Chapter 365: Sand and the Stone Pillar

Just as the Demon Celestial Dragon punched a hole through the Panhai Stone Turtle’s shell, the Earth-Split Lizard went straight for the Star Python, the one offering the staunchest resistance.

As the Star Python watched the Earth-Split Lizard charge at it, it refused to show weakness. Instantly, a vast amount of light emerged from the surface of its body.

As this light flared, motes of light drifted out from all the surrounding worlds.

Then, this light drifting from the worlds converged upon the Star Python’s body.

This raised the Star Python’s Power by a huge margin, bringing it just shy of the Realm occupied by the two Kings of Magical Beasts, the Demon Celestial Dragon and the Earth-Split Lizard.

‘What a pity. I never expected the Barbaric Universe World to seal itself off after that drop of liquid appeared.’

‘Otherwise, with the help of the Barbaric Universe World, I should have been able to handle one King of Magical Beasts.’

‘Once I held one back, the other one… no, that’s not right, the other two… could also be held at bay.’

After sensing the rising Power within its body, a flicker of human-like disappointment appeared in the Star Python’s massive serpentine pupils.

If not for the fact that the Barbaric Universe World—the most powerful Level 6 World in this World Group—had sealed itself off because of the gray liquid the Silver-White Avatar just produced…

…then it would have stood a fighting chance against these two Kings of Magical Beasts.

Although it would only be in a physical sense, just by using its body, it was qualified to enter a battle of attrition with the two Kings of Magical Beasts.

These worlds were its greatest support, and this was what made the Star Python special.

As mentioned before, the Star Python is a Law Creature, and the Law that gave birth to it was the Law of Stars, a Law related to worlds.

The Law of Stars is similar to world-related Laws, and it is also extremely common throughout the Star Realm.

This allowed the Star Python to use its Talent Witchcraft, Star Call, to channel the Law of Stars and borrow Power from other worlds to enhance its own strength.

Although the effect was temporary, its Power was genuinely enhanced for that duration.

It was precisely because it had these worlds as backing that the Star Python dared to step forward and obstruct the two Kings of Magical Beasts, the Demon Celestial Dragon and the Earth-Split Lizard.

“Increasing your Power? That’s child’s play!”

The Earth-Split Lizard watched the Star Python’s actions with disdain.

‘Power gained by relying on external forces like this will never last.’

‘If I were a Level 6 Creature in the same Realm, I might have chosen to retreat.’

‘But I’m a full Realm higher than it, and that higher Realm happens to be the most crucial one in the Endless Star Realm.’

‘Under the crushing pressure of my Power of Truth and my Realm, it doesn’t matter how many worlds the Star Python calls upon to forcibly bolster its strength. I can handle it.’

At this moment, the Earth-Split Lizard opened its massive maw and stared at the Star Python.

“REND!” the Earth-Split Lizard roared. An overwhelmingly strong force flashed around it.

Instantly, the light drifting from the worlds vanished, and the Power the Star Python had just accumulated disappeared with it.

‘How is this possible? This is my Talent Witchcraft, and I’m a Law Creature!’

The scene created by the Earth-Split Lizard’s roar left the Star Python utterly shocked.

‘Logically speaking, as a Law Creature blessed by the Laws of the Star Realm, I should have held an advantage even if the Earth-Split Lizard used its Power of Truth against me. The Star Realm is my home turf, after all.’

‘But now, with a single roar from the Earth-Split Lizard, it was all over.’

“Did you think that just because you’re a Law Creature, you could use the Law contained in your body to contend with me?”

“You severely underestimate the true Power of a King of Magical Beasts, and you severely underestimate the gap between Level 6 and Level 7 Creatures,”

the Earth-Split Lizard said, looking ferociously at the Star Python.

“The Power of Truth you all grasp is like a pile of loose sand. When you reach out to grab a handful, the vast majority of it slips through your fingers, leaving only a tiny amount in your palm.”

“But the Power of Truth mastered by a Level 7 Creature is a stone pillar that reaches the heavens.”

“This pillar, both in its essence and its quantity, is thousands upon thousands of times greater than the Power of Truth grasped by a Level 6 Creature.”

“How could the Power of Truth you grasp possibly compare to a pillar that reaches the heavens?”

“Even if you are a Law Creature, containing far more Power of Truth in your body than other Level 6 Creatures…”

“…it’s still nothing in the face of a Level 7 Creature.”

“However, since you’re so fond of using the Power of Truth you’ve grasped, allow me to show you the Power of Truth that *I* have mastered.”

“REND!” As it finished speaking, the Earth-Split Lizard let out another roar, and a heaven-piercing pillar of light emanated from its body.

When this pillar of light appeared, all living beings turned to look at it.

But no matter how they looked, whether up or down, they could not see the pillar’s ends.

“This is the Power of Truth I have mastered. Compared to the Power of Truth you’ve grasped, which is stronger?”

The Earth-Split Lizard stared at the Star Python, the mocking amusement in its eyes growing ever deeper.

In reality, this heaven-piercing pillar of light was merely a phantom image of the Power of Truth the Earth-Split Lizard had mastered.

If it were to fully reveal its Power of Truth, everyone present—aside from the Demon Celestial Dragon and the Silver-White Avatar who were in the same Realm—would be completely immobilized. Even the worlds themselves would be frozen.

Only the Barbaric Language World could continue to function.

‘Is… is this the difference between a Level 6 Creature and a Level 7 Creature?’

At this moment, the Star Python finally understood just how laughable the confidence its Talent Witchcraft had inspired in it truly was.

‘Before a true Level 7 Creature, my Talent Witchcraft is nothing more than dust.’

Meanwhile, having escaped the suppression of the Demon Celestial Dragon and the Earth-Split Lizard, the eight other Level 6 Creatures began to rebel.

But unexpectedly, just as they were about to make a move, streaks of Thunder shot down from the Silver-White Avatar’s body, binding them tightly.

The wild boar, the strongest of the eight Level 6 Creatures, was bound by the Silver-White Avatar in an especially crude and humiliating manner.

Its four legs pointed toward the sky, belly up, with its back pressed to the ground.

It looked exactly like a real wild boar that had been caught and was ready for slaughter.

Seeing its own predicament, the wild boar let out furious roars, its body thrashing ceaselessly as it tried to flip itself over.

But no matter how it struggled, the streaks of Thunder from the Silver-White Avatar held its body fast, rendering it completely immobile.
