Chapter 887: Chapter 322: Reunion with the Legendary Earth Snake (Two-in-One Chapter)_4
If they attacked with overwhelming force and the Legendary Earth Snake were to die in the battle, he would be left in tears with nothing to gain.
The second option is to destroy the Meister Governor Count Habs family. In his view, as revenge for the killing of Ganon and Holdan, it would be enough.
Running off to Mingster with that reckless Ecosela?
He did not truly agree with this plan.
He decided to show a bit more initiative in the upcoming raid, if only to give Ecosela an explanation.
…
—————–
Two o’clock in the morning, the moonlight was cold and clear.
The second floor of the Earl Habs Mansion.
Suddenly, Rein, who was resting in bed, snapped his eyes open. He had just felt a bout of heart palpitations and, simultaneously, his ‘danger perception’ subtly warned him.
“This direction…” Rein looked towards the floor of the bedroom.
As soon as his feet touched the ground and he attempted to stand, he felt a slight tremor vibrating through the entire villa. This vibration might be overlooked by ordinary people, but for Rein, it made things immediately clear.
Without hesitation, Rein grabbed his armguard and quickly leapt out of the window!
A few seconds later.
“Boom!”
Suddenly, from beneath the garden’s surface, a massive maw over three meters in diameter, with a grotesque petal-like appearance, burst forth, flinging stones, soil, and dust dozens of meters into the sky!
Immediately after, an immense serpentine creature emerged from the ground.
Rather than submerging back into the earth after surfacing, it stood upright with part of its body.
Yet even with just a part of its body, it surpassed the height of the villa, the enormous shadow cast under the moonlight nearly enveloping half of the mansion.
It was clear such a mighty presence could only belong to the Legendary Earth Snake.
The guards, seeing such a colossal creature, naturally did not dare to approach, but having encountered the Legendary Earth Snake before, they cautiously maintained their distance, wary and on guard from several tens of meters away after a brief moment of chaos.
The mansion and the surroundings resounded with the noise of chaotic screams.
Evidently, the commotion from the Legendary Earth Snake alarmed not only everyone within the Earl Habs Mansion but also prompted people from neighboring mansions to come out, curious about the anomaly.
Atop the Earth Snake’s head, a row of black-robed monks appeared, led by none other than Edmondo.
He glanced around, satisfied with the shocking effect caused by the Earth Snake’s entrance and nodded slightly.
But soon, as if he thought of something, he appeared quite puzzled, saying, “Huh? Where’s Ecosela?”
“Did you send the signal earlier?” Edmondo turned his head to ask his subordinates.
“We did, and we also sent a message to Timxi half an hour before we arrived,” a subordinate replied respectfully.
Edmondo nodded. He knew Timxi was Ecosela’s subordinate.
“But it shouldn’t be like this. With the commotion caused by the Legendary Earth Snake, even without a signal, Ecosela should have sensed it long ago.” Edmondo frowned slightly, an ominous feeling creeping into his heart.
“Are you looking for her?”
“Bang!”
Suddenly, a headless black-robed corpse was thrown in front of the Earth Snake, rolling to a stop.
“Huh?”
Though it was missing half its head, the familiar slender body, the black robe, and the faint Ouroboros mark on the half-exposed face instantly changed Edmondo’s expression dramatically!
“Ecosela?”
“You… who are you? How dare you kill Ecosela!” Edmondo’s shock was evident in his voice!
He had considered the worst-case scenario, but the situation before him still exceeded his expectations.
How could this be?
Ecosela’s strength was comparable to his own, meaning that whoever could kill Ecosela could presumably kill him as well?
Behind Edmondo, the group of black-robed figures erupted into chaotic chatter.
The scene before them delivered an even greater shock!
“It’s Lady Ecosela!”
“Indeed! She was killed!”
…
One must realize, it wasn’t just any pawn that died; it was a Legendary Strongman!
Whether in the Empire or among major churches, she was a first-rate powerhouse!
The black-robed figures’ eyes widened, watching the scene intently, their palms clenched tightly, overwhelmed with terror!
