Chapter 1544 - 531: Upheaval and Chaos (Part 2)
Chapter 1544: Chapter 531: Upheaval and Chaos (Part 2)
Graham smiled and walked towards Stuttgart, seeming to intend to hand over the Earth Core to him.
Just as Stuttgart, with a joyful expression, took the wooden box.
Suddenly, things took a drastic turn!
“Pffft!”
A dagger emitting a dark radiance shot out like lightning from the bottom of the wooden box, piercing Stuttgart’s chest with blinding speed!
And just as Stuttgart’s innate Defensive Witchcraft activated, it was instantly pierced.
Clearly, this dagger was extraordinary, judging by its power it most likely carried the blessing of Divine Power.
“You!!” Stuttgart’s eyes widened, looking at Graham with an expression of disbelief.
“I’m sorry, Stuttgart, the great Lord Nael Breccan is about to descend, but for that, it requires the spirits and essence blood of two Dawn Wizards, and you were just the first in my plan.”
“Rest assured, as for Rein, I will help kill him for you, I will avenge your grievance.”
Graham smiled as he spoke, reaching out his finger, muttered a brief prayer, then touched the dark radiance dagger.
The next second, the dagger turned into a mass of black smoke, fiercely corroding Stuttgart’s wounded body.
“Ah!!!”
Stuttgart trembled all over like a sieve, black spider-like stripes appeared on his face and hands, and he screamed in agony.
Then Stuttgart’s body floated mid-air, a wicked, grand, and overwhelming aura began to spread from him.
But on the other side, the corpse of the Gorlon Giant also suddenly emitted a nearly identical wicked aura.
Instantly, the two auras intensified by dozens of times!
Strangely, there seemed to be some kind of linkage between the two.
As if some twin existence was beginning to descend!
The sudden change naturally caused the Isodre School wizards to scream in terror.
“Sect Leader!!”
Many School Wizards, though aware that their Sect Leader Stuttgart had done wrong, felt a surge of reluctance, emotion, and anger seeing him die under Graham’s assassination.
But intimidated by Graham’s power, no one dared to step forward to avenge.
…
Meanwhile.
High in the sky, still some distance from the Shirendil Plateau, a high-speed Empire Airship was advancing rapidly.
In the luxurious cabin of the airship, around an elliptical long table, several dignified individuals were having an intense debate.
“Rein’s private assassination of Marquis Orlanz was already too much, and now he’s directly going to the Isodre School for revenge, is he trying to incite a civil war within the Empire?”
The speaker was Pantoscoke, the Empire Guardian with the title ’Storm Cloud’.
“You can’t say that, the allocation of personnel to assassinate Lord Rein’s followers by the Isodre School is already confirmed, so Lord Rein going there is justified.” Marshal Alfred argued with reason.
“Currently, merely relying on the testimony of an Isodre School Wizard against Deputy Sect Leader Malcolm cannot demonstrate a problem with the entire Isodre School, let alone suggest a problem with Sect Leader Stuttgart.”
“Furthermore, even if justified, is the Elder Council just for show? If everyone acted like this young Lord Rein, the Empire would be in chaos!” Pantoscoke said displeased.
For a moment, Marshal Alfred didn’t know how to retort.
After all, the other party’s words were also factual.
At this point, a middle-aged man in an Empire Military Department Marshal’s uniform spoke righteously:
“We in the Military Department have obtained top-secret information that the Secret School Tutkash, located on the western border of the Shirendil Plateau, has been very active these past two years, seemingly with further plans.”
“So, currently the Empire needs the Isodre School to stabilize the Shirendil Plateau, and what Lord Rein is doing is contrary to the Empire’s major policy of using large Wizard Schools to stabilize border regions!”
“This behavior disregards the interests of the Empire entirely!”
This Army Marshal, a representative pushed forward by the Empire’s Conservative Party nobility, was named Mayer Lane.
