Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 267 - 269: Role Reversal
Chapter 267: Chapter 269: Role Reversal
’Are they really trying to use these things against me? Are they underestimating me that much?’
’Even my weakest clone could easily withstand the attacks from these Magic Energy Destruction Cannons.’
’And now that I’ve manifested my true form, my Defense Power is at its absolute peak.’ 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ
’These Magic Energy Giant Cannons can’t even break through my fur. Are they insane, or what?!’
Wulumu’s heart was filled with contempt. He opened his mouth, and a myriad of lights began to coalesce within.
If these creatures dared to underestimate him, they couldn’t blame him for killing them all.
Originally, he had wanted to capture them alive, to get his hands on these strange contraptions for further study.
But now, that was no longer necessary. There were many more enemies invading his world.
After killing the ones before him, there would be plenty more enemies waiting.
Even if he couldn’t get his hands on these strange contraptions right now,
he could always take them from other enemies after he was done with these.
But then Wulumu noticed something was wrong. Above these strange contraptions, terrifying fluctuations of Power began to emerge, one after another.
These fluctuations were on the same level as him.
’Don’t tell me these strange contraptions can all launch attacks on my level? How is that possible?’
In his alarm, Wulumu stopped charging and immediately spat out the Light Bombs in his mouth.
Once these Light Bombs were free of Wulumu’s control, they reverted to their original forms.
Some became meteorites, one became an iceberg, and others turned into gigantic Wind Blades. Alongside them, several tidal waves materialized out of thin air.
The instant this Witchcraft appeared, the surrounding space began to tremble.
Among all these attacks, the most eye-catching was a Light Ball spat out by Wulumu’s true form.
After leaving Wulumu’s body, the Light Ball transformed into a spatial rift, tearing through the space around it.
"He’s getting desperate. That’s good. Fire!"
Farrete watched the attacks hurtling toward him without the slightest bit of panic, directly issuing the command through the Witch Brain Core.
Instantly, beams of light erupted from the Star Realm Battleships.
The beams of light tore across the sky and instantly collided with Wulumu’s attacks.
The various natural disasters, which had just begun to subside, flared up once more. Everything in the vicinity was torn to shreds.
Then, crushed by the overwhelming Magic Power and Elements, it all turned to dust.
Meanwhile, Wulumu retreated a few steps, opened his mouth again, and began to gather power.
He was going to kill these creatures utterly, then search their Souls to find out where the Power for these strange contraptions came from.
Meanwhile, after releasing the second wave of Morning Star Witchcraft, Farrete and his men activated the Space Travel function on their Star Realm Battleships and vanished.
The collision of two waves of Morning Star Power was not something the Star Realm Battleships could withstand directly.
The hulls of the Star Realm Battleships under their command had, for the most part, not yet reached the Morning Star level.
If they tried to tank the blow head-on like Wulumu did with his body, the Star Realm Battleships would likely shatter.
"Hmm?" Wulumu looked around, his mouth still open, searching for any sign of the Star Realm Battleships.
But the Star Realm Battleships seemed to have vanished. No matter how he searched, he couldn’t find a single trace of them.
’Did they run away because they couldn’t win?’
Wulumu scanned his surroundings, confirming it once more.
After confirming there were indeed no traces of the Star Realm Battleships, the light in Wulumu’s mouth began to dim.
But in the next instant, several beams of light materialized above his head, burning holes straight through his fur.
Wulumu snapped his head up toward the sky.
Several shadows flickered across the sky, gone in an instant.
’Are they using their sheer Speed to circle around me?’
’Is that why I can’t see them?’
’But what real damage can attacks like this possibly do to me?’
A cruel glint flashed in Wulumu’s eyes, and his body began to shrink rapidly.
As his body shrank, gusts of black Wind flowed out and merged with the cataclysm created by the clash of Morning Star Witchcraft.
’A quick reaction. But no matter how fast you react, it’s useless. The bell of death has already tolled for you!’
Farrete watched Wulumu’s movements and nodded.
When he realized Wulumu was one of the three "big fish," he had not only relayed the information back to the War Mother Ship but had also altered the battle plan.
Originally, the Morning Star Witchcraft triggered by the War Weapons was meant to be the means by which he would annihilate the Racial Alliance Army.
But Wulumu’s sudden appearance had made Farrete change his mind.
Since Wulumu, one of the three "great whales," had voluntarily revealed himself, why not try to reel him in?
And so, Farrete had modified the plan on the fly.
Before the modification, Farrete’s initial plan had been to use a few blasts of Morning Star Witchcraft to wipe out the Racial Alliance Army directly.
But Wulumu’s sudden appearance meant that the planned Morning Star Witchcraft would be blocked by him.
That being the case, he would have all members of the 3rd Battalion activate their Morning Star Witchcraft and kill Wulumu instead.
In Farrete’s eyes, Wulumu alone was worth more than the entire Racial Alliance Army.
At first, everything had been proceeding according to his plan.
That is, until Wulumu released two doppelgangers, each as powerful as his main body, to counterattack.
This Ability of Wulumu’s had not been mentioned in any of their prior intelligence.
The appearance of this Ability had genuinely taken Farrete by surprise.
Faced with the sudden appearance of these two doppelgangers, Farrete had once again modified his plan.
He had originally planned to use the second wave of Morning Star Witchcraft to kill Wulumu outright.
But the sudden appearance of the two doppelgangers had shattered his original plan.
To make the doppelgangers disappear, he could only order his subordinates to stall for time.
In his opinion, Wulumu’s doppelgangers couldn’t possibly last forever.
As long as the doppelgangers vanished, they would still have their chance to kill Wulumu.
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. The Wulumu on the ground suddenly vanished.
In the next instant, Wulumu’s figure appeared in front of a Star Realm Battleship.
Wulumu looked at the Star Realm Battleship before him, the corner of his rightmost head’s mouth curling upward.
Then, Wulumu’s claw slammed viciously into the Star Realm Battleship.
With a deafening CRASH, a huge gash was torn into the Star Realm Battleship.
The inscribed Defense Witchcraft Array on the Star Realm Battleship was completely shattered by the blow.
"Captain, this thing’s Power is too great! I have no choice but to self-destruct the ship."
The Wizard in the Central Control Room looked at Wulumu, a flash of grim resolve in his eyes. Then, his figure vanished.
In the next moment, the Star Realm Battleship exploded. The force of the blast knocked Wulumu back two steps and blew off one of his massive claws.
’How can that monster’s Power be so immense?!’
On the ground, in an undisclosed location, the Wizard who had just been in the Central Control Room reappeared.
He looked up at the fireball in the sky, his heart aching. That was the Star Realm Battleship that had been passed down through his family for generations.
