Chapter 996: Chapter 350: Winterfort Academy (Double-Length Chapter) (Part 2)

In their confrontation with the Black Flame Cult, the middle and low-level barbarian warriors did not have an advantage in the battle.

But if there was the blessing of a large number of Radiant Stone weapons, the situation would be completely different.

Seeing this scene, the barbarian girl Lagaray looked at Rein with even softer eyes.

However, when it came to the mounts, Rein was stumped again.

The twenty elite members supported by the Norton Tribe had Frost Wolf mounts and knew the location of Winterfort Academy well, so they didn’t need Lagaray to guide them and could arrive later.

This was the problem: Rein had originally brought Anna and Merita, riding the Blood Feathered Horned Eagle all the way here.

Now, there was Lagaray as well.

However, the barbarian girl was not anxious at all and looked at Rein with a smile.

“Merita, why don’t you sit in front of me.” Fortunately, Anna helped Rein out of his predicament.

“Oh, okay, Miss Anna.” Merita, aware of the close relationship between the two women and Rein, nodded helplessly and obediently sat at the very front.

Behind her, in sequence, were Anna, Rein, and Lagaray.

Fortunately, all three were petite, and with Rein having taken down the Radiant Bar, this addition and subtraction didn’t make the Blood Feather seem particularly burdened.

After several hours of flight, the distant ice plains came into view before everyone’s eyes.

Amidst the snow-covered frozen ground, a towering white tower stood silently, with a smattering of low houses vaguely dotting the surroundings.

“Is this Winterfort Academy?” Anna curiously surveyed around.

“Yes, Miss Anna. This is Winterfort Academy, the strongest wizard school in the Northland. We mainly recruit Ice Mages, but because they are rare, we also take in a small number of other mages, but the overall number is not large.”

From afar, Rein saw the white Wizard Tower standing like a ground spike rising from the permafrost.

Moreover, the tower’s surroundings clearly swirled with white cold winds, seeming to be some form of protection, which appeared quite powerful.

This was also the first time Rein saw another wizard academy, and he was a bit curious.

It also made him wonder what his Bixiu Mechanization School’s base looked like.

As they approached on the Blood Feather, more details of the Wizard Tower unfolded before Rein and the two women’s eyes.

The tower seemed to be constructed entirely from pure white ice blocks.

The base was relatively broad, while the top was rather pointed, giving an overall impression of great stability. The tower would occasionally light up with mysterious, intricate runes, which emitted a powerful energy wave.

“Foreign raptor sighted! Prepare defenses!”

“Wait, there are people on top, signal a warning.”

“External flying knight, you have trespassed into Winterfort Academy’s territory, please state your purpose.”

Rein saw a large bird resembling a white owl, carrying a male wizard in a white robe swiftly approaching them. The voice just heard had come from him.

“Oh, that’s a rare Ice Plain Giant Vulture.” Anna’s eyes lit up as she saw the other’s flying mount, whispering softly.

“Michael, it’s me, Merita!” Merita, sitting at the front, immediately greeted him.

“Huh? Merita?” Sure enough, the male wizard named Michael, following the voice, saw a familiar face at the very front of the Blood Feathered Horned Eagle.

“Looks like you received the academy’s message.”

Seeing someone from her own academy, Michael’s expression relaxed significantly.

“By the way, Michael, this is Lord Rein. I specifically invited him to help us deal with Ancestor Dragon Kolaxius.” Merita hurriedly introduced.

“Huh?” Michael looked suspiciously at Merita, then at the people seated on the Horned Owl Beast.

Lord? What Lord?

The young man in front of him wore a white wizard robe, looking not even twenty years old; the two women were about the same age, none appearing to be someone of significance.

From the aura, they were just First Level Wizards.

Even weaker than himself.

Able to deal with Ancestor Dragon Kolaxius? What a joke!

“Merita, you weren’t there during the academy’s battle with Ancestor Dragon Kolaxius, perhaps you’re not quite familiar with Kolaxius’s strength.”

“In battling them, a First Level Wizard has very little impact; high-end strength is what’s needed. Think about it, even your mentor, Dean Batalov, was heavily injured; that’s the power of the Ancestral Dragon.”

“However, since they’re your friends, you should entertain them well.” Michael said deeply.

“I still need to invite Lord Luther, goodbye.”

Saying this, without waiting for Merita to say anything else, Michael swiftly flew off controlling the Ice Plain Giant Vulture.

“Michael, you…” This left Merita utterly speechless.

I wasn’t at the Winterfort Academy during the fight with Ancestor Dragon Kolaxius, sure, but I was on another battlefield, watching with my own eyes as Lord Rein repelled Kolaxius’s attack on the Barbarian Tribe!

Foolish Michael!

Ahhh! It makes me so angry!

In her mind, Merita cursed Michael no less than a hundred times.

“Lord Rein, please don’t mind, our Winterfort Academy welcomes you; Michael’s just lost his mind today for some reason.” Merita forced a smile, apologetically speaking to Rein.

“It’s alright.” Rein waved his hand, saying.

Rein wasn’t too concerned about Winterfort Academy’s attitude.

The reason was simple: he hadn’t come due to an invitation from Winterfort Academy, but because of a deal with Merita, he had come to aid Winterfort Academy.
