Chapter 147: Chapter 108: Divine Artifact Distribution and Golden Crow Phase 2 Modification Project

Chen Shang took the sword and nodded. Evelyn stepped into the Teleportation Gate, swallowed by the white light. Ella and Twilight also went their separate ways.

When Chen Shang returned to the Elemental Chamber, the Heart of Fire was still there. The pale gold light on the surface of the sphere was steadier than before. Surtr was sprawled in a corner. The fiery glow seeping from the cracks in its dark red skin resonated with the ambient Fire Element in the room, making it narrow its eyes in comfort.

The Golden Crow crouched on Surtr’s shoulder, tilting its head at the sphere of light while muttering under its breath. Rather than directly teaching the Heart of Fire how to read, it was orally recounting the evolutionary paths of the Innate Divine Spirits of the Fire Element. The Heart of Fire’s consciousness fluctuated intensely. Like an attentive student, it was desperate to learn more.

When Chen Shang approached, the Heart of Fire’s spiritual fluctuations projected fiercely, "So you really didn’t lie to me. This stuff is too useful! I want to stay here for a while longer. Can you tell me in detail how to evolve?"

Chen Shang was left speechless. This guy was having so much fun that it didn’t even want to leave. But this kind of room cost money. Two hundred Wizard Coins a day wasn’t cheap; if it stayed for a few more years, he’d go bankrupt. Walking to the console, he took the Crystal Plate out of his Space Book and opened the upload interface on the Celestial Net. He compiled a brief report detailing the Cyan Bird Face’s energy characteristics, morphological structure, parasitic methods, and its entanglement with the Heart of Fire. Attaching the energy spectrum captured by the Eye of Truth, he clicked upload.

The upload was successful, and a system prompt popped up: "New species submission received. Classification and identification in progress. Estimated feedback time: half an Hourglass."

In ancient times, discovering a new species was a monumental event. The rewards were so generous that even High Tier Wizards would fight over the naming rights. But now, the Pan-Wizard Alliance was expanding at a rapid pace. A large number of new Planes were discovered every year, and new species were a dime a dozen. The meager reward was merely better than nothing.

Chen Shang didn’t care about the Wizard Coins; he just wanted to know exactly what this Cyan Bird Face was. For it to tangle with the Heart of Fire for over a millennium, plant a mark inside a Tier Four Lord, and lie dormant under the nose of the Plane Will for so long—this bird was no simple matter.

Half an Hourglass later, the system returned its feedback. The message wasn’t long, but the amount of information was substantial.

Classification result of the Cyan Bird Face: Flesh and blood lifeform, Wind Element creature subspecies. Suspected of carrying the Void Erosion attribute. Presumed habitat: High-energy Wind Element Plane or near a Void Rift. Intelligence Level: Medium-high. Threat Level: Tier Four. Note: The individual’s energy characteristics partially overlap with several samples in the known Wind Element creature database, but a complete match cannot be found. It is recommended to provide more sample data for accurate classification.

Chen Shang scrolled down a few more pages and saw an entry in the supplementary information section. Paid service: Spend 5,000 Wizard Coins to apply for the coordinates of the creature’s Native Plane. Naturally, he didn’t click it. He didn’t lack coordinates right now; he didn’t even have the time to develop Marcus’s Abyss World, let alone the energy to chase down the Cyan Bird Face’s kin in another Plane.

However, he noticed another piece of information: the Wind-Binding Mark. This shared a name with the purple entry Chen Shang had extracted earlier, but the description was much more detailed: the Wind-Binding Mark was an energy brand naturally formed when a High Tier Wind Element creature parasitized or eroded other Elemental Bodies over a long period. It wasn’t actively cast Witchcraft, but rather a trace of existence. Just as walking on snow left footprints, the Wind-Binding Mark was the footprint left behind by the Cyan Bird Face inside the Heart of Fire. If he could analyze the structure of this footprint, he could reverse-engineer the bird’s Cultivation trajectory, energy frequency, and even the Secret Techniques it once mastered.

Chen Shang turned off the Crystal Plate and leaned against the wall for a moment. A thought suddenly popped into his mind. Using a Divine Artifact to directly slice off the Cyan Bird Face was too much of a waste. This creature could battle the Heart of Fire for a millennium not because it was exceptionally strong, but because it was tenacious, cunning, and capable of quickly adapting to its environment. Tempered over a thousand years, its Spiritual Power had become as tough as steel wire, and just as slippery. If the consciousness within these Spiritual Power Fragments was wiped clean, purified, and guided into the Golden Crow’s body, it might help the Golden Crow complete its secondary evolution.

This plan was highly feasible. First, his reverse analysis revealed that the Cyan Bird Face’s true form was avian, making it highly compatible with the Golden Crow’s physique. Having homologous physiological structures would reduce the chance of rejection. Second, the Golden Crow was a Dream Crow, a species naturally adept at Spiritual Power evolution. Although its Dream Manipulation was suppressed by the Samadhi True Flame, its foundation remained. Third, having extracted the Wind-Binding Mark, he wasn’t completely ignorant of the Cyan Bird Face’s energy characteristics. He could tailor the integration specifically for the Golden Crow.

Chen Shang called the Golden Crow over from Surtr’s shoulder. The Golden Crow tilted its head at him. "Boss, what’s up?"

Chen Shang briefly explained the plan: how to shatter the Cyan Bird Face’s spiritual will, how to purify the Spiritual Power Fragments, and how to guide them into the Golden Crow’s Sea of Consciousness to help it complete its secondary evolution...

Upon hearing this, the Golden Crow’s feathers puffed up and smoothed back down. It stomped its three talons on Surtr’s shoulder and craned its neck. "Boss, it’s such a blessing to follow you! I’m willing to undergo the experiment! When do we start? Right now?"

Chen Shang held it down. "Don’t rush. There’s still a lot to prepare. Good Potions aren’t cheap, so I need to go buy a few things first."
