Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 358: A Life-Saving Item in the Truest Sense
Chapter 358 -359: A Life-Saving Item in the Truest Sense
“This!” The Dean swallowed repeatedly.
Besides producing Elemental Crystals and Elemental Liquid, the Elemental Spring had another, extremely significant function: it could provide a massive boost to Wizards who specialized in a single type of Witchcraft.
In the hands of a compatible Wizard, it was essentially equivalent to a Pseudo-Truth Witchcraft Artifact.
With an Elemental Spring, one would have an unceasing source of Magic Power, allowing them to unleash powerful Witchcraft at any time.
As long as a Wizard’s Spiritual Power did not run dry, they could cast Witchcraft indefinitely. It was precisely this trait that made the Elemental Spring a highly coveted treasure throughout the Endless Star Realm.
HISS! The Dean clamped his mouth shut, forcing himself to read on.
But when he saw the fourth item of compensation, the Dean felt his vision truly begin to blur.
‘This… they can offer something like this?’
‘The remains of a Truth Great Wizard?’
‘How… how could something like this possibly exist in the outside world?’
‘It’s completely impossible for something like this to be preserved.’
After a Truth Great Wizard dies, everything they are is integrated into the world they created, allowing that world to continue developing.
This process is exceptionally fast, almost impossible to capture. That is why the remains of a Truth Great Wizard are exceedingly rare in the Endless Star Realm.
But now, this impossibly preserved item was clearly listed on the manifest before him.
The shock felt like a physical blow to the Dean’s head.
‘I can’t look anymore. I can’t. The more I look, the more I can’t resist.’
The Dean blinked rapidly, trying to suppress the greed rising in his heart.
But no matter how he struggled or how he suppressed it, the greed in his heart flared up like a roaring fire.
Those were the remains of a Truth Great Wizard. If he could get his hands on them and find a way to refine them, he might be able to inherit that Truth Great Wizard’s legacy, smelt their Ladder of Truth, and become a new Truth Great Wizard himself.
‘I can’t think about it. I have to stop thinking about it,’
By now, the Dean’s breathing had become ragged.
‘This is the remains of a Truth Great Wizard. If I successfully refine them, my chances of breaking through to become a Truth Great Wizard would be a full 40%.’ ℯℯ𝘭.
‘Combined with the blessing I received from the Will of the Witch-Sight Civilization and the resources I’ve prepared, if I can obtain these remains, I’m confident I’d have an 80% chance of taking that final step and becoming a new Truth Great Wizard.’
‘An 80% chance… it’s worth the gamble.’
‘But the more I want it, the more I can’t agree to this.’
‘For this Truth Great Wizard and the power behind him to offer such precious resources as compensation, it means that whatever they got from Andre is far more valuable than all of this. It might even mean the Cosmic Sea World itself was just a bonus.’
But he also knew that even if he stubbornly refused to budge, Andre would never be coming back to the academy.
He could only use this stubborn refusal as a way to state his position.
“Have you made up your mind?” the Silver-White Avatar asked with a smile, watching the Dean struggle with his inner greed.
“It’s not enough!” The Dean’s eyes were bloodshot as he glared at the Silver-White Avatar, grinding out the words through clenched teeth.
The Silver-White Avatar paused, surprised. He looked at the Dean, and his expression became playful.
“You want to make an outrageous demand? I’m sorry, but you’re not qualified to do that in front of me.”
The Silver-White Avatar looked at the Dean and shook his head.
“This isn’t a matter of resources. Because Andre is the Child of the World of the Cosmic Sea World, I had already appointed him as the honorary Vice Dean of the White Sea Wizard Academy.”
“That position cannot be bought with materials!” the Dean said, shaking his head as he looked at the Silver-White Avatar.
“So you know what’s valuable!” When the Silver-White Avatar heard that Andre had become the honorary Vice Dean of the White Sea Mage College, he looked momentarily stunned, then nodded in satisfaction.
“Alright. In exchange, you may choose one and a half items from the compensation list.”
The Silver-White Avatar held out his hand as he spoke to the Dean.
“One and a half items?” The Captain, standing behind the Dean, saw the Silver-White Avatar’s outstretched fingers and heard his words. His eyes went wide.
‘Just how precious must these resources be to be measured in fractions!’
“Deal!” Hearing that the Silver-White Avatar was willing to add another half-item, the Dean let out a breath of relief. He then clenched his jaw, extended his hand, and shook the Silver-White Avatar’s.
Next, the Dean chose two items from the list. One of them was the Clear Spirit Calm Tree.
He chose the Clear Spirit Calm Tree not only because it was an extremely precious Magic Plant in the Endless Star Realm, but also because the tree itself was a perpetual source of income.
Once he had the Clear Spirit Calm Tree, he could use its leaves himself, but he could also sell them in exchange for more of the resources needed to break through to the Truth Great Wizard Realm.
As for the remaining half-item, the Dean looked at the list of materials and hesitated once more. Finally, he chose a very peculiar mineral called the Crystal of Void Time.
This mineral was unique and wondrous, typically only appearing in places where time and space collided.
Only such a unique environment could produce this strange object.
The moment a Crystal of Void Time appeared, it would shatter due to the fluctuations in space and time, making it incredibly rare.
Its primary function was to generate a unique small space.
However, this small space was inherently very fragile; you could say it would break with a single poke.
But its effect was nothing short of heaven-defying. The Crystal of Void Time could extend and amplify a certain period of time for oneself.
As long as this unique small space did not shatter and the Crystal of Void Time had not completely burned away,
the time for the person inside would be endlessly extended.
Furthermore, within this small space, all external influences would vanish.
To put it another way, even if something went wrong during a breakthrough and you were on the verge of death,
as long as you used a Crystal of Void Time to generate a small space,
before the Crystal of Illusion and Reality finished burning, you could defy fate and pull yourself back from the clutches of death.
When the small space shattered or the Crystal of Illusion and Reality disappeared, your state would be the one you achieved inside the small space—it wouldn’t be an illusion.
Moreover, the small space generated by the Crystal of Void Time would not be affected by one’s Realm.
It was this very point that made the Crystal of Void Time a true life-saving treasure.
And it was because of this that the Crystal of Illusion and Reality was typically used by Red Sun Great Wizards during their breakthrough to become Truth Great Wizards.
Red Sun Great Wizards often used this characteristic of the small space to re-examine every aspect of themselves and make changes, thereby increasing their chances of a successful breakthrough.
