy Spell System Morris practiced was already suited for integration with dragon bones, not to mention the Frost Giant Dragon, a top-tier material long extinct on the Wizard Plane.
If he could secure the complete dragon bones on the fourth floor, Morris would have another genuine trump card.
This small team gathered together, and almost everything each person wanted could be found in the auction list.
…
The auction was held in the Starlight Hall on the west wing of Morning Star Manor. Duke and the others followed the Elf Attendant through one archway after another, eventually stepping into a hall paved with crystal and Moonstone.
The ceiling was extremely high, crafted into a translucent arc, looking up, it was as if covered by a layer of extremely thin and bright star curtain.
Countless small light points were embedded in the star curtain, flickering gently with the airflow, enveloping the entire hall in a bluish and soft glow.
Hundreds of silver lamps hung suspended in the air, without flames, yet illuminating every seat warmly and distinctly.
There were dozens of independent curved seats arranged in the hall, each with a small white jade stone table in front, featuring iced fruit wine, several exquisite snacks, and a Silver Bell engraved with the guest number.
Elf Attendants walked barefoot between them, their steps almost inaudible.
On either side, high up, stood an Elf Band, one strumming a harp, another blowing a wooden pipe, the music neither loud nor intrusive, yet seemed to fill the entire hall.
Noah stood on a crescent-shaped gold platform at the front, a door shrouded in silver mist behind him.
Once everyone had arrived, he raised his hand slightly, and the music gradually stopped.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the auction starts now.” His voice wasn’t loud, but each word was delivered steadily, “Tonight is the first session, bidding is in open price, settled by points. After each auction item is sold, Morning Star Manor will be responsible for shipping it to your rooms. Now, the first item.”
Noah turned sideways, the silver mist behind him dispersed, and two Elf Attendants pushed out a black jade cart.
On the cart was the first auction item, a semi-transparent gray mineral.
Duke didn’t pay much attention, leaning back on his chair, his gaze sweeping across the hall.
Valentine and Audric sat on the forward side, a few empty seats between them, neither looking at the other.
Jonathan sat in another area, back straight as if attending a parade.
Annabelle Bryan sat not far from Duke and the others, her silver hair coiled into a bun, a faint, unchanged smile resting on her face.
Rodrick sat with arms crossed in the side row, his expression sour.
Helena didn’t come, which surprised Duke a bit, seemingly the first night didn’t have anything she needed.
After the auction began, the first few items weren’t considered top tier, with several Wizards with fewer points successively bidding a few times.
Rodrick bid on a Heart Core of a Flesh Demon; no one competed with him, and the closing price wasn’t high.
Subsequently, Noah’s voice sounded again: “Next item, Blazing Dragon Heart Marrow. Taken from the heart marrow of an Ancient Dragon exiled to the Infernal Earth Core, naturally solidifying over seven hundred years, still retaining the initial bloodline’s living flame. Can awaken bloodline potential, forge anew the bones and heart veins of dragon or fire dragon Bloodline Mages, especially suitable for those with High-tier Bloodlines.”
Two Elf Attendants brought forward a sealed transparent box.
Inside the box, a dark red almost black object was gently bound in the center by several silver threads, its surface still faintly pulsing like a miniaturized living heart.
Duke saw Valentine suddenly straighten his back, Audric also stared intently at the box.
The starting price was five hundred thousand points, Valentine barely waited for anyone to bid before raising his card.
Audric hesitated for a moment and, gritting his teeth, raised his card as well.
Valentine sneered and raised again.
The two bid back and forth a few rounds, but Audric soon showed weakness.
He only had over two million points, and by the time it reached two million, he couldn’t raise for another increase.
The hall fell silent for a moment, with no more bids.
Valentine lounged back with the gesture of a victorious warrior, glanced sideways at Audric, the corner of his mouth curling, “I told you, you don’t belong here.”
Audric’s face turned ashen, turning his head without a word.
Vera didn’t pay attention to the silent brotherly battle; she was waiting all along.
When Noah read out the name of Ancient Vine Marrow, her fingers on her knees slightly clenched.
The attendant brought up a transparent crystal bottle, the liquid inside was a very deep green, halfway between juice and flowing light, with occasionally a few silver shiny stripes floating up from the bottom and slowly dispersing.
Duke saw Vera take a very light breath.
The starting price was one million points.
Jonathan raised his card first, one million two hundred thousand.
Annabelle smiled and followed suit, one million four hundred thousand.
