Isaac felt a slight tinge of regret for missing the Silver-robed Mage assembly, but he didn’t dwell on it. After returning to the Underground Palace City, the first thing he did was summon the city’s Six Gods.

Four of these Six Gods were newly created. There should have been seven, but two years ago, the Old Fighting God had absorbed the [Demonization] Divine Authority, which corrupted his [Eternal] Concept and led to his demise.

Of the four new Gods, one was the [God of Nobility]. His main responsibility was to manage the Underground Palace City and alleviate its ever-growing administrative burden. Like the Mother Goddess, he was an administrative Deity, not skilled in combat.

Of course, "not skilled" was a relative term. As Tier Four Gods with a virtually inexhaustible supply of Divine Power, they didn’t need an array of flashy abilities. A single Divine Power Beam or Divine Power Cannon was enough to deal with any opponent below Tier Four.

They could even hold their own against Pseudo-Tier Four Demons, since those creatures were utterly mindless.

However, aside from the God of Nobility, the other three were genuine Martial Deities. After all, this was an Extraordinary World where individual strength reigned supreme—a Wilderness World teeming with Demons and Apostles.

’Out here in the world, being able to fight is incredibly useful!’

The other three were the new [Fighting God], the [God of War], and the [Magic Goddess]. Isaac had given the new [Fighting God] some additional Divine Power Attributes, making him more versatile in combat. The [God of War], similar to Trist, had Enhanced Summoning abilities; not only could he single-handedly form an army, but he also excelled at wide-area Beneficial Divine Techniques.

As for the last one, the Magic Goddess—as a Wizard, Isaac had always believed that Magic was the greatest productive force in this Magic World. Crucially, it was also perfectly suited for combat, making it extremely adaptable.

At the same time, this was also laying the groundwork for his future research into Faith Wizards.

Unfortunately, while the [Magic Goddess] herself possessed Casting Ability and a decent capacity for research and learning just like a Wizard, her Followers were a different story. Although they gained a Casting Ability, they couldn’t learn Magic through study. They could only receive Magic bestowed by the Magic Goddess; without her gift, they were incapable of learning, no matter what.

It was similar to Magic Net Mages, with the difference being that they had no Magic Slot restrictions and could also advance to Tier Three and obtain Authority.

But they still couldn’t learn Magic on their own...

Isaac wasn’t too disappointed with this result. ’If I get it, I’m lucky; if I lose it...’

’It’s not fate, just a failed experiment. When were these things ever so easy to succeed at?’

What Isaac needed to do was to keep trying and continuously accumulate knowledge. That way, when an opportunity arose, he would be able to seize it and bring about a qualitative transformation.

Take his Miracle Magic: God Sealing, for example. To be honest, the Magic was powerful—defying the natural order, even. But in the hands of any other Wizard, it wouldn’t be nearly as heaven-defying as it was in his.

For one, there was a limit to how many could be controlled. For another, they had a limited lifespan—a restriction on their time of Existence.

The latter was especially crippling for other Wizards. Spending an enormous amount of Magic Power just to gain a temporary combatant was practically useless in a surprise encounter.

Furthermore, the time limit meant there was no point in even trying to overcome the control limit.

The reason this Magic had become what it was in Isaac’s hands was primarily due to an inconspicuous early invention: Divine Fragments.

This technology allowed Isaac to rapidly create long-lasting Virtual Deities, which in turn led to everything he had now.

Therefore, Isaac valued all his research. Even if the results didn’t meet expectations, they were still useful. ’After all, who can predict the future?’

Shortly after Isaac’s command was issued, six beams of divine light shot in from all directions and landed before him.

The Magic Goddess, Mother Goddess, and God of Nobility flew out directly from within the city—the first was responsible for guarding the Underground Palace City, while the latter two were not skilled in combat. The other three flew in from outside the city, where they were responsible for fighting the Demons and Order Apostles.

When Isaac had first chosen the location, he had still harbored the idea of conquering the nearby Underground Palaces. As a result, there were a total of seven Underground Palaces in the vicinity of the city. While these had provided immense help during the city’s early development, the pressure they now exerted since they had gone berserk was also enormous.

To say nothing of the others, there were more than ten Tier Four Demons alone!

And that was after Mephisto and the others had focused their Firepower to kill some of them. Initially, there had been over twenty!

This was also the reason why Isaac had previously been standing fully armed above the Underground Palace City.

The Three Gods’ brief departure wouldn’t have a major impact on the battlefield. With the Underground Palace City’s current combat strength, killing the enemy was unlikely, but they could work together to temporarily hold off the Pseudo-Tier Four Demons.

Especially since their Followers could be resurrected.

As long as the Tier Three Followers fought with their lives on the line, blocking a Pseudo-Tier Four was not a major problem.

The Six Gods stood in an orderly line before Isaac, awaiting his command. With the cautionary tale of the Old Fighting God before them, the four new Gods were terrified of Isaac’s dreadful ability to erase their [Human Nature], but they didn’t dare make any foolish moves.

After all, Isaac now possessed five Divine Servant Demons stronger than them. The fact that he looked down on their meager combat strength gave them a slight sense of security.

Interestingly, however, not all of the Six Gods feared Isaac. Mephisto, as always, was extremely respectful and trusting. He had no objections to Isaac’s methods and remained as unwaveringly righteous and noble as ever.

And then there was the Mother Goddess...

She was a special case!

While the others feared losing their [Human Nature] and being controlled by Isaac, she was the opposite—she desperately hoped for her [Human Nature] to be consumed by her [Divinity] so she could be controlled by Isaac!

If not for the fact that her Divine Authority and Divine Power were both of a positive nature, he would have suspected that the Mother Goddess wasn’t interested in being controlled, but just... well, let’s just say the word she had in mind was one syllable shorter and much more direct.

Because of this, Isaac had often had to intervene and "readjust" her condition to prevent her [Human Nature] from truly being consumed by her [Divinity]...

At this thought, Isaac glanced vexedly at the Mother Goddess, Maxu Kant, who was staring at him with a hazy look in her eyes. He noted with resignation that the balance between her [Human Nature] and [Divinity] was indeed off again...

After a single glance, Isaac paid her no more mind. She could hold on for a while longer; it wouldn’t affect her combat ability.

"The plan has changed. As of now, we are officially entering a state of war. Run the Underground Palace City’s Defense Barrier at maximum power. All combatants are to be deployed with the primary mission of killing Demons and Order Apostles—and that includes the six of you! Remember, the more you kill, the faster this turmoil will end!"

After a pause, Isaac turned to the God of War. "You will command all Follower Legions in battle. You have full discretion on how to proceed. I have only one requirement: leave no Demon or Apostle alive!"

Then, he turned his head to Mephisto. "You will lead the three of them. Your main responsibility will be to concentrate Firepower and kill the Tier Four Demons and Apostles. The Mother Goddess’s situation is special; she will act with me."

"Yes, Divine Master!" five of the Gods replied in unison.

"Yes, Divine Master."
