Wizard: I Have Mythical Entries
Chapter 174 - 117: Space Materials and Element Imbalance
Chapter 174: Chapter 117: Space Materials and Element Imbalance
Chen Shang shook his head. "It’s not about starting new projects, but continuous learning inevitably leads to encountering new things."
Time flowed like water.
Several weeks later, the final two entries for the Fei Lian Eight Winds were finally collected on the interface.
[Mythical Resonance conditions met! Fei Lian Eight Winds (all eight winds complete) collected. Merge into the Advanced Divine Techniques entry: Fei Lian Eight Winds (Purple)?]
Merge!
The winds of heaven and earth—spanning eight directions, eight seasons, and eight divinities—converged on the interface, forming a swirling purple vortex of light.
Chen Shang reached out and summoned the Divine Winds in sequence according to the eight directions: east, south, west, north, southeast, southwest, northeast, and northwest lit up one by one. The Fei Lian Eight Winds formed a miniature storm in his hands, with each wind possessing its own color and characteristics. (Different Planes might have varying directional properties, but spatially, these directions existed universally.)
Gale was a harsh, deadly dark cyan. Jing Feng was a warm, mild pale cyan. Rong Feng was a soft cyan-white. Mingshu Feng was a clear, bright cyan. Qingming Wind was a pristine silver-white. Liang Feng was a refreshing azure. Changhe Wind was a severe gray-cyan. Guangmo Wind was a piercing lead-gray.
With a thought, he found that the eight winds could now merge into a single Divine Wind, unlike before when they would merely cancel each other out. Moreover, gathering all eight winds stimulated his Wind-Calling Divine Techniques, causing its completion rate to jump from twenty-three percent to thirty-one percent.
[Call Wind (Purple): 31% complete. Can summon any of the eight winds to cast spells independently or unleash all eight simultaneously to form a heaven-shaking storm. Range expanded to a thousand-zhang radius, further enhancing Control Power over Wind Magic.
New form unlocked: Eye of the Storm. Centered on the user, it opens up an area of absolute calm within the storm. Inside this zone, the user is immune to all external environmental influences.]
Chen Shang opened his eyes and exhaled. The eight winds rotated slowly in his hands, guarding their respective directions like eight loyal sentinels. Despite acquiring these new winds, he didn’t relax in the slightest. Now, he could finally attempt to construct the Fourth Magic Spring!
This wasn’t Chen Shang’s first time designing a Magic Spring, but the more he created, the more intricate the process became. Furthermore, it had to align perfectly with his chosen Enchantment Attribute. His previous Fire Element Magic Spring and Water Element Magic Spring were completely different designs.
Therefore, after discarding over a dozen drafts, his finalized plan was a regular dodecahedron.
The outer shell would be woven from 1,280 Spiritual Power Lines. The diameter of each line was precise to 0.01 millimeters, and the gaps between them were strictly controlled to increase the overall stability of the Fourth Magic Spring. He had reverse-engineered all these specifications based on the cutting force of the Wind Attribute. When the Wind Element spun at high speeds inside the spring, it would exert continuous radial pressure on the shell wall—a pressure value of approximately thirty degrees per square centimeter. Under this immense pressure, the outer shell had to maintain a deformation rate of no more than five percent to remain stable within Chen Shang’s Sea of Consciousness.
The entire structure was divided into three layers: the core, the inner lining, and the main body.
The core housed the Wind Element Enchantment. The inner lining utilized the thinnest Spiritual Power Lines, measuring only 0.003 millimeters in diameter. Its role was to directly lock the Wind Element in place, which required incredibly high resilience. By observing the Cyan Bird Face taking root in the Heart of Fire, he had comprehended a spiral Twisting Method structure. This allowed him to twist several Spiritual Power Lines into a single strand, layering them like a steel cable. The anti-cutting capability of this structure was several times greater than that of a single line.
The main body did not use the Twisting Method. Instead, the lines were wound horizontally and vertically like lines of longitude and latitude. The intersections were locked in place with Spiritual Power, forming a stable grid structure. The grid’s density gradually decreased from the equator to the poles. It was densest at the equator and sparsest at the poles because the Wind Element’s rotation speed was fastest at the equator, necessitating the greatest supporting force.
Through this meticulous design, he created an environment within the Fourth Magic Spring that perfectly accommodated the attachment of the Fei Lian Eight Winds!
After finalizing the design, he didn’t rush to begin the construction. Instead, he headed to Hathaway’s laboratory to consult the Master first.
Hathaway’s laboratory was open to him. Upon arriving, Chen Shang submitted a request and waited a moment before finally seeing her.
"Chen Shang, my workload has increased quite a bit since you resigned!" Hathaway complained the moment they met.
"My apologies, Master. I have to prepare for the assessment... as well as the Cultivation of the Repulsive and Attractive Dual Force," Chen Shang said apologetically. He then brought out his blueprints.
Hathaway only needed one glance to understand Chen Shang’s line of thought. "Which Magic Spring is this, and what new ideas do you have this time?"
Chen Shang spread the blueprint on the table. "This is for my Fourth Magic Spring. I want to give it a Wind Attribute Enchantment."
Hathaway smiled and looked down at the blueprint. It was a regular dodecahedron with a surface covered in spiral patterns. Inside the structure, Spiritual Power access points, Energy output ports, and attribute sealing nodes were all clearly marked. Every parameter was detailed meticulously; even the resilience of the outer shell was calculated to two decimal places.
Hathaway studied it for a while before looking up at Chen Shang. "How did you construct your previous two springs?"
"The second spring is a Fire Attribute, and the third is a Water Attribute," Chen Shang replied honestly.
Hathaway’s gaze lingered on him for a few seconds. She had seen many an Apprentice born with a Second Magic Spring, but among Second Level Apprentices, almost no one could open a third or fourth on their own. This Chen Shang had shown such talent after studying under her for just a few years. It was a pity he hadn’t become her direct disciple.
"The following knowledge will cost you a fee," Hathaway said.
