Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 291 - 292: Power of Definition and Power of Concept
"Ah, this position!"
Upon hearing the Dean, Andre immediately tried to refuse.
But with a wave of his hand, the Dean sealed his lips shut.
"This is just an honorary position, not a real one. What are you worried about?"
The Dean looked at Andre curiously.
"I'm not strong enough to be the honorary vice dean."
A few wisps of gray mist floated from Andre's lips, instantly eroding the Muzzle Technique the Dean had cast.
Andre said this as he looked at the Dean.
"It's just an honorific, a nominal position. It has little to do with your strength."
The Dean looked at Andre and waved his hand dismissively.
"Soon, after we conquer this world, we will establish the Cosmic Sea World Branch. You will then take up your post as its vice dean."
"This is where the Expedition Base was located."
The Dean looked at Andre and, with a flick of his hand, sent a mote of light into the spot between Andre's brows, where it transformed into a stream of information.
Before Andre could even examine the information, the Dean vanished before his eyes.
"This...!" Andre stared where the Dean had vanished, utterly exasperated.
"What was that? What was any of that!"
Andre's expression was a whirlwind of complex emotions.
'He had become the Child of the World of the Cosmic Sea World, sure, but what did that have to do with being an honorary vice dean?'
"Sigh. My problems just keep piling up."
Andre sighed helplessly, shook his head, then turned and flew towards the location recorded in the information.
He cast the Thunder Flash Technique, and his body became an arc of light, streaking across the continent at incredible speed.
After Andre departed, the Dean's figure reappeared in the same spot.
A smile touched his lips as he watched Andre's departing figure.
In the Dean's eyes, Andre's rise was already unstoppable.
Not just anyone could receive the blessing of the Wizard Civilization Will.
Receiving that blessing meant one was officially on the radar of the Wizard Civilization Will.
This meant that, for the time being, Andre was extremely safe.
At the same time, Andre was also the Child of the World of a Level 5 World.
The blessing of the Wizard Civilization Will, the resources of the Cosmic Sea World—no one could stop Andre's rise.
This was precisely why the Dean had given Andre the position of honorary vice dean of the Cosmic Sea World Branch.
He wanted to use this opportunity to forge an unbreakable bond between Andre's destiny and that of the White Sea Wizard Academy.
This way, the growth of the White Sea Wizard Academy might even depend on Andre.
Perhaps even he himself might have to rely on Andre one day.
At that moment, as Andre flew toward the Expedition Base, he called up the System.

After Andre finished looking at his current stats, he stopped in mid-air and carefully examined the data displayed by the System.
'Power, Speed, Constitution, and Spirit... these stats have all multiplied several times over. And Spirit is the highest.'
'And this is just because I recently became a Level 3 Wizard. If I keep going, these numbers will double again.'
'At that point, my stats should be around 500!'
Andre looked at his increased stats and, after a moment's thought, drew a sharp breath.
'If I hadn't redefined the values displayed by the System, these numbers would have already broken past ten thousand, maybe even a hundred thousand!'
'But that's not what's most important. The most important thing is my new Talent: Power of Definition.'
Andre's gaze fell on the very top of the System panel, on the Talent section.
The newly acquired Power of Definition had already pushed his Eye of Origin Talent down the list.
This had never happened before.
'Right now, the Power of Definition is like the Midas touch from the myths of my past life.'
'But as I continue to master and develop the Power of Definition, this ability to transmute matter will prove to be merely a superficial application.'
'The true potential lies in the concepts derived from the Power of Definition.'
'Concepts are born from definition, and they are extinguished by definition.'
'The relationship between the two is subtle. Definition is the source of concepts, yet concepts can, in turn, give rise to new definitions.'
Andre looked at the Power of Definition displayed by the system and continued flying forward.
'The Truth that Wizards pursue is usually a world's Laws and Rules.'
'When a Wizard reaches the level of an ultimate Level 8 Truth Wizard, the Laws and Rules they master are no longer confined to a single world.'
'They can be applied in the vast majority of worlds.'
'But that still falls short of a concept.'
'As long as a concept exists in any given world, a person who has mastered it can wield its power there.'
'In fact, even if someone who has mastered a concept dies, they can be resurrected through its power.'
'This is why concepts can directly give rise to Laws and Rules.'
'But the difficulty of sublimating the Power of Definition into the Power of Concept—let alone into a Power of Definition that can create concepts at will... '
At this thought, Andre couldn't help but sigh again. The difficulty was simply astronomical; it wasn't something a mere mortal could achieve.
'I just solved one problem only to find myself an even bigger one. There's probably no one else like me in the entire Endless Star Realm.'
Thinking of this, Andre's expression turned grim.
'But thankfully, there is a way!'
'According to the books I've read, after Level 8 Truth Great Wizards master Laws and Rules, they start to touch upon concepts. Some have even already mastered the Power of Concept.'
'Having reference materials is far better than fumbling through it on my own.'
'But to sublimate the Power of Definition into the Power of Concept... the difficulty... ugh!'
Andre sighed, pushed the thought to the back of his mind, and continued on his way to the Expedition Base.
