Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 82: New Servant
Chapter 82: Chapter 82: New Servant
"What a pity about all those Earth Element Crystals. That was a huge fortune!"
A flicker of regret flashed in Selena’s eyes.
"He can’t possibly take all those Earth Element Crystals for himself. Even with Vice-Dean Krell and Professor Radak, he can’t swallow it all. He’ll have to give up a portion to protect the rest."
Ferguson said coldly. Such a massive pile of Earth Element Crystals was too much for a new blood like Antre, who had been at the academy for less than a year, to handle.
"If others want to get Earth Element Crystals from him, they’ll have to trade other things for them."
"After all, he has Professor Radak and Vice-Dean Krell backing him. Vice-Dean Claire is one thing; he has at least several dozen disciples."
"But Professor Radak has only had one disciple his entire life—Andre. He will surely block any and all trouble Andre faces."
"Under these circumstances, even if people want to get Earth Element Crystals from Andre, they’ll have to offer treasures of equal value in exchange."
"What’s more, there are quite a few Wizards in the academy who need Earth Element Crystals. If Andre makes some concessions, these Wizards will become part of his network."
"Even if they look down on Andre as a new blood among Wizards, they’ll have to do him a favor for the sake of Professor Radak and Vice-Dean Krell."
"At that point, Andre’s rise will be unstoppable, unless a few elders from our clans intervene. But a Morning Star Great Wizard obstructing a High Level Wizard Apprentice? If word of that got out, our Four Great Clans would lose all face."
A look of deep apprehension appeared on Jesse’s face as he analyzed Andre’s future prospects.
And the results of his analysis were clearly not good.
They had already offended Andre. Not grievously, but offended him nonetheless.
In the future, when Andre takes over Radak’s position and manages the Wizard Inheritance Hall, they will need to repair their relationship with him.
If they hadn’t offended him, building a good relationship wouldn’t have been difficult.
But now that they had offended Andre, the items and effort required to mend things would have to be on another level.
"Let’s worry about that later. The most important thing right now is to determine whether the Divine Blood is on Andre or not. If it isn’t, then we’re in trouble."
Rite took a deep breath, speaking with a hint of helplessness.
Ever since the Four Great Clans joined forces to discover this Secret Realm left by Angelson, their first thought was to ask the Morning Star Great Wizards from their clans to attack it.
As for the Divine Blood, keys, or whatever else was needed to open the Secret Realm, they hadn’t cared at all.
But unexpectedly, the Secret Realm had a permanent Cross-Dimensional Teleportation Array that sent the Morning Star Great Wizards from their clans directly to other worlds.
Although measures set up within their clans indicated that these Morning Star Great Wizards were still alive, and some had even begun their journey back...
...it would take time, and time waits for no one.
If they could discover this Secret Realm, other powers could too.
During this time, if an opposing force with a Morning Star Great Wizard of their own showed up, the Four Great Clans would be in deep trouble.
"Let’s go. Time to leave the Secret Realm!"
Selena nodded, took a Token from her Storage Ring, and infused it with Magic Power. The Token erupted with light, enveloping Selena and shooting her toward the sky.
Rite and Jesse went to the edge of the great pit, recalled their Battle Pets, and only then activated their Tokens to leave Secret Realm No. 1.
And just after all four of them had left, Andre’s figure emerged from the forest.
As Andre’s figure emerged from the forest, a group of Mixed-blood Dragon Beasts followed him out.
"Collect as many Magic Plants as you can. Next time, I’ll help you concoct Bloodline Promotion Potions."
Seeing that the four had left the Secret Realm, Andre took out a piece of parchment and handed it to the Hybrid Dragon Beast King.
The Hybrid Dragon Beast King nodded, then opened its mouth, snatched the parchment, and tucked it under its tongue.
It then let out a cry, and the Mixed-blood Dragon Beast that had previously formed a contract with Andre walked over, nuzzling him repeatedly with its massive head.
Andre staggered from the nuzzling, almost falling over.
"Alright, I’ll be taking this one with me. Does it have a name?"
Andre steadied himself and patted the Mixed-blood Dragon Beast’s head, asking the Hybrid Dragon Beast King.
The Hybrid Dragon Beast King shook its head and let out a series of low cries.
Andre heard the low cries and nodded.
"I’ll help it become a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon as soon as possible, so it can manifest its true Dragon Race name. Until then, I’ll call you... call you..."
Andre looked at the patterns on the Mixed-blood Dragon Beast’s body, thinking for a long time before coming up with a name.
"I’ll call you Seven Rings!"
Andre had counted the ring-like scales on the Mixed-blood Dragon Beast’s body.
The Mixed-blood Dragon Beast, Seven Rings, hearing that Andri had given it a name, let out a happy cry and, to express its joy, gave Andre a forceful nuzzle.
This time, it knocked Andre right onto the ground.
"Such strength!" Andre patted his rear, got up, and looked at Seven Rings.
Given his current physical stats, knocking him over with a single push was no easy feat.
"Alright, come on in. I’ll take you away from here."
Andre took out a Servant Bag, opened it, and looked at Seven Rings.
Seven Rings looked at the Servant Bag hesitantly but finally nodded, obediently allowing Andre to draw it inside. Then, Andre took out his Token and infused it with Magic Power.
Once it reached its limit, the Token burst with light, enveloping him and carrying him out of Secret Realm No. 1.
’The plan is going smoothly so far, but I don’t know how long I can delay things.’
Andre appeared on a mountaintop. He put away the Token, then tore several Witchcraft Scrolls to form Multiple Wings of the Wind.
He then tore a few more Witchcraft Scrolls and activated his Earth Armor, making sure he wouldn’t get frozen stiff like last time.
With that, he leaped off the mountaintop and flew straight back to the Wizard Inheritance Hall.
"You’re back?" Radak had already stepped out the door and was looking at him the moment he landed.
"Professor!" Andre shook his shoulders, brushing off the frost.
"You’ve stirred up quite a bit of trouble this time."
Although Radak’s tone held a hint of reprimand, his face was full of smiles.
"Those guys have already spread the word."
Hearing Radak’s words, Andre naturally understood what he was talking about.
"Mm, I heard you threatened them with poison in the Secret Realm?"
Radak nodded and said to Andre with a smile.
"I had no choice. Greed makes people reckless. With so much at stake, if I hadn’t threatened them with something, they naturally would have tried to take a share from me."
Andre admitted it directly. There was no point in denying it; he never expected Selena and her group to keep the news about his massive haul of Earth Element Crystals a secret anyway.
He just hadn’t expected Selena and the others to tattle on him so quickly.
They had basically run to their clan elders and complained about him the moment they left Secret Realm No. 1.
"So now those guys are demanding compensation from you. Are you going to give it to them?"
Radak asked Andre with a smile. Andre immediately shook his head.
"Give it to them? What is there to give? That was the nest that birthed Potato. If I’d given it to them, would Potato still have signed a Master-Servant Contract with me?"
Andre rolled his eyes, unable to stop himself from complaining internally. ’The elders of their clans are all cut from the same cloth. They came to my professor to extort me, just trying to get something for nothing.’
"Hmph. I told them the same thing. What is there to give? If they have the guts, they can try to snatch it back from you themselves. Demanding half just for showing up... they should take a look at themselves and see if they’re even qualified."
Radak nodded in satisfaction, his tone filled with disdain.
"Well, if they want to trade for it, that’s acceptable."
Andre nodded, stating his condition.
"But the prerequisite is that the items must be useful to Elemental Creatures. Otherwise, I’d rather feed everything to Potato than give them a single scrap."