He always believed that the Imperial Swordsmen Department should merge into the Military Department, otherwise, there would be issues with multi-headed political mandates and power allocation, hence he never had a harmonious relationship with the Swordsmen’s Marshal Alfred.
“Alright, stop arguing! Wait until we arrive, and inquire about the details from Rein to understand the situation better,” a slightly aged voice sounded.
The speaker was Elder Ivan, whom Rein had once met before.
Due to past merits of Rein saving the ’Red Queen’ Menia, Elder Ivan had a favorable impression of Rein.
Half a day ago, upon receiving reports to the Empire Elder Council regarding Rein’s unauthorized execution of an Imperial Marquis and his journey towards the Shirendil Plateau, he decided to lead a team there.
He worried that Rein, in his youth and vigor, might inadvertently clash with Stuttgart. If so, his presence could help mediate the situation.
After all, one couldn’t allow Menia’s lifesaving benefactor to be harmed while she was in secluded recovery.
…
Nirheim.
When Rein struck the ground with a palm, creating a wide-spreading wave of dark silver metal ripples, covering and impaling the hundreds of alien spider swarms, he noticed that Stuttgart’s body underwent a drastic transformation.
The body was elongated to its extreme, and simultaneously a grayish-white exoskeleton with complex patterns rapidly formed on the surface, with spider-like limbs growing from the lower half.
Soon, a bizarre monster, over ten meters in height, with a humanoid upper body and spider-like lower body appeared before Rein.
Unknown murmuring radiated outward from its center…
The guards at the gates of the Isodre School suddenly shrieked in terror!
These guards, only at the level of Knights, suddenly grew spider-like hairs all over their bodies, dropping their swords and shields as their hands transformed into spider-like limbs, they could no longer hold weapons or shields.
The murmuring was like a magic sound, capable of transforming humans into such half-human, half-spider monsters!
And from within the mountainous body of the Gorlon Giant, it suddenly burst outward, as if something had hatched using its corpse.
A gigantic spider, almost comparable in size to the Gorlon Giant, crawled out slowly from its abdomen.
Its eight sharp limbs, stretching out to an eye-popping length of thirty to forty meters, made its ten-meter-diameter round body look inconspicuous by comparison.
Pink compound eyes were scattered around its gargantuan mouth.
Even wizards of a Fogging level would feel dizzy at a single glance.
And those Wizard Apprentices, at this moment, seemed as if spiritually controlled, rigidly walking toward the behemoth ahead.
Perhaps the majority of wizards present did not understand the origins of the monsters before them, but the two ’living fossil’ wizards of the Isodre School recognized it.
“Not good! These are the two Avatars of the Spider Evil God Nael Breccan recorded in ancient texts!” exclaimed the white-haired old wizard.
“Indeed! It’s the ’Unhearing’ Kexi’er and the ’Unseeing’ Donok!”
“Everyone, retreat quickly! First Level Wizards cast Silence Spell on themselves!” shouted the mustachioed old wizard while hurriedly directing.
Hearing the calls from the two old wizards, the panic-stricken Isodre Wizards finally started having some organization.
However, for Graham, these Isodre School Wizards were not the focal point of concern.
Only Rein in front of him was.
“Lord Rein, the two Avatars of Lord Nael Breccan have descended, and just by sacrificing you, the descent can be completed,” Graham looked at Rein with a smile.
Rein said nothing, just swept his gaze over the two monsters before him, showing no fear but rather a hint of joy.
From judging the dense sacred aura emanating from their bodies, regardless of whether they were true Avatars of the Evil God, the power of an Evil God they embody was surely substantial.
“Thank you!” Rein said earnestly.
“Thank you?” Graham was taken aback.
“Thank you for summoning these so-called Evil God Avatars, they will all become nourishment for my power advancement.”
As Rein spoke, he removed his Wizard Robe, folded it neatly, and set it aside, relying on witchcraft alone wouldn’t suffice, so he decided to engage in hand-to-hand combat.
