Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 273 - 275: One Against an Army
Chapter 273: Chapter 275: One Against an Army
"My lord, perhaps there’s still a chance for things to turn around."
Farrete said cautiously, seeing the deep worry on Munger’s face.
"A chance to turn around? What kind of chance could there be?"
Munger didn’t believe a word Farrete was saying.
"Well, it’s like this. When the expedition began, my teacher and I made a special trip to see him. We gave him some resources, and he accepted them."
Farrete explained how they had given him the resources.
"Really!" After hearing this, much of the worry vanished from Munger’s face, though a trace of it lingered.
"It’s true! How would I dare lie to you?"
Farrete said, looking at Munger with righteous conviction.
"Good, that’s good. It’s good that there’s still a chance!"
A smile finally appeared on Munger’s face, and he nodded at Farrete.
"You just mentioned that in the ancestral land, a method was born that could transform the Eye of Truth into the Eye of Truth. Is that real?"
"If it is, shouldn’t that method have been popularized on a massive scale by now?"
Farrete voiced the doubt in his heart as he looked at Munger.
"A method was indeed born that can transform the Eye of Truth into the Eye of Truth."
"However, the prerequisite is that this method only works on people who have awakened a Talent Witchcraft."
Munger looked at the confusion on Farrete’s face, sighed, and said helplessly.
"Are the requirements that strict?"
"Otherwise, why do you think I’m so angry!"
As Munger said this, he shot Farrete a look.
Hearing this, Farrete quickly shut his mouth.
’Munger was just about to point at my nose and curse me out.’
He didn’t want the curses Munger had just held back to be directed at him now.
"Then what’s the success rate of this method?"
After thinking for a moment, Farrete looked at Munger and asked.
"According to the information from my senior brother, the success rate is about 12%."
"12%? That low!"
Farrete blinked, then exclaimed in surprise.
"Kid, a 12% success rate is already considered very good."
"This is a Miracle Technique. It allows those who haven’t boarded the ship of Truth to the other shore to get a glimpse of Truth’s existence ahead of time."
"Having a 12% success rate is already..."
Munger trailed off here, seeming to think of something, and then closed his mouth.
Seeing Munger’s reaction, Farrete also shut his mouth.
"Alright, have your Third Battalion regroup. Then have the mothership send someone to take you back for repairs."
"Although I’ve already made one of the Three-headed Giant Whales my servant."
"But in this world, there are still two other Giant Whales, a Child of the World, and the Racial Alliance Army. These guys are waiting for you to deal with them!"
As he said this, Munger clapped Farrete on the shoulder, and then his figure vanished from before him.
The moment Munger left, Wulumu, who had been licking its wounds, suddenly revealed a ferocious glint in its eyes. Its figure flashed, appearing before Farrete. It was just about to speak and force Farrete to reveal how to break the Master-Servant Contract when suddenly, an immense force pulled it away in the same direction Munger had departed.
"Whew, that scared me to death!"
A long while after Wulumu was taken away by Munger, Farrete finally reacted, patting his chest.
When Wulumu had suddenly appeared before him, the oppressive aura of a Morning Star Life form had nearly suffocated him.
Logically, he was a Level 3 Wizard, only a single step away from being a Morning Star Wizard, but in front of Wulumu, he felt as helpless as an infant.
Meanwhile, Andre had run into trouble.
’Of all the luck, why did I have to run into these guys?’
Andre flew through the sky, his face twisting with frustration as he looked at the Racial Alliance Army in the distance. He couldn’t be more annoyed.
How could he be so unlucky? He was just flying alone, searching for the location of the Expedition Base.
But then, all of a sudden, he had run right into this Racial Alliance Army.
Although it was just a small contingent of the Racial Alliance Army, taking them out all by himself would be extremely difficult.
’Sigh, if the Eight-toothed Giant Elephant were here, I could take care of these guys with its help.’
’But right now, I only have Potato and Seven Rings with me. The King of the Black Iron People, the Frenzied Beastman King, and the Eight-toothed Giant Elephant are all on the Morning Sky and I didn’t bring them down.’
’Should I go all out and fight, or should I fly back and avoid them?’
Andre flew onward, mulling over the matter.
But before he could come up with a plan, a dozen or so dark figures from the Racial Alliance Army flew toward him.
’What are those?’ Andre opened his Eye of Truth and got a crystal-clear look at the dark figures.
The Wind Feather Race!
Andre frowned as he observed these members of the Wind Feather Race.
These members of the Wind Feather Race looked different from the ones Angela had shown him back at the Expedition Base.
The Wind Feather Race he had seen at the Expedition Base only had a single pair of wings.
But the ones flying toward him now had at least two pairs of wings, with the most having four.
’They’re coming on strong. They’re clearly here to kill me.’
’In that case, I’ll just have to go all out!’
’Maybe the fluctuations from the battle will attract a nearby Star Realm Battleship.’
Andre made his decision instantly.
Being chased around wasn’t his style.
Even though this contingent of the Racial Alliance Army outnumbered him by who knows how much...
...his Storage Ring was filled with a large number of Potions, so he didn’t have to worry about his endurance at all.
As long as he wasn’t completely surrounded by the Racial Alliance Army, he was confident he could kite them and kill them one by one.
He hadn’t forgotten the scene when he had tested his Primordial Lightning.
"Hah!" Andre let out a low roar as his body began to expand, quickly returning to his true height.
At this moment, Andre’s height had reached over 70 meters.
The reason for this increase in height was that he had been digesting the Power of World Origin while flying.
Then, an endless gray mist billowed out from Andre’s body, completely enveloping him.
Streaks of golden lightning then began to dart out from within the gray haze.
The members of the Wind Feather Race flying toward Andre saw the changes happening to him and quickly halted their advance.
They couldn’t quite understand how the transformation on Andre was happening.
