Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 356 - 260: Corrosion, Erosion, and a Star Beast
Chapter 356: Chapter 260: Corrosion, Erosion, and a Star Beast
Above the calm surface of the sea, influenced by the Star God’s Force Field, three streaks of light glided past, flying silently toward the depths of the Star Sea.
Of the three streaks, a green one and a purple one led the way, with a golden streak following closely behind. Though the auras of the three were exceedingly faint, their speed was by no means slow.
It went without saying that these three streaks of light were Caesar and the two High-Dimensional Apostles.
Tailing the Dimension Apostles, Caesar studied them closely, the curiosity in his eyes growing more intense. ’No matter how I look at them, these two are veteran Tier Three Life forms.’
Their control over their Authority, the intensity of that Authority, and even their combat prowess were far beyond what an ordinary High-level Life could possess.
But...
He had watched Isaac create these two with his own eyes!
Just two or three days ago, they had only been Tier One Knights...
’Are the methods of the Outer Gods really so miraculous?’
A flicker of worry surfaced in Caesar’s heart. As a Divine Favored—and an exceptionally special one at that—Caesar had a considerable understanding of the great power of Deities. Creating a High-level Life of this caliber wasn’t a difficult feat for a Deity.
But that was for a Deity!
Isaac was just a mere Tier Three Mage!
Of course, he knew that Deities occasionally bestowed the ability to create high-level Followers. It wasn’t a simple matter for a Deity, but it wasn’t exactly difficult, either.
However!
This method only created Followers—beings whose bodies, minds, and powers were completely under the Deity’s control!
’So where could a Mad Witch like Isaac have obtained such an ability?’
Recalling the dozen or so transaction rituals before they departed, the worry in Caesar’s heart intensified. Revenge was important, to be sure, but he absolutely didn’t want Isaac to get into trouble over it...
[Rest assured, there is nothing wrong with his method.]
Just as he was worrying about Isaac, a Mysterious and majestic voice flowed through Caesar’s mind. The voice carried a wondrous power; the moment it emerged, it instantly calmed Caesar’s agitated heart.
[Is that true?]
[Of course. I must say, even in the entire history of Mad Witches, your brother Isaac is the most insane of them all! As for his Magic for creating High-Dimensional Apostles... it took even me some time to begin to comprehend it.]
Hearing this, Caesar’s heart, which had just been put at ease, was back on edge. ’For the Magic to be that incredible... there has to be a catch, right?’
[Relax. If there were a catch, he would have died long ago. I still do not understand its exact principles, but I have a rough idea of its origins. He is utterly insane. His method of creation is sourced from numerous Outer Gods, then unified by an Outer God who ascended from the rank of Wizard. This ultimately resulted in such a potent creation Magic. Heh... how interesting. This single spell involves at least seven or eight Outer Gods. Your brother... is terrifying!]
Caesar’s pupils trembled. He never imagined this entity would hold Isaac in such high regard, let alone that the Magic could involve so many Outer Gods.
That was just too insane!
Many Mad Witches went their entire lives without managing to trade with that many Outer Gods, yet for Isaac, a single spell involved their participation...
It was truly...
Insane!
Yes, insane!
Beyond mere ability, the key was that streak of madness. The fundamental reason Isaac could pull this off was that he used the Dimension World, with its Infinite potential, as a "dumping ground." Otherwise, with so much Outer God Power flooding his body, he would have been expelled from the Real World long ago, then devoured completely by that host of Outer Gods!
The Anchor Point was a major hurdle, one that prevented Mad Witches from trading with Outer Gods after their Mad Witch Traits were fully developed.
[Pay attention. There’s a Star Beast ahead. Now we’ll have a good show.]
Prompted by the Divine Sound in his mind, Caesar reined in his thoughts and refocused on his surroundings, ready for a Star Beast that might strike at any moment. He and Isaac had to avoid taking action as much as possible, lest Remi Gallard detect them prematurely and escape.
That didn’t mean they had to be a burden, though. ’If we can’t fight, can’t we at least dodge?’
As they flew on, Caesar’s brow suddenly furrowed.
The next moment...
BOOM!
Three purple tentacles shot out from the sea, lashing out at the trio. In that split second, Caesar’s perception expanded to its absolute limit. For an instant, time seemed to stand still in his eyes. He first took a careful look at the tentacle coiling toward him.
The purple tentacle was covered in grotesque maws, from which trickled a viscous liquid. The skin between the maws was covered in silver, Mysterious star-like patterns, making it look exceptionally bizarre.
After sizing up the tentacle lunging for him, Caesar glanced at the other tentacles lurking beneath the sea’s surface, roughly plotted an escape route, and transformed into a golden streak of light, dodging away in a flash.
As for the two Dimension Apostles, Corrosion and Erosion, he hadn’t paid them much mind. ’If Isaac placed such high hopes in them, their combat power must be extraordinary. They won’t need me to worr...y...’
THWAP! THWAP!
Just as the thought crossed his mind, two sharp sounds rang out. He whipped his head toward the source and saw that Corrosion and Erosion hadn’t dodged the tentacles at all. They were struck in an instant and then bound tightly!
Watching the Dimension Apostles get captured almost instantly, Caesar’s face twitched. ’They were... caught? Just like that?’
