Chapter 417: Chapter 305: Unconventional Servant Demons

The Magic Power of the Miracle flowed through the Magic Veins in the sky, all of it converging into the Golden Flame-wreathed Wind-Fire Wheel. The wheel then transformed into two streaks of golden light and shot over to Isaac.

At the same time, as the Miracle Ceremony concluded, the Barrier enveloping the battlefield dissipated. Outside, the Ogres, filled with pent-up rage, roared at the heavens. They charged at Isaac, hurling rocks and firing Magic Cannons as they came.

However, all their attacks came to an abrupt halt just a meter away from Isaac!

Authority Magic: Arrogant Turtle!

’So this is a Magical Treasure?’ Isaac acted as if he hadn’t even seen the Ogres’ attacks. He calmly sized up the spinning Wind-Fire Wheel before him, a glint flickering in his eyes. Then, he raised his eyebrows in surprise.

Because he couldn’t figure anything out about it!

This was the first time his Analysis Authority had ever encountered such a situation!

Even when facing the power of a Deity, his Analysis Authority could obtain data by brute-forcing the acquisition of all information; it simply required some data-sifting afterward.

And yet now, Isaac discovered that in the face of the Wind-Fire Wheel, his Analysis was completely useless!

’Interesting...’ After musing for a moment, Isaac turned his gaze to the Ogres still tirelessly attacking below. With a raised eyebrow, he tossed out the Wind-Fire Wheel.

The next moment...

The Wind-Fire Wheel shot out, spinning rapidly in mid-air. A tsunami-like wave of Golden Flame surged toward the Ogres on the ground!

The Golden Flame swept across the land, painting the azure sky with what looked like a magnificent, golden sunset.

If one could ignore the incessant wails rising from the ground below, the sight was truly like something out of a paradise.

Soon, the battle was over.

Ogres below Tier Three were reduced to ash, scattered across the vast, white landscape. As for the Ogres of Tier Three and above...

They weren’t dead, but they were not unharmed. Their bodies were covered in pitch-black char, but that was the extent of it. The Golden Flame of the Wind-Fire Wheel had somehow boosted the Ogres’ recovery ability to its absolute limit, and their flesh was regenerating at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Although their regeneration couldn’t yet outpace the destructive power of the Golden Flame, the flame was unable to press its advantage. In fact, given enough time, victory would belong to the Ogres.

The reason was simple. The Authority awakened by the High-level Ogres was the relatively common Magic Enhancement. But no matter how common, it was still an Authority—something extraordinary that could accomplish many feats. For example, it powered the Magic Cannons they had used against the Blood Flame Knight, and now, it was being used to enhance their own regeneration.

It could even be used to enhance their own evolutionary ability!

Yes, evolution!

Evolution is an ability possessed by most life forms. Under normal circumstances, however, its effects are negligible, typically requiring continuous evolution over several, or even dozens, of generations to produce any noticeable results.

But now, thanks to Magic Enhancement, the Ogres’ evolutionary ability had been boosted. Combined with their already enhanced regeneration, their resistance to fire was increasing at a visible rate!

At this rate of evolution, Isaac estimated that in three days, the Ogres’ physical regeneration would outpace the burning speed of the Golden Flame.

Having collected his data, Isaac recalled the Wind-Fire Wheel and casually killed the remaining High-level Ogres. He then stepped onto the wheel, transforming into a streak of fire that tore across the sky as he departed.

’The combat data for the Miracle Ceremony and the Wind-Fire Wheel has been collected. That leaves only two objectives for this trip: test the Wind-Fire Wheel’s flight speed and find a suitable Servant Demon.’

’Actually, my original plan was to gather more combat data on the Wind-Fire Wheel. After all, this trip isn’t about Refining Treasure. The most important thing is to understand the principles behind this Magical Treasure so I can replicate it.’

But...

’But if even my Analysis can’t get any concrete data from the Wind-Fire Wheel, what’s the point of more tests? It seems purely technical means are not enough to replicate a Magical Treasure.’

’Of course, while replicating the Magical Treasure itself might be impossible, creating Magic Items with similar effects wouldn’t be difficult.’

’To bring change to the Wizard Civilization, the most important thing isn’t to replicate the Magical Treasure. It’s to make people understand and aspire to create miraculous Magical Treasures like this. I need to show them that Magic Items can be made this way—to open their minds so they are no longer limited to simple, brute-force designs.’

However...

As he flew, Isaac looked down at the Wind-Fire Wheel beneath his feet, his eyes narrowing slightly. ’Something that even my Analysis Authority can’t read... This thing should hold plenty of surprises for me, shouldn’t it?’

’Miracles... they really are fascinating.’

A smile played on Isaac’s lips. At this moment, he had truly given up on the idea of passing the High Tower’s trial. ’Perhaps,’ he thought, ’the "perfect" advancement offered by the Endless Tower isn’t so perfect after all...’

’Admittedly, it can perfectly grant you all the basic and even advanced abilities of a Tier Five Mage. But in doing so, it makes you miss out on the scenery along the way. For a Wizard, that’s hardly a good thing.’

’Of course, if the Endless Tower’s perfect advancement can grant that, too... well, then you can just ignore everything I just thought.’

Time slowly passed. As he flew, he gathered data on the Wind-Fire Wheel’s flight capabilities. The results were... how should he put it...

Quite exceptional!

In its normal, low-consumption mode, its speed was on par with a Tier Three Flying Demon. At full throttle, it could even reach Mach 10! (Approximately three kilometers per second.)

’That’s as fast as Ultraman Tiga!’

Whether for traveling, escaping, or tracking enemies, it was incredibly practical.

Though it still couldn’t compare to the prestigious field of Space Magic, of course.

Meanwhile, while testing the Wind-Fire Wheel, Isaac also found a few "Servant Demons" that caught his eye.

The quotation marks were there for a reason: they weren’t exactly traditional Servant Demons...

—Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs!

Classic fantasy races, and also the three largest races in the Real World besides humans.

To be honest, Isaac was quite surprised to find them here. Originally, to solve his... aesthetic problem, he had just planned on finding some better-looking Demons and pairing them with the power of a True God. That way, they would look fairly normal and not so sinister.

What Isaac hadn’t expected was to find these three races here!

They were all corrupted versions, but that wasn’t a major issue. Ordinary methods couldn’t redeem them, but for the Divinity of his Virtual Divinity, it was a trivial matter.

Soon, Isaac found suitable targets—one from each of the three races, spreading the love equally.

His choice of races for his Servant Demons was unconventional, and so was his method of acquiring them: knock them out cold and haul them away.

Contracts? Goodwill?

A Divine Servant Demon doesn’t bother with any of that. Once a Divinity enters your system, your fate is no longer your own!
