"Next time, get to the point... Forget it." Isaac waved his hand dismissively. He realized that for Liu Li, the proof of status was the most important aspect of the Follower Authority. "So it lets me bestow power upon you? Even Magic?"

"Magic works too. As long as it’s something you possess—even a fully formed Relic—I can use it perfectly the moment you bestow it. There’s no need to develop it from scratch, and it won’t affect the power you yourself possess."

"This ability..." Isaac stroked his chin, then was suddenly taken aback. "Isn’t this the divine authority of a Deity?!"

There were plenty of spells that allowed one to lend Magic and Relics to others, but none could truly be called a "bestowment." The essence of those techniques was lending, not granting.

The simplest example was Relics.

A Relic is a very personal Magic Item, as its power grows along with its master. The abilities of a fully developed Relic can be vastly different from its initial ones. And when a Relic changes masters, its Ability Value is reset to zero and must be developed all over again.

This is a great feature for an individual, as it means every Relic becomes a weapon or Magic Item perfectly tailored to its owner.

For a family or faction, however, this was less than ideal.

To address this, Wizards developed methods to temporarily lend out Relics, allowing the master to be changed for a short time without resetting the Relic’s Ability Value.

But this was only a temporary measure. Once a Relic was lent out, its original master lost all connection to it for the duration of the loan.

But a Deity’s bestowal is different. Take a Relic, or in this case, a Divine Artifact: when a Deity grants it to one of their Believers, the Divine Artifact’s Ability Value doesn’t change. Furthermore, the Deity can recall it at any time should the need arise.

This recall doesn’t summon the physical Divine Artifact back, but rather the very Concept of "the Divine Artifact." A new, identical Divine Artifact appears directly in the Deity’s hands, while the one held by the Believer doesn’t immediately lose its might. Its divine rank and power persist for a time. In fact, some exceptionally powerful Deities can make this effect last indefinitely!

In other words, two identical Divine Artifacts could exist at the same time!

That said, very few Deities were capable of this.

And now, Liu Li’s newly acquired "Follower" ability had a similar effect. To her, Isaac was now no different from a Deity!

"Authority... How interesting!" Isaac murmured, the corners of his mouth turning up into a smile. After Liu Li’s advancement ritual concluded, Isaac didn’t stop. He immediately began preparations for a new ritual. His craving for the world of High-level Mages had intensified, so he decided to keep everything simple.

Normally, Isaac would have wanted to carefully contemplate the Knowledge of the Outer Gods he’d written in his Magic Book, but not now. ’Who cares,’ he thought. ’Right now, nothing is more important than my own advancement!’

Therefore, for this transaction, Isaac once again chose the Master of Billions of Flesh.

He had no choice. Of all the Outer Gods Isaac knew, the offerings for this one were the easiest to gather. Even though Liu Li’s advancement ritual had consumed a good portion of his stockpile, something like Demonized Flesh could be bought with enough money.

And it was no exaggeration to say that the supply was virtually limitless.

For a place like Lake Town, which spanned who-knows-how-many dimensions and even entire worlds, this stuff was a commodity you could never run out of.

Isaac had originally considered waiting a bit, visiting the Void Worm again to strengthen his Phase Space. While he already had the superior Desperate Rabbit for defense, when it came to Armor Stacking, who could ever have too much?

Besides, if his Phase Space’s abilities grew stronger, he might be able to take things a step further after reaching Tier Three and grasp the [Space] Authority!

Soon, after spending a great deal of money, Isaac had once again gathered everything needed for a transaction ritual with the Master of Billions of Flesh. It was the same old routine. When the Master of Billions of Flesh saw the familiar—the all-too-familiar—Wizard getup, It knew that son of a bitch was back again.

Though the Gate of Legends and the Ritual Power concealed Isaac’s true identity, It, like the Black Orc God before It, recognized the bastard at a glance. After all, in all these years, there had only ever been one Mad Witch this arrogant.

Isaac paid no mind to the curses of the Master of Billions of Flesh. Firstly, he couldn’t understand them, and secondly...

’The big guy’s being so generous, so what’s the harm in letting Him curse a little?’
