Chapter 303: Chapter 226: 1 vs. 4! Overwhelming Victory

It’s truly...

Unbelievable!

Of course, this was likely also because Isaac hadn’t specifically tried to intercept the medium of light.

In stark contrast to Isaac’s composure, the other three’s expressions instantly turned grim. They knew in their hearts that they couldn’t have possibly blocked Phoenix’s Scorching Sun so easily. ’This guy’s Authority is even more bizarre than we imagined!’

"Arrogant Turtle—Edge of the World!"

"Arrogant Turtle—Cape!"

The instant the pillar of light bloomed, the other three, though shocked, quickly gathered energy in their hands to attack Isaac. But as fast as they reacted, Isaac reacted faster.

In barely an instant, two completely different power signatures surged from Isaac’s body and enveloped the other three men.

Edge of the World infinitely stretched the distance between matter and energy within its range, while Cape infinitely shortened it.

Edge of the World was applied to their upper bodies, and Cape to their lower bodies.

Instantly, they lost control of their bodies. Their energy fell into disarray, their footwork became chaotic, and the power they had just gathered dissipated. They teetered on the verge of collapse, unable to even stand steadily. It was only thanks to their considerable strength that they weren’t toppled completely.

Among the three, only the Priest was in a relatively better state. Though he was still unsteady, the Divine Power in his hands hadn’t completely dispersed. After all, power originating from a Deity was not so easily disrupted.

But that was the extent of it; he had completely lost the ability to fight.

"Arrogant Turtle—Boundless Void!"

Although only Isaac himself understood the reference, the corners of his mouth still turned up in a slight, irrepressibly excited smile as he called out the name.

And as his lips curved, so too did his Magic Power rise—a power of exceptionally high quality, sinister and profound.

This was the powerful Magic Power that truly belonged to him, a result of his ascension to a High-level Mage.

As the unparalleled Magic Power enveloped them, the expressions of two of the four men froze completely. Their eyes went dull, and they became motionless. The only exceptions were Phoenix, his body still surging with endless light and heat, and the Tier Three Priest.

Of the two who could still move, one was shielded by a powerful Authority that prevented any external force from invading his body. The other was protected by Divine Power, granting him relatively high resistance. But it was only *relatively* high; he still couldn’t completely resist Isaac’s Boundless Void, and his movements and expression slowed considerably.

Isaac’s Boundless Void, while similar in appearance to Gojo Satoru’s from *Jujutsu Kaisen*, operated on a completely different principle. The original Boundless Void forcibly flooded the target’s brain with a massive amount of junk information in a very short time, overwhelming their cognitive functions and leaving them stunned.

Isaac’s version, however, further unleashed the power of his Authority, expanding the influence of the Concept of the "Positive Infinitesimal" from the material world to the realm of thought. It forced the amount of information his targets could process per second to infinitely approach zero.

This was why they appeared to be in a stupor.

The process was different, but the result was the same. Not only were they left in a stupor, but prolonged exposure meant they would adapt to this state of Thought Stagnation. In short, they could become permanently demented.

HUFF... HUFF...

Even though his life form had undergone a qualitative change, such a massive expenditure of Magic Power still put a strain on Isaac. He panted heavily, feeling a wave of fatigue wash over him.

Yet, despite his fatigue, Isaac couldn’t help but reveal a gratified smile as he looked at the spectacular scene before him. ’One versus four, all at the same level, and I crushed them completely!’

Such a battle record sparked a flicker of pride in Isaac. Although he had only recently ascended, his current strength was already respectable among the Tier Three ranks. He hadn’t progressed far down the path of a High-level Mage, nor had he performed the Tier Three ritual with an Evil God, but the pace of his growth hadn’t slowed in the slightest.

’Once I consolidate my power a little more, I can finally go get my revenge on that High-level Mad Witch!’

A flash of anticipation appeared in Isaac’s eyes.

But despite his wandering thoughts, Isaac’s hands moved without faltering. Dense, dark cracks flickered into existence behind him, pouring out a Profound and Mysterious evil Magic Power. A series of complex Magic Arrays materialized, layering one upon the other above the heads of the three men—everyone but Phoenix. In an instant, the evil Magic Power surging from behind Isaac swarmed into the arrays.

Super Magic Cannon!

This was a new version of the Magic Cannon, one Isaac had optimized by combining the Magic Cannon diagrams from the Mage Tower with the Magic Enhancement techniques of the Flesh Sect. Its power was off the charts.

To put it bluntly, the thing was a highly impractical Secret Skill. It had a massive cost, a long Casting time, and could only be used for pinpoint strikes. Its flaws were glaring.

But this was where that famous quote came in—albeit in reverse.

So, Gou Dan’er, what is the~ price?

By accumulating so many flaws as to be almost useless in actual combat, it gained one thing in return: unparalleled destructive power.

If he were to take a direct hit from this cannon, even Isaac, using every trick up his sleeve, would be half-dead.

This Magic was pure, unadulterated numbers and nothing else.

And this was why Isaac had the confidence to continue developing his "Positive Infinitesimal" Authority. After all, "Positive Infinitesimal" wasn’t inherently suited for combat, even with his "Analysis" Authority allowing him to brute-force combat applications.

Compared to a genuine combat-focused Authority, its power was bound to be relatively weaker.

Rather than shore up its weaknesses and become mediocre, it was better to specialize and push its strengths to the absolute limit.

Any deficiencies could simply be covered by combining it with his other abilities.

Besides, a Wizard never relied on a single trick to conquer the world.

The evil Magic Power surged for a full minute, pouring completely into the several Magic Arrays, which were now filled with writhing runes. A dazzling magical radiance converged, and then...

A black light flared!

And the world instantly fell silent...

...

BOOM!!!!

A moment later, the wild roar of Magic Power came screaming back!

The deserted island and the seawater beneath it were all vaporized by the violent, magical light.

After a few moments, the magical radiance gradually faded, revealing the shattered, crumbling remains of the deserted island.

Witnessing this, Phoenix, who had been struggling off to the side, let the arrogant expression melt from his face. The endless light and heat radiating from his body gradually receded. He stood quietly within the Wall of Sighs, ceasing all movement.

Arrogance was merely the protective coloration he used as a disguise.

Of course, when facing those weaker than himself, his arrogance was often genuine.

But now, in the face of Isaac’s absolute power, his so-called protective coloration was useless. So, naturally, he put it away and stood quietly to the side, hoping to be spared.

A short while later, the deserted island, shattered by the blasts of three Super Magic Cannons, slowly sank beneath the waves.

After another moment, the churning waves quickly subsided under the suppression of Isaac’s Magic Power. Only three silent figures remained on the calm surface of the sea.

Needless to say, the three were Isaac, Smith, and Phoenix—the only one who hadn’t been targeted by the Super Magic Cannons.

Smith stood silently behind Isaac, his left hand resting casually on the Longsword at his waist, his pair of golden, slitted pupils fixed coldly on Phoenix.

Under the combined gaze of Isaac and Smith, Phoenix sighed and said with resignation, "I surrender. Name your price for letting me go."

Isaac raised an eyebrow. ’A High-level Knight who knows how to surrender? That’s a rare breed.’ Unlike Wizards, every High-level Knight was tempered in endless life-or-death combat. They typically possessed an incredibly strong will to fight. They would flee or play dead, but they very rarely admitted defeat and surrendered.

’This guy... As long as he stays alive, he’s bound to go far!’

Watching as the last of the light and heat dissipated from Phoenix’s body, Isaac’s eyes narrowed. ’The conditions for letting him live, huh?’

’As a Wizard, was there even a choice to be made?’
